Hi everyone.
I am a newbie to this site and to the low carb lifestyle. I have tried the low fat diets more times than I can count and am still struggling with my weight. I have been fighting the battle of the buldge since I became pregnant with my daughter 9 years ago. Before I got pregnant, I weighed 130 - (I was 21 years old and certainly do not expect to be that weight again - but close would be nice). At my heaviest I was 212 and the lowest my weight has been in that period of time is 167. Currently, I am back up to 190. It is unbelievable how easy it is to put weight back on. Recently DH and I moved the family (we have 2 children) to South Carolina from New York. It has all been very exciting but I think that a part of me became depresed because I didn't have any family or friends down here. I have gained about 20 pounts since the beginneing of May and am pretty disgusted with myself. DH has also gained quite a bit of weight and we both know that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The other day, DH mentioned that he wanted to start eating low carb and I decided that I was going to do it too. I started doing some research on the internet and came across this site. Today is my first day of induction and I know that I am going to do it this time. NO MORE EXCUSES! I'll be back later to let you know how the first day went
