Bob's Corner....
Hey everyone
![]() I feel like making a journal to post the daily stuff. My eating has been going great and the water has been good too. I take a daily vitamin and 2-4 fish oil tabs per day. It's almost been automatic and that's great. The downside is I haven't started exercising yet. Last time I did Induction for six months and lost ninety pounds. The only exercising being the stairs and valve wrenching at work with maybe three walks over most of that time period. I had a great training partner back then but I've moved further away and he has moved onto other things. I weighed 376 earlier this year at one of the contests and the last contest I was at I weighed 352. A week or so ago I weighed 346 at the Dr's office so it seems to be coming off pretty steadily. I feel like ranting and venting, but I'll save that for another post ![]() |

I went thru some photos and edited a few to post here.
The first one is from Feb I think it's something we don't normally do, a wheelborrow push. I think it was around 1000 pounds, first we had to load the sand bags and then push it to see who could do it the fastest. I wasn't the fastest but I got it done, notice how purple my face is and it was cool in there. I must have been somewhere close to my 376 highest weight there. Bobswheelborrow.jpg Last June, a 600 lb silver dollar dealift. I weighed 369 there. 600deadlift.jpg Last July, a 210? axle press. I'm not sure about the weight of the axle picture but that was my best. I weighed 352 on that day. 210axle.jpg So, when I'm talking about contests you'll have an idea what kind of fun stuff I get to do. My goal is to weigh alot less and get stronger and quicker. |

Back in the day there was a contest where they slowly filled the boxes with silver dollars. The man that pulled the most got to keep all the money in the boxes. At least that's my take on the event. Now they just throw heavy iron plates in there but it's alot of fun anyway. It's a partial deadlift because with the box height it makes it conciderably higher than a regular deadlift.

Well, just got a phone call from Lorraine saying she just had enough time to catch her connecting flight to Manchester. I'm glad she made it ok, she thought she was going to have an hour wait but it looks like they just made it.

![]() I'm over it now, the day before they left I was questioning why I agreed to let them go I was getting frustrated with tightness in the chest and a really bad headache. I took a three hour nap, the headache and tightness were gone but I was still feeling a bit tempermental. Yeah, I'm a big wuss. This morning I go to take the trash out and find a dent in her car. I'm not sure if it happened while we were at the airport or while I was in wal-mart when I got home. Anyway, I told her when she called and told me she'd gotten there ok. It's not too bad, just one of the front fenders has a crease in it. How's that for ranting? ![]() |

Thanks D and Raine!
![]() Well I didn't do much more than sleep yesterday and last night. I went to bed early so I could get up to mow the lawn, but it was raining and pretty wet. It finely dried enough around 5pm so I just finished mowing. It doesn't look very good, but at least it's knocked down so it will be better later next week. I didn't eat much yesterday, nor did I take my vitamins and all that stuff. I ate some cheese and almonds and drank some water and coffee. This morning when I first woke up at 3:30am I had a cold hamburger patty. When I got up again at 9am I just ate some almonds and a couple of small pork chops while I watched some tv. Later in the day I took all my pills for the day and didn't feel all that great in the stomache. Now I'm eating hamburger patties and cheese and am feeling pretty good. that's about it ![]() |

Nope it sure isn't much of a routine. But I'm pretty sure I know why it says to take the fish oil with your meals. I didn't get really nausious but it wasn't real easy on my stomach either. I usually don't take that stuff with my meals, but pretty close. Today was on an empty stomach.

Yep, I wasn't counting on it bothering me that bad either. Oh well, lesson learned. I made sure I took all my vitamins and medicine shortly after I ate today.I ate late today, normally I eat with in an hour of waking. But I got dressed and went to town instead. On the way there I dropped off a new shift schedule to a friend that works at one of our other power plants. Appearantly he had a heart attack a few days ago and was just getting back home. The scary thing is he's only a year older than me and this is his second one. He had quit taking his blood thinning medicines and it caught up with him. He said the first time he had a heart attack they put in a couple of stints, this time around he just needed some ballooning of the arteries to break up the clots near his heart. I guess that's what they do. Anyway, he said he was back on just a few medicines baby asperin, plaxel and something else along with fish oil tablets. I'm going to keep taking mine So after spending nearly three hours shooting the breeze with him I went to town and got the stuff I wanted. On the way home some women had a flat tire and nobody was stopping to help, so I did. I got the tire changed and got back home to finally eat. I think not eating really took it's toll on me cause it sure seemed like my right leg (the one I was kneeling on) got aweful weak when I stood up from changing the tire. You know, I'm sure there is a few parragraphs up there, but I'm going to leave it ![]() So far today I've had 5 hamburger patties with mustard and probably five ounces of cheese. I have had at least 1.5 liters of water and am now drinking coffee. I'll have some scrambled eggs with cheese on top later when I feel like eating more and maybe a salad. Ohh and I slept REALLY good today, i didn't wake up until around 1pm ![]() |

That is just too scary about the heart attack and him being only a year younger than you. Lisa was telling me about a friend of hers who is something like 6 years younger than her who had a heart attack and a stroke. The woman is in her 30's!
Makes you wanna keep going, doesn't it? Have a good night, Bobby. d |

Breakfast: four scrambled eggs with grated cheese on top, 5 pieces of bacon (not cooked as much I normally like so I just ate the meaty parts) and coffee
Lunch: four egg salad with cheese mixed in Later for supper I'll eat five hamburger patties with mustard My right F U finger has been swollen and tender this past couple of days, today it looks like it has a little infection going on. I have an ingrown fingernail. I was hoping it would clear up by now but I may have the Dr look at it in a couple of days if it doesn't clear up. Other than that, I'm at work tonight. |
