What a Day !

I had a very busy day, but thank God for strength. The boys have football practice every evening from 6-8 pm. DH wasn't working nights when we made the decision to sign them up, but then a night contract came along and we need the income, so it's me and the boys . It's ok though. I'm so grateful for low carbing, as I know I wouldn't be able to keep up like I do if I was eating like I was before. By 3 pm, all I could think about was making it home to take a nap.

Good News: I hooked up with one of the mom's from the team and we walk/jog together. She jogs non-stop, but I'm getting there. She starts us off with a warm-up routine that surely sets the pace. I'm so grateful for her, and I know before long......I'll be jogging right beside her.

I found this article and thought you might be interested in reading it to. Its abour finding our devine purpose in our life. We know God created us for a reason and not just to stick us here to live a dull and uninspiring life. But its up to each of us to find that purpose in our life. '
Sometimes I feel like I have not yet found mine, how about you?
__________________________________________________
"Finding Your Devine Purpose In Life"

At one time or another you've probably asked yourself, "What is the purpose of my life? What is its meaning? Why am I here on Earth, and what am I supposed to be doing?" Chances are, you work hard, whether you take care of a household or have a job outside of the home. Your days are filled with seemingly endless chores and tasks like getting the oil changed in your car and going to the grocery store. Perhaps sometimes, when you get tired or stressed out, life can seem like just one long and meaningless "to do" list with a bland retirement and a gold-plated watch at the end of it.

You may have a sense that given the right circumstances, you could do much more than you are doing now. Perhaps you long to make a real difference in the world, to assign meaning to your life, and to listen to the yearnings of your very soul.

All of the great and wise people who ever made a difference on planet Earth heard their souls' yearnings and chose a purpose for their lives. People such as Gandhi, Mother Teresa, and Nelson Mandela seem to have been driven by a self-defined purpose that they chose for themselves. Now, we often think of such people with a sense of awe and respect as if they were somehow different from us -- better, smarter, more saintly, or more courageous. Sometimes they hardly seem human. But the truth is that the only real difference between you and those people is that they all seemed to have a clearly defined life purpose that they selected for themselves and then embraced with steadiest dedication and unshakeable determination.

You have that very same opportunity as well. Every single one of us has some special gift, some special interest, some special talent, some special way of impacting this world, so that it becomes a better place for everyone. You have the potential to live at the level of Gandhi or Mother Teresa. The question you must ask yourself is, "Am I willing to define, embrace, and hold fast to my divine purpose, prayerfully, persistently, and patiently?" If the answer is yes, then the impossible truly can become possible in your life.

Now, finding and following your divine purpose is different from setting your goals. A goal is a tangible desire with an end result, but your divine purpose is really a way of living. For example, a goal might be to learn to paint with watercolors, but your divine purpose might be to bring joy to peoples' lives through your art. Another goal might be to get a PhD, but the divine purpose would be to live in the world of the intellect, the world of ideas. Your goals have finite deadlines, but your divine purpose is something that you will be working with and growing with for the rest of your life.

Firat you need to look out upon the world (understanding that we all look out through our own consciousness to see different worlds) and notice all the things that need healing, or fixing, or transforming.

The task is that after looking carefully at the world, we must pick out one thing that we feel needs transforming, something that would be fun for us to get involved in repairing, shifting, restructuring, fixing, and perfecting. This is not about martyrdom or great personal sacrifice. It is about focus, joy, and a sense of purposeful possible achievement.

Next, we must take a bold step and make a 100 percent commitment to "fixing" the problem we have identified, followed by devoting our energies, time, talents, skills, and money to transforming that one piece of the earthly puzzle. Even as you're working toward solving the problem, keep in mind that what is really important is not whether the problem ever gets solved; it's that you are working toward the solution with dedication and persistence.

We are children of God. But children eventually grow up. And the evolving and advancing you will do when you begin to live according to your divine purpose is part of that growing up.

When you choose your divine purpose, you are framing your life with meaning. You are also taking an important step in your spiritual development: to demonstrate to yourself that you are a divine being and to prove to yourself that you have the power to affect change -- that you are bigger, stronger, more powerful, and more creative than you thought.

It was Emerson who said, "Oh Man! There is no planet, sun or star could hold you, if you but knew what you are." (Now, I know what he meant to say was, "Oh Woman! There is no planet . . .") There is nothing in the universe that could hold us, if only we knew our true power.

I liked it to. I wish I could find what my devine purpose in life is. Sometimes I lay in bed at night and wonder why God allowed me to be born, for what purpose!
I guess its up to us to find that purpose and we probably would find if if we would be still and listen to Gods direction for our life.
I try to do just that but still I feel like I have not accompolished much in my life. I am not rich or famous, not noted in the world, all I ever was was a wife, mother, a friend and a God loving person.
I feel no calling in my life other than what I have already done, and that seems like I have not accompolished much at all.
Maybe I will never be anyone famous or even remembered after I am gone, thats not even important to me anyway, all I want people to remember about me is how I loved the Lord and served HIm.

How do you all feel about your devine purpose in your life? Have you found it yet?

Mary God uses us in mysterious ways. Trust me, you have a purpose and I trust that it is being fulfilled. You are an encourager on these boards, and I'm quite sure you are the same every where you go. That in itself is ministry. Let God and Let God do what he wants to do through you and in you .

I believe my purpose is to Love, Let me light shine, and speak what God would have me to speak. God uses me in many ways, and I don't question it, I just do it.

I just love God so much that I want to please Him and do His will thats all.
I do love ministering here on the board to all of you here.
I just don't want to ever offend any one with my belief in God if they do not believe the same way as I do. I care alot about people and I could not stand it if I ever hurt anyones feelings.

God is my strength and I do try to let others see it in all I do and say.

We are going over to some of friends home tonight for alittle gathering and cook out and I am going to this afternoon make up a big fruit platter to take. I have apples, oranges, tangerines, banana's, strawberries, kiwi fruit, and some papaya to , so I think it will make a pretty fruit tray up.

Not much else going on with me today, been washing up some clothes but thats all.
See ya later.

You all have a great week-end and God Bless.

"Resident Shopper"

Ok, so I haven't been living up to my name lately . I've been staying away from the stores. I went to drop off some clothing I had for the Thrift Store, and decided to pop-in and see what they had. I got the cutest Bermuda shorts for $1.99. They are plaid with dark purples and different color pinks. I just saw a nice polo top in Target to match exactly with them. They are a size 12, so I'm praying that they will fit before our trip the end of this month. I'm going to wash them and let them hang dry, press them bad boys and be on my way. I even got a pair of Old Navy Yoga pants for $1.99.

Exercise

I completed 4 laps today, not much but I did something while the kids were in Football Camp. I'm still a bit tired, but I wanted to stop in and see what was going on. The boys are still napping, and I'm going back to join them .

I plan to cook up a few items and bag up some salad for the upcoming week, preparation is "key".

Thanks Meek. I'm so excited, cause I was so much bigger when we all met up last year for DH's grandma's B-day.

Just the feeling of not being so heavy and able to relax is a blessing. I'm dressing down, flip flops and shorts, you know me.

I will make sure to take pics and share.

Its been raining here all day so we did not go anywhere, usually Saturdays are my hubbys and I day out since he deosn't have to work that day. Sundays are really busy for us with church and all.

I love going to thrift shops, mu hyubby and I visit them often. I found two Gloria Vanderbelt knit tees and also a pair of Denim & Co. jeans just in my size to a few weeks back.
