Its Not A Problem! :)

I've been hungry tonight. Like I said earlier, grits and eggs for breakfast, then 2 hamburger patties topped with mustard, a couple of hours later two more burgers and mustard and then three hours later one burger w/mustard and a can of spinache. I don't have anymore food with me so I'll have to wait until I get home and maybe make some eggs. I'm not going to hit the vending machine or stop on the way home. I just realized I didn't bring any cheese with me, usually I eat 8 ounce of pepperjack with my meals. I guess that's a good thing, normally if I'm eating the cheese I don't eat my veggies. Took my vitamins and have been drinking plenty of water, 102 ounces so far. I better stop drinking so much so I can get some sleep today.

i know when I get hungry like that it usually means that I'll be dropping weight soon. The worst it was for me was when I was famished for a month! I stuck it out and was rewarded for my pains . . .
So, you're gonna go to the contest, then? |

I hope you're right D, I can sure stand some weight loss. I was thinking it may be because I've eaten very little fat. At least not as much as I normally do. I came home and had a couple of handfuls of almonds and am drinking another 1/2 litre of water.
Yeah, I think I'll do the contest. It kind of depends if I work overtime Thursday night and how hard I have to work doing that. If it's one position no problem, if it's the outside position I'm not so sure I want to. That's the position I've done each of the last two weeks with all the extra stairs. I really don't want to do that many stairs and have a sore knee again. (mostly it's the bottom of my quad, just above the knee) We'll see, I may not even get asked tonight. It's hard to pass up the overtime, especially now that more of the guys are working it, so less of it is offered to me. |

Grrr my daughters woke me up after 4 hours sleep playfully arguing loudly. It wasn't that great of sleep but it would have been nice to get one more hour. I really should beat them

I should have brought some protein shakes with me to work. My elbows are sore from climbing up the side of a really tall tank ladder. End of whining session.

Took some ibuprfen, my vitamins and drank about 60 ounces of water so far. Coffee is keeping me going so far.
Menu Grits and eggs again today Ham steak with some bbq sauce Ham steak with bbq sauce again What's left of the hamsteak and spinache Figured I might want to up the carbs a little. I'm not working Thursday night. I have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday night off and am going in late on Saturday night and only working eight hours. That will burn up all but the last 4 hours of my vacation. So the plan is to go to the comp in Salina if I have a couple of good days lifting tomorrow and Thursday. I need to see if I can still pick up the 240 farmers implements and 550yoke, not much point in going if I can't. Oh and she said she would go with me, as long as I don't goof off afterwards My eldest turns 21 tomorrow and I can tell Lorraine wants to be around all this weekend.Last edited by Bobby; 06-03-2009 at 01:55 AM.. |

I didn't eat the spinach last night, I had ham and eggs with a side of grits this morning when I got home.
I've had 3 ounces of cheese so far today and 1/2 a liter of water since waking up. I'm making breakfast burritos with sausage and eggs tonight and then I'll do some lifting. I'm not going to take my effexor again after tonight. I'll start taking it again on Saturday night but I want to go a couple of days off of it. Last edited by Bobby; 06-03-2009 at 03:48 PM.. |

Well it's not too hard when the bottled water comes in half liter bottles
Are you off tomorrow then?I haven't lifted yet, I've been kind of tired. I didn't get much sleep today or yesterday. Then I went to sleep for about an hour and a half just a little bit ago. I'll see how I feel about lifting later if I stay up and eat some proteins. |

Bobby, Just curious. I don't have the rope. Why do you like the strap over the rope? Is it more comfortable? Can you do other stuff with it?

Hey Rich, yes it's a lot more comfortable. I like doing cable crunches and tricep press downs with it. Putting my hand in the loops verses holding the rope is more comfortable to me as it's padded and pretty much takes the grip out of the equation. I figure dead lifts, barbell rows and curls are plenty for grip work.

I way over did it esterday on the carbs, I had two peices of ice cream cake and potato salad with pulled pork for dinner. A lot more potato salad than I should have.
I still haven't lifted anything, after eating the cake and taking the girls shopping yesterday all I wanted to do was sleep. |

Yep, I sure did Rich.
I have the alarm clock set for 5:45. I slept for an hour and woke up, I need to go back to sleep. BTW the movie "He's not that into you" is pretty darn good for a chick flick. It was like watching a train wreck most of the time. |

I over slept a little and woke up at 6:20am. On the way there I recognized some of the guys on the side of the rode with a blown out tire, I went back to see if they needed help. They wanted to uise my tire wrench as there wasn't one in their car. We got the tire changed and I followed them for a few miles but they were going too slow so I offered to take the three of them to the contest and back to their car so they could make it on time. We all went about 10 miles further in my car and I had a blow out on the same side of my car. We changed my tire and made it to the contest on time, just barely.
The contest was fun. This is what I did... Max Axle Press, I got a 220 axle and tied for second, should have tried 230 like Dave did, but I really wanted a 240 contest axle, oh well maybe next time. 565 Yoke in 17something seconds, it was a shorter distance than we usually do but I have to say it was my best contest yoke for sure, second place. Farmers/Power Stairs Medley, well I really need to work on the farmer's carry, didn't get to the power stairs and just edged out Lance on distance for third place. Stone load, got the first three stones. I really need to think about when I should be putting on tacky when it's so hot outside. Not that it would have made that much of a difference in the amount of stones loaded, but it would have made the ones I did load go easier I think. Third place. Temps got up to 99 degrees F, 37.222222 degrees celsius. |

I planned on getting home in time to get a couple of hours nap before going into work at 10pm But getting a new tire set me back time wise and I rescheduled to come in at 2am. When I tried to get my nap in I started cramping up like crazy. My nap ended up being more like an hour to an hour and a half. Now I'm torn between drinking gatoraide and coffee.

It was Rich, and at the same time a lot of fun. Thanks.
Another thing I wanted to post on my journal, I weighed 358 on my iffy scales this morning before going to the contest. I say iffy because I think I may have buggered them up last weekend while trying to weigh my atlas stones. Anyway, going to get back on the wagon tomorrow and see how long I can go cheat free. I also want to start walking a couple of times a week to help speed up the weight loss. I might even lift weights a few times a week, we'll see. Last edited by Bobby; 06-07-2009 at 04:14 AM.. |

Hey Bobby. Glad to see you're back on track. Something caused my PSA to jump way up and I spent a couple of months thinking I had cancer. No more testosterone supplements for me (they weren't helping anyway). I don't know if I just had bad lab results or what, but PSA dropped back down when I retested a couple months later. So I'm back on plan starting a week ago.

Here ya go
![]() The 220 pound axle press, it's either that or the 200 I'm not sure. That's about how high I got the 240 but couldn't finish the press, I know it's one of the ones I finished because the judge's hand is down. Second event was the super yoke, 565 pounds for about 50 ft. Placed second on this one, it was my best event that day and the best I ever did with a yoke speed wise. 17 seconds. 240 farmers/power stair medley, I never got to the power stairs, as you can see my left hand wasn't doing a very good job of holding the 240 pound farmer's implement. After about the second time picking it back up my left hip and hand was getting tired. Something else to work on. Loading stones, I think Lance, the fella behind me in the red cap was laughing because I was having a stupidly hard time loading the stones. My tacky got hot (it was soft and slippery instead of stiff and sticky) and it made the stones hard to grip, I'd have been better off without it I think. I was starting to get a little frustrated with the stones right from the first one. I only loaded the first three. Last edited by Bobby; 06-08-2009 at 04:12 AM.. |
