Life Without Limits for Skeeweeaka...

Well I'm frustrated so I decided to start a journal... Tried M&E last week and lost ZERO pounds....all that suffering for nothing!

Ate everything but the kitchen sink this past weekend... Bloated and feeling ill now.... It has been a tough three weeks... Stayed on plan for the most part but this weekend...oh well.... Ok, goals for this week, stay low carb 40 or below...eat with my BMR....drink plenty of water to flush out my system!

Thanks everyone for the support... I have been floundering lately and just recommitted myself this week. I have decided to begin weight lifting next week, three times a week, as well as two days of aerobic.... Everyone speaks so well about weight lifting and the effect that it has had so I will give it a go!

Today's menu was...

B: 2 sausage patties, 2 eggs, once slice pepper cheese, 2 T. coconut oil in coffee

D: Tuna salad, tomato soup, 1/2 apple, 3 squares dark chocolate

I have been tracking in Fitday but am going to give it a rest for this week. It's been a tough 3-4 weeks, however!

Goals for this Month...1. Drink 96 ounces of water a day. 2. Exercise 3 days a week. 3. Eat at BMR at least 3 days week!

Did some more research on metabolic resistance and found a site where a man followed a similiar diet, simply lean meats and veggies, along with 3 tsp. of omega 3 oil daily.... This seemed to be the key to him losing the weight so I think I will start this program...

I think I will do refeeds every 12-14 days, however, so that I won't get bored with the program. I will also add Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Magnesium, Potassium, and Calcium supplements...this in addition to the Fish Oil supplements...

Well today I am doing the Egg Fast to sort of give my body a weight loss jump start, hopefully...eggs and fat are all I'm eating for 3-4 days.... If I don't see a weight loss then I will do the veggies and protein, lean, with the Fish Oil and see if I lose that way... I'm thinking that since I am metabolically resistant that perhaps all of the fatty foods are too much... In the Egg/Protein Fast thread someone suggested that they were going to do 3 or 4 days on the fast, then the remainder of the days low carb...that sounds good to me....probably three days being the best... When I start lifting that will work out well because they suggest a refeed on the fourth day to restore glycogen stores for weight lifting... If I do M,T,W,Th fasting and F,S,S low carb that will work out well for the weekends... I could throw the refeed in on Friday or Saturday which would be the 5th or 6th day instead of the 4th which I think would be just fine... I'm thinking I could even do the intermittant fasting for the 4th day instead of fat fasting....to switch things up a bit...but we'll see. The variety will keep me going and keep my body guessing I think...

Today's menu...

BF: Coffee with cream and 1 t. EVCO...3 eggs with 1 t. EVCO. Well felt good after consuming the eggs and coconut oil with some garlic... Looking forward to the next meal.

I'm eager to hear how it turns out.....I did M/E for 3 days last year and lost about 8lbs....tried a couple of weeks ago and only lost about 3...needless to say I was a little disappointed as if my body had gotten used to it...I've only eaten eggs and bacon this morning, I may try this!

Enjoy your day TJ!

Wow 8 pounds, that is fabulous! Heck I'll even take the 3!!!

Tomswife apparently started on Friday at 201 and I think she said she was at 196 today...so that is pretty darn good for a weekend... Hey if I can get that this week I'll be over the moon!

Enjoy your day Dedicated...

Ok so today I've had....

BF: Coffee with cream and CO. 3 scrambled eggs in CO

L: 2 Scrambled eggs in CO

D: Egg Cream with 1/2 c. Almond breeze, 1/4 c. HC, vanilla, splenda, 2 eggs, 2 deviled eggs

Interesting...felt nauceous earlier today after lunch.... Headache feeling today as well...although anxious at the same time... It is an odd feeling, but I'll go with it if I can lose 3 pounds in 3 days I will be happy....then back to low carb life...IF probably.... The things I do to lose weight!

Well at least I made it through...as they say you can make it through 3 days of any eating plan... Not a lot of calories though so I think 3 days is tops... I definitely need to eat closer to my BMR.... Perhaps tomorrow I will feel a little better...

After inputting my numbers into Fitday, I didn't do too bad... Taking my supplements as we speak...that may help with the nausea and anxious feeling... Todays numbers were:

Ok, today not down any weight....heavy sigh...and was really sick from the eggs yesterday....naseous...headache...stomach cramps....can't do the egg fast... Today I added 3 slices bacon to the 3 eggs...never have a problem with combining... I don't know if it was the eggs or meds I am on...

Anyway...will just try to do a meat fast for 3 days and see where that takes me... Honestly, last time I had no loss so we'll see. I must admit it is looking more like Stillman's as an option, no fat, don't know if I can go from fat to no fat...truely diet foods... We'll see at the end of the week.... I mean it takes me weeks to lose one pound and I'm really tired of that. I'm wondering if eating 5 times a day would help at all...definitely need to give that a whirl and see if that works too...

Metabolic resistance sucks!

Ok, so I forgot to weigh myself today before I ate breakfast. I had 3 strips of bacon and 3 eggs.... I'm not sure if I'll have the same thing for dinner or not... Perhaps burgers instead...

Yesterday for snacks I had salami and cheese, 2 servings...or for lunch I guess...then the bacon and eggs again for dinner...

I'm feeling better than I did on the Egg Fast, definitely, not really super tired or anything...not hungry...

Although I feel a little lighter, for some reason my body doesn't want to let go of the weight... Today I'm going to drink a lot of water and see how that goes... I also need to make sure I take my supplements.

Oh nice to meet you Cletra...I'm Terry...actually Terry Jean but forget about the Jean please lol!

Happy to hear your scale is moving down....I thought I was dying....probably a reaction with my meds...so I added the bacon...

I enjoy IF because I don't have to worry about food. IF actually helped me to get control of my binge eating early on and so I do it a couple of times a week, especially when I see myself obsessing with food or craving sweets. I have some information on IF in my blog if you care to visit. It is actually good for you... I usually fast from 7:00 or 7:30 p.m. at night until the next day at around 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m... Sometimes my eating window is longer than that and sometimes it is narrower...depending upon how I am feeling that day...

This week, Thursday and Friday, I will fast until about 2:00 p.m. Then I will again eat until 7 or 7:30... Saturday I will probably only eat one meal...one large meal, however!

Regular fasting is much more difficult for me and I have done that in the past which helped me to identify some allergies that I had...

Peace and Blessings to You...

Well my third day went well....protein for all three meals...although I'm feeling a little anxious at the moment and am wondering if it has anything to do with the sausage I ate that has msg in it, the answer is probably...

Oh well we'll see how I feel tomorrow... Will weigh myself in the morning and decide whether or not I will continue the fast or move on to low carb for the rest of the week...

Yeah, I'm Tommyswife. Are you ladies talking about me. Yep, I was being nosey, reading your journal a just so happen, my name is mentioned.

Hi Honey, how are you? Weight lifting is the key to boosting a sluggish metabolism and reshaping your body. To me, exercise isn't negotiable but of course there are some that feel it isn't necessary.

Good luck on your endeavor to lose the pounds.
