Don't ya just love working nights.

Why did you say you'll "do better tomorrow", I thought everything looked pretty good, not that I am an expert or anything.
The breakfast was eaten about noon yesterday, after I woke up. The reason it's not too good, is I'm 1,000 calories shy of where I should be, but I don't want to eat anymore.

Hey, is it possible to replace the leg workout with the above workout on occasion. What I mean is, since they both work the legs pretty intensely, why not do this workout and alternate with a leg workout on another day?

Ahhhhh, to be a man and to get away with eating mucho grande calories. I guess I'll just have to be envious, I suppose.
Yeah, it's fun to play with the toys

I don't want to replace the leg workout with the stones cause I really benefit from the squats and RDL's.

There's a down side, ie: what I posted above about not wanting to eat.

I can understand that. It's like the last several days of my life. Eating more just wasn't going to happen.

It's not really REPLACING the squats and dead lifts, it's just doing a different type of exercise for that body part on another day. It's kind of like body sculpting. When you work your back, for instance . . . you work your back one way on Monday and then on Thursday or Friday you work it again, but with different exercises so you can sculpt it. Your back is still getting the exercise, but just hitting it in a different way.

Just a thought . . .

Maybe later, right now I feel like my legs and especially my posterior chain have been neglected too long. They need to be built back to a decent strength if I want to get good on alot of other things besides stones. Like tire flipping, yoke and farmers. If I can build my strength up in the posterior chain I should get faster at those as well.

Well, all I did today was an ab workout. 25, 15, 10 incline sit ups and some cble crunches.

Foodwise, I had my normal breakfast, scrambled eggs and bacon. Ate some almonds for a snack. I stopped by the store on my way to work and bought some Johnsonville sausages, their new. One package is the jalapino and cheese flavored and the other is chilli cheese flavored. Less than one sugar carb per link. Those and maybe some greenbeans and cheese aught to be good for the rest of the night.

The chilli cheese ones are kind of salty for my taste. Not bad, they taste good, just a little salty.

Yeah, I find that they are all pretty salty for my taste, but sometimes I just gotta have something in the style of "fun" and these fit the bill.

115x6 Try a plate next time.

RDL
225x6

Calves

Abs

Good night, I'm getting happier with my squats. Concentrated on form the whole time.

A couple of pounds creeped back on, I'm sure it's water weight from the brats. They were just too much salt I guess. I imagine they'll fall off again in a couple of days if I keep my water up.

Yeah, those brats do that to me, as well. I wonder why they have to make them so salty?

Hey D and Jennifer

Pressing

Incline Bench Press
60x12
110x10
160x6
180x3
200x1
Work Sets
200x4
200x4
200x4 tried a little closer grip on this one, right shoulder was feeling a little weak.

10" Log clean and Press each rep (no belt)
150x3
170x3
190x3

Tricep Extension MDS
30x1 set
30x1 set
30x8-6-2 Stay until I can get all reps, glad I started with 30's

DB Side Lateral Raise
2 sets of 8 with 30's

DB Shrugs 2 sets of 8 with 80's

Cable Tricep Pressdowns
90x8
90x8

Triceps and shoulders feel a little beat up. Mostly from the incline BP, and MDS I think. But it should help condition them, so I'll stick with this plan for a little while.

Have you ever considered doing tri's and chest on different days? I know when I did them on the same day, my tri's would get so fried. If I did chest first, my tricep workout suffered. If I did tri's first, my bench would suffer. Maybe you could do chest and bi's on one day and back and tri's on another.

Also, I remember from my lifting days that people were always burning out and sometimes blowing out their shoulders because they were doing delt's on chest day. Too much stress on them. Have you considered doing delts on Leg day?

Just some suggestions to help your bod stay at it's peak performance level.

Thanks D, those are all valid points. But I'm using the tricep and shoulder work as accessory work to benefit my overhead press. I came to realize that I don't need to worry about bench pressing, all my pressing should be concentrated on overhead or incline pressing to help the overhead pressing. I'm not going to do any power lifting and strongman only does overhead pressing movements. I do want a good looking chest eventually so I'll do flat or slightly inclined bench press, but that won't be much until after I get my log press over 250. And even then I may wait until my axle is up about 250 too.

ETA: In the mean time, maybe I'll have good looking shoulders and triceps

Started in on the back workout, but I feel pretty beat up and everything felt heavier than it probably should. I'll wait until Friday. That and I have to remember to eat carbs before Deadlift and Squat days.

I went in to see the doctor this morning. I weighed 325 on their scales, not too bad for having had coffee and clothes on

Oh, this is what I did...

Dead lifts
warm up
135x12
135x10
225x6
315x3
405x1 felt heavy
Worksets
315x6
335x1 bleh

Figured I'd do bentover rows and they even felt heavy, 225x3.

I think I'll just take a nap.
