Is it possible?

I'm wondering if it is possible to drop this weight... I have made many attempts - the last most successful was last summer... the crazy, unpopular diet - Kimkins.... and it was my first experience w/low carb....I definitely lost lean muscle mass and proceeded to gain back all the 30ish lbs. that I lost.... between that and celebrating my 45 birthday my shape has definitely changed... Anyway, I always was an athletic girl - taught aerobics for atleast 10 years - (mid 20s - to late 30's) and then remarried and had 2 more children (3 total) and am now 80lbs heavier than I was when I remarried... (yikes - that is the first time I have typed that, let alone truly have the impact hit my brain!!!)

So - today is the first day of the rest of my life! I know, sounds silly, contrite, but I gotta move this body and try and get some resembalance of the girl/woman back who is still in my head (and the only pictures that are displayed - of course I avoid the camera like crazy! which really pisses me off - I'm erasing my image - I need to realize how important I am to me - I need to be my own best friend and take care of myself....)

Well, I'm off into the shower - will weigh and post for accountability shortly

Exercise today

Turbo Sculpt
1 mile on Treadmill - interval training - 12 minutes
urban rebounder 3.30 minutes

Have a great day!

Kim

2nd Day of of climbing the hill...

Sheryl - takes for responding to my journal... I just gotta start somewhere...

Weighed myself yesterday after working out... 222.5 not my ALL Time highest - but a close 2nd... I can't believe that number - I am trying to be real here and not hide - so, there it is...

I'm 5'5" tall and can wear a size 16 in most pants - although those are dress/work pants and it seems (not that I find it a problem right now, at this weight) have quite a bit of stretch to them - so maybe I am even bigger than a 16...I'm feeling disgusted with myself and on top of that I've got a bad case of poison ivy on my body (forearms, stomach and lower body) I'm on the 3rd day of the predisone so I am feeling some relief from the itchys but there are some pretty serious scratches/abrasions that are really ugly...

My focus will be to exercise daily - everyday - I am going to try and not even miss one day for atleast 2 weeks and then I will take one day off as a rest day. My food is going to be healthy choices - on the low carb side - and try and avoid any carbs (except for veggie carbs) after 1:00pm - stop eating by 7:30pm and drink lots of water - I'm going to do this for 1 month and see where I am at - I'm sure that I will be tweeking things along the way but this will provide me w/my outline....

This morning my exercise was:

1 hour of 10 in 10 Callanetics (I've put in about 7 hours total on this program and I am VERY Bored! It does feel like a good workout but I can't imagine doing hours and hours of this... I'm wondering about Super Callanetics but don't want to move on until I have mastered these moves... I'm bored w/the video itself but some of the exercises are really quite hard for me to do...)

Then 1.25mi on the Treadmill - intermittent running/walking

I'll come back and put in my weight...

Have a great day!

Work on your strength. Lean muscle is active tissue, and will burn calories, and if you hurt your body with starvation dieting, you NEED to rebuild!

Good Start

Good start this morning... did Ab Jam (not quite the whole thing - kids kept coming in the room before heading off to childcare....) Felt pretty good though... I liked the work out - it is the first time that I tried or even viewed this Cardio Mix #1 - not too difficult choreography wise - so I can tell I will be able to get a great work out in at the next visit to Turbo Jam - (god, she has a killer body, huh? Chalene....)

So, yesterday I was going to post my weight - and I got on the scale b/4 the shower and was up a pound... so my all time highest EVER! Yikes.... I'm not going to let them upset me though... I'm also on the predisone for this godawful poison ivy - so that might??? make a bit of a difference????

Anyway - I really love to work out... I really do - I don't know why I do not make the time for it - that has GOT TO STOP! I just did 10 X 3 sets up 'girl' push ups w/only a 15 sec. rest in between - god, push ups are hard! I know that you get strong quickly w/them so - I'm gonna keep doing them... once I can do 5 sets of 15 w/15 sec. rests - I'll try and move onto regular 'full fledged' pushups...

So - there is another goal/target...
Continue making good choices w/food on low carb side
Work out everyday for 2 weeks then take one day off per week (maybe, maybe not...)
Push ups - everyother day continue to increase...

BTW - thanks for the info about rebuilding my body I really need too...

Sorry - last note - I never had a stomach before (but, gosh - I never weighed this much before either....) but my stomach is out of control... It is getting in my way - must go!!!

Ciao!

Kim
