I've decided to just weigh in every month instead of every week. So my next weigh in will be Nov 15. Shooting for 226.

I may have this figured out, but won't know for a few more weeks.

Stopped the colloidal silver, 7-keto, and pregnenolone a little over a week ago. Since then I have lost 5 of the 6 lbs I had regained. So I didn't reach my goal of 226, but am back to 230. Have also gone a week with no cravings and my prostate hasn't given me any serious problem, so I am optimistic.

Listened to a seminar on prostate cancer and bph. Have ordered several additional supplements that are supposed to either prevent prostate cancer and in some cases, even kill the cancer cells. I was already taking about half of them, but adding the new ones can't hurt.

Next weigh in is Dec 15. Shooting for 225.

Thanks Nan. The Leptin RX has morphed into the Epi-Paleo diet. Lots of fish and seafood for DHA and iodine.

Major change about a week ago. Even with stopping the colloidal silver, I was still having cravings and gaining weight. Got all the way back up to 240. About a week ago I changed from bacon and egg breakfasts to protein shakes with hemp protein added. So far this seems to be working.

Since the end of summer, my body has been not working right. Cravings, weight gain, hormone levels dropping, blood pressure going up, etc. So that's why the big change.

To address BP increase, I researched supplements to lower BP. I was already taking most of them, but needed to increase dosage of a few. Am tracking BP at 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm, and 8 pm. So far, I am seeing the biggest jump in bp between 8 am and 12 pm.

Also added several supplements for BPH and prevention of prostate cancer. Too early to tell how much this is helping.

Am actually up 3 lbs since mid November, but down 7 from the 240, so it's good and bad. Unlikely I can make goal by Jan 15, but will see how close I can get.

Current weight 233.

One month from last post and weight is the same. It did go up and down a little, but stayed right around 233. Bought a new scale that says 235, so I will use that as my current weight.

Had good dr apt yesterday. For high estrodial, started progestone and will be starting anastrazole. I have only used progesterone twice so far, and I think it may be stopping my headaches. I'm hoping that if I can get estrodial down, the other steroid hormones should go up.

After I have had a chance to see what effect anastrozole is having, I will start cytomel to reduce rt3. If both of these work, I should see weight loss start up again and energy really improve.

Started protocol for prostate a month ago. I don't know if things are getting better, but they certainly are not getting worse. Asked doc about a prostate test and she agreed to order the kit and I will get tested sometime later this month.

Eating on plan is my normal way of eating, so no problem there. Everything is going well except supplements weren't enough to fix estrodial or rt3 problems.

Weight is still jumping around. It has been slowly creeping up and then dropped 4 lbs in 1 day.

Just started arimidex to try to lower estrodial. I'm a little scared of this medication but nothing else has worked. Still researching to see what other men are taking and how long it is needed.

Also started cytomel to try to lower reverse t3. Idea is to trick thyroid into stopping production of t4 so that rt3 will go down. From what I have read, this usually takes 8-12 weeks if it works.

Started a walking challenge Jan 1 - 100 miles in 100 days. So far I am averaging about 10 miles a week, so I have a little cushion if I need it.

Decided to eat a slightly smaller breakfast. So far, no hunger problem.

Rich, good luck with the meds. It is hard to focus on losing when your levels are not right. I take cytomel twice daily for thyroid. I have taken it for years and it does help me a lot.

Good job on the walking and cutting back on the breakfast. As long as you are not hungry you probably don't need the extra.

Thanks for encouragement. I decided to stop the cytomel. It was messing with my brain big time.

Finally, after several months, I lost weight. Only 3 lbs over the month, but it has been a long time since I saw a monthly loss, so I'm happy.

I changed from taking 1/2 anastrozole twice a week to 1/4 4 times a week. My eyes still hurt, my hip still hurts, and my motivation is still lacking, but not quite as bad as on the 1/2. I've decided to move my labs up and get tested near the end of this month. I want off this medication ASAP. If I can get estrodial below 30, I will go back to supplements to try to maintain.

Haven't been walking much since starting the medication. In last 3 weeks, I have only walked 3 miles. I had been enjoying my walks and now find them painful.

Did make it through the entire night with no bathroom trips. I can't remember the last time that happened.

Started T3 and quit after a week. It messed with my sleep real bad and I felt like a zombie. Took a couple of weeks before I started feeling OK.

Gained some weight but back on track.

Did a low calorie/low carb diet for a week and lost 10 lbs. Then tried a water only fast but only lasted 3 days. Felt like a zombie. Good news is I am at my lowest in many years and approaching goal weight.

Goal (finally). 100 lbs in 11 years. The good news is my way of eating is firmly established now, so I think I will be able to maintain or even lose a little more without any problems.

For the last month I did a 3 day water fast, and the rest of the time cut calories and carbs way down to try to get fbg into the 70's. FBG got as low as 73 and as high as 95, with most readings in the 80's. This resulted in a 15 lb loss in 4 weeks. By far the biggest monthly loss I have had since starting (or restarting).

At the same time as the weight loss started a month ago, my bp dropped significantly. I have only taken my bp medication 3 times in the last month, and that has been a half a pill when systolic got above 130. Haven't needed any for the last week.

Something is causing huge inflammation. Ended up with urinary blockage that required a catheter. I'm hoping I correctly identified the culprit as benedryl. Not supposed to take it if you (male) has bhp. Double check your doctor. They make a fair amount of mistakes. Mine said it was OK to take.

Lost about 4 lbs last week, but don't know how much was related to catheter. Should know in a few days if this was a permanent loss. I think most of it is since I am not hungry and eating less than 1000 calories/day.
