Final restart...Loves 2008
I am starting yet another journal.
2 years ago in September 2006 I began my low carb journey. I was very successful, went from 162 to about 140 – 142. Then I stalled. For months. And got frustrated. And went on and off plan for about a year and a half. I am back now, induction as of Saturday Sept 20, 2008. I was up and down between 166 and 162 when I re-started on Saturday. I am hanging at 162 some 5 or 6 days later. I hope to see the 150’s in the next week or 2.

Yet again
Restarted on Monday, 11/3/08. Was about 165 and am 162 today.
Taking it one day at a time and trying to keep it simple. Again, the hardest part for me is the fact that i have so much carby food on hand in my stockpile that was free or very cheap and it bothers the frugal side of me to spend money on low carb stuff. BUT I am trying to be frugal about that too.

Hey Lisa, I see you went to ALDI. How was that? Is it really worth the trip? There are a couple things about it that has kept me away so far but I should probably take a trip thru to see if it is worth it to shop there.
What is WAGS? Hope everything is going well for you!!! |

Hey there!
Aldi is worth the trip. They don’t have everything but what they have is cheaper than the grocery store. How close is yours? Mine is not too far away. I have a price list for many items, I will pm it to you. I coupon big time so I don’t get everything there but what I can’t get really cheap with coupons I get there. Also, they have decent prices on meat/poultry, so if you don’t follow the dirt cheap sales at the grocery store and stock up, it might be an option for you if you eat ‘grocery store meat’. This Thursday they will have smoked salmon for like 3.99 a pack I think…DH LOVES this…so I will stock up for sure. WAGS is Walgreens. LOL!! About March of this year I think, when milk went to $4 a gallon and eggs to $2 a dozen and packages started shrinking…and gas was thru the roof, I decided to dedicate some time to couponing. I knew people could get stuff really cheap or free so I went online and started reading about it. Now, I am one of those that pays $6 for a cart full of food. I have an outrageous stockpile. And I have only been doing this for 8 or 9 months? I donate a lot. I am doing OK. I restarted (again) on Sunday. So far so good as far as staying on plan. I feel like a cow. You still doing well on core? |
