Today is day two on my return to the lowcarb lifestyle. So far my menu is as follows:

B- 2 eggs over medium, 3 pieces of bacon
S- 1 string cheese, salami, pepperoni
L- Pork tenderloin, squash, both grilled
D- I haven't planned that far ahead.

I didn't weigh in today.. we will see if I can go a whole week before I do.
That will be a feat!!

I am kinda feeling "off" today. I slept horribly. Today I am achy. Tomorrow has to be better!

Day 3

Yesterday I went to Vitamin World after I got off work. I wanted to buy some coconut oil because I want to start doing the oil pulling. Well, I decided to look around for a while. Right before checking out, I saw a table with books on clearance. Well, low and behold there lay the New Diet Revolution book on clearance for $2.27. I used to have the older book but gave it away a long time ago. I thought is this coincidence or a hint from above that yeah, I need to go back to this way of eating. Needless to say I purchased it. I started with the oil pulling as soon as I got home. Only did it for 10 minutes. My plan is to do it while in the shower every morning. I tried doing this about a year ago with the sesame oil but I couldn't stomache the taste. CCO is much better, but I still get the dry heaves after spitting it out. I think it is a mental thing and hopefully I will get over that quickly. Then I went to Lane Bryant to get an outfit for Sunday. We are going to go to Knott's Berry Farm and I need something comfy to wear. What an eye opener that was!! I really really have gained so much weight! I have never been this big before. I had to buy a size 24. Made me very frustrated. No wonder all my pants are fitting horribly. They are size 20. Which I swore I would never go past that in size. I have a tendency to keep raising the bar of "I will never get past that size/weight." I remember when that bar was set at 200. Now here I am at 258.8. How did that happen??? I had a little burst of energy last night. Stayed up until about almost 12pm. Wow.. Usually fall asleep before 10. I am looking forward to the energetic feeling I get while low carbing...

Day 4

I really, really wanted to step on the scale this morning. I refrained. I don't want to get dissappointed if there is no loss yet. I did the oil pulling again this morning while in the shower. When I spit it out, I didn't gag like yesterday. I am really glad about that. Yesterday's menu went as follows:

B-2 eggs, 3 bacon
S-string cheese
L-Carl's Jr. Low carb 6 dollar burger
D-3 pieces grilled chicken, small salad, 1 serving broccoli/cauliflower mix (this was all from El Pollo Loco)
I worked late and when I got home there was pizza. I didn't eat any but when I put it away, I did eat a couple sausages and pepperoni that was on the box.

Today I made the 1 minute muffing. I sliced it into 3 slices. So far this morning this is what I have eaten:

B-1/3 1 min muffing
2 eggs
3 bacon

Day 5

Boy was I in a mood last night! I don't know what my problem was but after I ate it went away. I didn't cheat .. Full day of yesterday's menu:

B- 2 eggs, 3 bacon
S- string cheese
L- double whopper, no bun
D-Hamburger, no bun (they did put a little ketsup )
I also have 4 pieces of shashimi

I still haven't weighed myself. I hope on Monday morning I show a loss. I did the OP this morning too. I woke up and had a sore on the side of my tongue. After oil pulling it is gone!! amazing. I do think I am going to get some sunflower oil and try OP with that next week. I find that I am sleeping better now. I also don't go to bed as early. I don't find the need to crash after my normal high carb dinners.. yeah!!

Well, after I got home from work I got on the scale.. I just wanted to KNOW! So far I am down 6 pounds exactly.. woo hoo!
So far today this is what I have eaten:

B- 2 eggs, 2 bacon
S-2/3 of a 1 min muffin w/ cream cheese and a cheese stick
L-Double Whopper w/ cheese, no bun or ketsup
D-??

Day 6

Day 6... I oil pulled this morning again. I have always had these blackheads on the sides of my nose. Always... Well they seem to be clearing up. I don't know if it is Atkins or the OP that is helping. I just hope that whatever it is, it helps them go away for good!! I weighed myself again this morning. I am at 252 even. 6.8 pounds in 6 days. I wish it woud always fall off that fast, but I know better. I guess weighing every day doesn't hurt my progress. I just don't want to hit a big stall and get dissappointed every day. Disappointment once a week would be bad enough.

Well, Monday will be 2 weeks in. As of this morning I weighed 250. This afternoon I stepped on the scale again and was at 248.2. I am sure it is because I haven't eaten much today. I just haven't been hungry. Now i am hungry but it is too close to supper time to eat. So, I will starve for another hour until I get my food. I feel good. No more falling asleep right after meals. I actually stay up later now. My legs don't hurt as much after standing on them. I haven't oil pulled in about 3 days. I need to in the morning. My measurements are as follows:

R arm bicep: 17
L arm bicep: 17
R tricep: 11 plus 3 lines
L tricep: 11 plus 3 lines
waist (right above belly button): 48
boobs:49 (with bra on)
under boob (with bra on) 43
butt: 53.5

Sunday 4/27/08

Well, tomorrow will be 2 weeks. Induction over. As of today I lost 10 pounds. Hopefully will not gain one back tomorrow. I haven't been much for climbing the carb ladder. I might just stay with induction a little while longer. Adding more is scary to me. I think I have been pretty good with this induction. No "cheating", but I didn't cut out caffiene. I have seriously cut back though. I have drank diet soda too, but mostly it is Shasta.. I love the diet grapefruit kind. It is flavored with Splenda too. Yeah! I will probably remeasure in a couple weeks and add my update.. As far as weighing in goes, I am a scale addict. I tried to quit cold turkey but the addiction got to me. I step on the scale all the time, sometime 2-3 times a day. Crazy I know!! I think one thing that will help is I never logged my measurements. At least I know by putting them on here they will not get lost and that will give me something to go on when the scale isn't moving.

Ok, so I gained 2 pounds back and am weighing in at 247.4 for the last couple days.
I have been reading on here about BMI, well, my BMI is 1872. My calories to maintain would be 2246. So I guess I should be eating less than that. I also put the food in fitday today that I ate and I am at 2007 mg of sodium.. YIKES!! guess I will have to be more concious of that..

Throughout the month of May I have felt like I haven't lost hardly anything. I kept on though. I just kept thinking, "why am I losing so slow"? Well, when I went to fitday and looked, I have actually lost 10 pounds this month! What is making me think I am not losing anything? Well, I am happy I have stuck with this WOE and will continue to do so. I hope to lose 10 more by July. That will put me at 232.2.. I am not so strick with counting carbs as I probably should be. But, so far it is working. I guess when I get to a place where I am really not losing, I will be more diligent. I also need to start working out. I can be so lazy in that aspect.

I am going to Arizona in July to meet up with my sister.. I want to be smaller by then.. Please, Please!! I think I wieghed 230 when I last saw her. Now I am at 242.2.. I don't think I will be able to lose 12 pounds by then but I hope I am at least 235..

I am not losing as quickly as I would like, but at least I am losing! I feel better. I haven't has any aspartame in about a month I think. I haven't cheated except for I had 2 jello shots a couple of weeks ago at a friend's bday party. As of today I have lost a total of 17.8 pounds. I am still waiting for the infamous whoosh fairy! I would definitely put some fat under my pillow tonight if I thought she would come and take it away for good! I am so glad it is the weekend!!!! I love fridays!

looks like I am going down slowly! I am glad that I decided to measure. I have done this woe many times in the past and I have never measured. I decided to do it this time to keep me from getting discouraged when the scale doesn't move. I still get antsy for the pounds to drop, but it is nice to see the inches decreasing in the mean time! I haven't even been tempted to go off plan this time. Yeah for me!

As of yesterday morning, I weighed in at 237.2..

I has been 8 days since my last update.. I am going to measure again. I also am at 235. So it looks like I have lost 2.2 pounds in eight days. I will take it! I am thankful for the fact that I am seeing progress. I know that if I would go back to my old WOE, I would be heavier. I just ate whatever I wanted. Whenever I wanted. In the past 2 months of LCing, I have kicked my sugar habit. This time around does seem different because I haven't had any tremendous cravings. Sure there are times when I look at ice cream and think that would taste great. Or a piece of milk chocolate would be wonderful, but that is as far as it goes. It is a fleeting thought. When the doughnuts are delivered on Fridays to my work, I make sure that the box isn't in my sight. But honestly I don't think I would eat one even if they were put on my desk. One thing that bugs me is that people who are your friend's are constantly trying to sabatoge you. I don't think that they think they are doing anything wrong. Like if everyone is having a beer, they try to get me to drink one. I know that a low carb drink wouldn't hurt. I just don't want to chance any cravings coming back. When I tell them I am doing low carb, they just are like, come on, just one won't hurt. I absolutly hate that. I am wondering if I should just tell them I am a recovering alcoholic. Maybe that would get better results.. But my close friends would know I am lying. It is just irritating. My birthday is coming up. At our office, they buy a cake for your birthday. I am really thinking of going and buying a low carb cheesecake and bringing it in in the morning. I will be mad if they get me a regular cake! Anyways, enough rambling. Let's get down to business. I thought I would take a moment and jot down the things I have noticed that have improved since I started this WOE.

1. My legs do not ache horribly after being on them for awhile
2. I don't fall asleep minutes after a carb laden meal.
3. Snoring has decreased... I asked my BF about that
4. My clothes are fitting better
5. I no longer am looking for my next carb fix (usually in the form of sugar)
6. I am drinking more water. And have almost completely given up soda
7. Aspartame is no longer part of my life.
8. I have always had muscle spasms while at rest.. my muscles "jerk". Well, they still do but it has decreased somewhat.
9. I sleep better

I have went away the last 2 weekends to AZ visiting family. I didn't cheat, but have managed to gain back 1 1/2 pounds. I think I need to drink more water. Plus, those weekends were spent eating out constantly. I have set a reward for when I hit 200 pounds. I am going to get the clip in hair extensions. I had a lady at one of the kiosks at the mall put them in my hair and they were very nice. I wasn't willing to spend that much money on them at the time. I went on ebay and found them for much less. But, I am going to make it my reward for when I hit 200. One thing I have realized lately is I have a ton of self control. I really feel my "power" as far as knowing I control what I do. I love it!!

Well, I haven't lost anything.. actually I went up a couple pounds, but today I am back down to 231.4 so only 1 more to go until I am back to my low point so far. I think I might be losing inches though. Here are my current measurements:

Neck- 14.75
boob 46
under boob 41
waist 43.75
butt 49
left thigh 26
right thigh 26.5
left calf 20 + 1 line
right calf 20
left bicep 15.75
right bicep 15
left tricep 11
right tricep 11

Now I will compare to previous measurings.

Well, looks like I didn't lose much inches eith
