good morning Ann

i'm simply in awe of how well you're doing. it seems atkins was made for you.

i remember way back when i first started low carbing and the weight just fell off me too. but that was years ago and after tonnes of yoyo dieting in the interim my body refuses to shed weight like that anymore and now it's a slow arduous process just to budge a few lbs. (even though i am sticking religiously to plan)

so keep up the good work and make the most of your golden shot.

ps - you're not posting to nobody, lol. even if i don't always reply i always read the new updates.

Aww thanks Raine! I feel sort of cool having a Kiwi check in on me

Honestly, I think the reason why I am losing like this is because I have been SO carbed up! The more I read (I'm reading my mother's old Atkins 72 and lots around here) the more I see how much fluff I was probably retaining. First of all, I have a feeling I was carrying about 10 pounds of water. And honestly, I think that was mostly my initial loss.

Oh yes, and I weighed today 137 lbs.

I feel pretty good about this, I might even hit my goal for Thursday. My body feels like an entire different system-- I am blazing hot all through out the day, my pee stinks, my breath stinks, I have to apply deodorant multiple times a day-- but I take this all as an indication that things are working.

As for my meals for the rest of today

snack of olives and Laughing Cow (1)

Salad with chicken (5)

My new chocolate "cake" (4)

So today's total was 20 carbs

Well, I am off to bed!

Ok,

For lunch I had 2 steak ums with mozzarella and mayo and mustard (1)
I gotta work on eating more veggies!!

I am going to the store later, I am thinking of getting some yogurt. I read online that really a cup of plain yogurt is more like 4 carbs. Well, I love yogurt AND I've had trouble getting things "moving." I have had the flax and that seems to worsen my problem, so I will give this a try. Maybe for a day! I know that sounds a little extreme, but I am getting annoyed with this constipation (TMI, I know) I really don't feel like being bloated and "stuffed up" when I see my fiance for the first time in two months LOL. I am doing this for health-- and I mean that whole heartedly-- BUT if it takes a fews days of straight activia to loosed me up, so be it!!

Tata for now!

hey Ann

you must be looking absolutely smashing by now. i can barely see you in your pic but whether that's because it's dark or because you're so lovely and thin it's hard to tell!

keep up the great work.

Hah Raine, the picture quality is a bit questionable-- my little web cam isn't so great!

I had this after noon

1/2 cup of coffee with 1 wedge laughing cow (2)

1/2 oz. walnuts (1)

For dinner I am having store bought stuffed mushrooms which I am going to count as one carb each, and scallops.

I'll be checking in later!!

K, well those mushrooms were TOO filling! I had 4-5 of them (5)

Oh and did I mention the pork rinds with cheese, LOL (1)

I changed my avatar, this should be better Raine
My mom and I went out to a state park today and fun and took silly pictures. It was a lot of fun.

So I just posted a rant in the ML: Not Weighing Yourself... At All

I have decided to NOT weigh myself anymore. I just want to be free! Today I went for a big long bike ride after dinner. I just want be active and healthy and have no tie-downs now that things with my mom are as the are. There are so many more important things in life than a number on a scale. I am swearing it off!

Ah, I keep almost going from the computer then remembering something else! I wanted to post a "before" pic.

This picture, from a beach vacation in July (who wears sweat pants to the beach? I know!) I was probably 145. But 150, I was really "camera-shy." Anyway, you can see from the picture my face is SO bloated, my coloring is off, and my belly is bulging. I also think you can see the difference in the softness of my general physique as compared to my avatar. Anywho, here it is:

Ok,
Well I had 4 TB natural peanut butter (6)

So my daily total is 21 g

I have been thinking about how I am going to climb the carb ladder and such. The time will be coming soon! Yogurt tomorrow

Night Night

B:
1 C yogurt (plain, probiotic) with Splenda and cinnmon (5)
coffee with cream and Splenda (3)

I'll be checking in through out the day, I trying to get some "relief" today via yogurt. I'm trying to eat light until then!

Good Afternoon!

Well, I know I have been contemplating how to go about adding carbs back in to my regime. I know I have talked about SBD before, and I keep finding myself there. I just feel the structure of the phases appeal more to em than counting. I am going to try Phase 1 for a week and see how I feel (Phase 1 actually contains a lot of OWL foods). The only thing is the fat content-- I will still be putting half'n'half in my coffee and I won't seek out low-fat cheeses-- I will just be aware portions and quantities. As for yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta, and milk, low fat is great for me.

Anyway, I will be checking in through out the day

Thanks Raine

I wish the picture showed how much of a pooch I had (you can sort of tell) and the plumpness in my hips and thighs.

Speaking of hips and thighs, I went to Target to today, I bought size 4 jeans!!
That felt great! I haven't eaten since this morning, but I am going to have some more yogurt, still hoping for relief lol.

I'll be checking in again this evening!

Yummy, yummy... I just had some probiotic with Splenda, cinnamon, and some walnuts! It was so good! And the best news its, things finally got "moving," so I am back to solid food for dinner. I think we are going out, so it will probably be a grilled chicken salad of some sort.

I got dressed in my size 4 jeans... this is so amazing. Two weeks ago I was wearing size 10? I do have to say, however, that I have bruises all over my butt and thighs from the fast loss

Anyway, I'll be back later.

Okkkkk

For breakfast I had some coffee with cream and probiotic yogurt with walnuts and cinnamon.

For lunch, I had a grilled chicken salad with tomato, avocado, etc.

I just made a mouse pie with low-fat milk and sugar-free mouse mix, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with melted natural peanut butter, it should be good for a birthday party I am throwing!

I am feeling really good in my "new" body. I keep running into people, and they seem a bit... shocked! I guess 15 lb. is a change. I feel really healthy!

I'll be checking in through out the day!

lol, Raine, what can I say I love my chocolate fluff!

I had my chicken kabob, a little bean salad, loads of veggies, and some of my cake

Oh yeah, I over indulged in some walnuts before dinner. They were yummy though.

Anyway, today was so hectic and wild. Tomorrow I will see the fiance. I think he will be quite pleased

I am sure I'll be dropping a line again here later!

Good morning!

Well, today is the day I've been waiting for. I am going to see my guy and I am wearing the jeans that I was so concerned about wearing! I am feeling really good about my body! This journaling has been so helpful for me on my quest for health and through the news of my mother's diagnosis.

I, of course, plan to continue my journal, but I will be away till Saturday. I am going try to stay OP as much as possible. If a situation arises, I will opt to more Phase 2 time foods.

Everyone have a great end of week!

Yay for wearing your goal jeans.

When you were doing stillman's, what was your typical menu per day?

Hey Rain and Tommyswife

My time with the boy was great! It was so great to see him during this time; it was good recharge. Thursday I stayed mostly on Phase One, but I did have some chocolate cake that his mom knows I love Also, I decided that Friday would be an "fun-day!" Boy was it fun, we had picnic and a romantic dinner out-- I didn't overeat at ALL! It was totally wonderful to enjoy food like a "normal" person. Today I was back to plan! I have decided I'll be moving to Phase Two soon

Tommyswife, I didn't do Stillman's for too long, but if you look through my earlier posts I documented every morsel I ate lol.

Ok, I'll be checking in tomorrow!

Ah Hello!

Well, I have been really busy with school beginning again-- yesterday was hectic and I didn't get a chance to post. I want to be back to posting my daily menus now! I am enjoying Phase 2 quite well. Yesterday I had some yogurt with nuts and 2 subway sandwiches on wheat (moveday day, not so perfect eating!) Today I had coffee for breakfast with half and half and Splenda. For lunch, I had cottage cheese and tomatoes. Anyhow, I'll be checking in again later!

Cheers
