I need a plan because I don't have one. Well, I DO have a plan, but I want a more particular plan for a couple of weeks because I want to see something happen!

Friday - Sunday
Usual WOE--
40% low glycemic vegetables
50% meats, dairy, eggs
10% seeds, nuts, berries

Monday - Wednesday
proteins and fats only

I want to get my fluffy belly gone. It's really poofy lately.

Thursday - Sunday

proteins and fats and about 20-30 grams of complex vegetable carbs

I'll see how things are going then. That is, if I don't change my mind before next Sunday, and end up doing something else.

202 today. Lots of water retention. We had sweet potato fries and fish sticks last night--both store-bought, and store-bought tartar sauce.

I'm tired of being sick. Maybe I'll have enough energy today to do some sorting. That would be nice. I might remember to play a board game w/ the kids.

I found some motivation tonight!



I was sorting boxes of clothes in my closet, you know the kind that no longer fit, but that you keep because SOME DAY they will? I found a bunch of clothes that I loved wearing, and a lot of clothes that I only wore once or twice because I bought them hoping that they would fit when I didn't fit most XL clothes but was too small for any 1X. They were too tight. I have some clothes in there that I really, really like, and I want to wear them!

Maybe I'll feel well enough to eat normally tomorrow. Well, cook, I mean. I feel well enough to eat whatever, I just haven't felt like preparing it.

Starting '72 Atkins in the morning. DH says that he will, too. I'm excited about it, because I want to wear my old clothes!

Lots of water retention going away!

The morning of the day that I came down w/ the flu, I noticed that my stomach was swollen/puffy. It still is, but it's going away. Can the flu make a person's stomach swollen? Well, I suppose if it's the swine flu, then that would make sense.

Starting day 4 of Atkins '72.
Down about 6 lbs.

Very excited to see that! I thought that it would be higher because of Saturday's weight, and because when I weighed yesterday, it was so much later in the morning. (I usually weigh less and less as the morning goes on--as long as I haven't eaten breakfast, of course! Hence, the reason that I weigh around the same time everyday. Can't do that if you sleep late, though! )


Today is the start of day 7 on Atkin's '72.

Had Indian food yesterday--chicken coconut curry, chai w/ Sweet & Low (1st time that I've had that.), 1/2 papadum, shrimp in a yummy sauce (I don't remember what kind.). Definitely not the next stage of Atkins '72, but I didn't really care.

Bad thing is, I had Indian again, tonight. This time w/ DH.

Back to Atkins '72 tomorrow.


I did go to the gym today. I used the elliptical for 30 minutes, mildly, since the doctor told me to rest.

Yesterday, went to Skamania Lodge for brunch, corn maze (tasted their fresh apple cider, but it tasted like apple juice), then for dinner had most of a Taco Bell salad and Safeway Chinese food--lots of sugar for dinner, I think! TWO SF coffees w/ half-and-half. Weird day for food!
