Hey mel, i'm doing better; and it's too bad that u went off LC but look at it like this u hardly did'nt gain very much weight only a few pounds...u lose it in know time....just get back to ur low carb ways. I know it has only been a month since my surgery, but i still feel kind of weird in my hormones and energy level's....i feel tired some times quite often, because i have a physical job and stand up all day; but i'm getting a lil better day by day...!

Hey, their Mel welcome back gurly....i am proud of you...see what happens when we go back to our roots!
Okay, so I've been in and out today, but here is my full menu for the day. B -- 1 strip of bacon, coffee (black) Snack -- 1 hardboiled egg Lunch -- 1 6oz chicken breast (1 tsp bit of soy sauce) Dinner -- 1 8oz chicken breast (just herbs and garlic powder) TONS of water (around 96oz) and about 28 oz of green tea and a couple of diet cokes. Not a great day in terms of menu -- no veggies....but I just wasn't hungry. I've been considering doing the Kimmer's 3-Day diet...and then going on to Kimkins. But I may go back to regular Induction. I've never tried to deviate from Atkins...BUT I do like the idea of lowering my fat intake -- not using as much cheese, cream cheese, butter, etc. Not sure. But for now, I'm in ketosis, feeling satisfied, staying hydrated and watching the weight go away. I'm going to try and get up tomorrow (early A.M.) and go to the gym for some quick cardio. Didn't get it in today, but hopefully this achy-cold thing I've got is headed out the door. Last edited by nicsweed : 04-20-2008 at 12:15 PM. Reason: casue |

Hey Meeha, i was attempteing to do south beach for a while because i was having major gallbladder issue's...so i could not eat much fat or red meat or much of anything, so i was eating yougart, nut's, low fat cheese, fish etc.; i did lose like 16 pounds while eating that way but i know it was because i was really ill with my gallbladder and basicly starved myself cause if i did eat i would violently vomit! I'm so glad thats over with now! Post opp 6 weeks!
Menu: breakfast: 2 eggs, scrambled w/ cheese lunch: small taco salad dinner: grilled hamburger off to the pool for water aerobics...i cant wait it is in the 80's and sunny here in ole' texas! |

Hey nic your doing great just getting back to LC myself tried it a while back but had not really educated myself the way I needed to. been doing a ton of reading both books and online. I think you are doing well and should stear very clear of Kimkins. From what I have read here and on different sites it is very destructive to the body.
Anyway your menus posting is great and kutgw subbed |

Hey Brad.....
THANKS, it's kinda rough at first geeting into the swing of things, but once i get past the induction flu i feel great! ur right about the kimkins 'drama-traum'..... i wrote that post before i had really researched it, and it is basicly starvation; so no worrie's i will just stick with my Root's (Atkins)...! |
