That is not long and not long enough to lose 20lbs (more would be better).
I was going to do the OBX Diet. But I think I will get faster results with meat and egg.
I can do it for 24 days right....and then I will follow the OBX Diet while I am there. I love it but I think meat and eggs will give me even faster results.

And if I do the 10 on 10 callanetics...that would help too..if I did it every other day I would be able to get in 12 days which would give me visible results..??

What do you girls think?

I would probably go with the M/E for quicker results.......and I don't think I would try to follow a new diet while on vacation.....it's too stressful - vacations should be all about relaxing .....I would just try to watch what you eat while you're gone and start OBX when you get back...JMHO...

I love 10 in 10....although, I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't done it in a LONNNNNNNG time.....

Honey, even if you don't lose 20 lbs before you leave for the beach, put your bathing suit on and go and have a great time! You want to be able to play with your kids in the water and build sandcastles and all that stuff....and they don't care, they love you no matter what size you are.....they just want to have fun with their mommy .....and as for the other people on the beach, pfffttt, who cares? They don't know you and you're never going to see them again!

I actually put on my bathing suit and went to the pool with Sami on Sunday....I had not been to the pool in ages.....but you know what? She asked me to go with her and I thought, "Ya know, my daughter wants to spend time with me and I'm not going to tell her 'no' just because I'm afraid of what I look like in a bathing suit!" And when I got to the pool, there were women there that were a LOT bigger than me and nobody batted an eye!

I wish they showed "real" people in bathing suits. All the models are always perfectly toned and thin, that's what makes it so difficult to buy a suit online. It looks great in the picture and then when you get it and try it on, they have all the extra bumps and rolls that were not in the picture. I know they didn't charge me extra for them, so why don't I look like the hottie in the pic?

How far away from home will he be?

I like Atkins and all, but it isn't working for me at the moment.

I think I can handle the teeny tiny piece of cake than none at all. Having it won't kill the effort from the whole week. JMHO

Budget is a bit tight to join WW online or go to meetings, but I am gathering info from the Net.

Got the Dottie site and Hungry Girl so I'll use that in the meantime. Plus if Heidi and Kimmer are doing it too, I can ask for help.

I absolutely love the Dottie site. she has everything that you need there. And if you don't know something, there are plenty of people that do on that site!

I wouldn't spend your money unless you need the meetings. I joined, but I haven't been to a meeting since. Because everything is free on the net.

Joe will be living an hour away. I am 100% supportive - he needs to move out and learn to be independant. I over-mother my sons, and it aint a good thing.

I am pretty sure my 21 year old is too comfortable at home...he may never leave. He is the biggest advocate in encouraging his younger brother to go away to school.

Just ask! If I don't know the answer, I'll search till I find it! I'm with you....I always feel like I'm depriving myself on Atkins and that depresses me.....I'd rather be able to have that teeny tiny piece of cake, too....
