New lease on life in 2008

Well, I have decided that I need to loose this weight or I am going to loose my life so I am back and I am dedicated. I can not let my children grow up without a mother. I have decided that begining tomorrow I will be eating 100% clean and no more excuses or cheating!!!!!! I am doing this for me and my family and no one else.

Let me tell you first that life gets in the way so often, but I need to make this part of my life, not just something to do or try. I am a full time student, full time mom, and working full time so time is a precious thing for me, but I need to find the time to get this done once and for all.

I saw some pictures this past week of myself and am totally disgusted with it and me. I WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THIS IN A FEW MONTHS!!!!!!! I am back here to do this with a vengence and I am sure I will need a good kick is the a$$ every now and then so don't be afaid........

Goals for 2008
- loose the weight
- contiue in school and continue with A's & B's
- work enough to pay off some debt
- pay bills on time entire year

OK, well doing ok so far!!!!! With money really tight right now I have had to stick with what we have in the house but I am cutting back on everything and trying to cut down on my calories for a start- I know it is not LC and that is not the way it needs to be done, but until I can go shopping this weekend, I figured it was better then continuing to gorge and get fatter.

I have WI every day so far and only losing onces!!!!!
341.4 on Thursday
341.2 on Friday (today)
but at least it is a loss and not a gain!!!!!

I need to get more water in, I don't know what my issue is there except that I am not that thirsty at times and just not thinking about it. I need to work on this.

I will start my walking this weekend and get that moving.

TOM should have been here and I am cramping really bad right now and have been for the past couple of weeks but still working on this and not going to give up so soon.

I was thinking of doing WW last night but I just don't think I can do things where I have to measure everything out, but maybe that is just what I need....

Well off to work and will bring my stuff with me to day and look over it to see what I can do to get this moving.

Thanks so much!!!! You are so sweet and I can tell that I have met a real friend in you. I need that when it comes to this because there is no one around here that is eating this WOL and it is hard to make them understand that it is the only thing that helps me.

Well I am feeling strong today!!!! We received our check yesterday so I ran to the bank and deposited it. Called and paid all our bills last night and can go grocery shopping today!!!!!! It feels so good to hopefully be back on track.

TOM started yesterday so today is my worst and I am feeling it!!!!! But no cravings and not even hungry.

DH and I are dropping DD off at studio/gym this morning and then going to BJ's and WalMart to do major shopping. I plan on buying foods to help me stay on plan.

Things also are starting to look up regarding work and school!!!! Hopefully this year will be a good one for me and my family!!!!!!!!!

Well off to get kids up and ready to be out of here in 1 hour...... Hope everyone has a great day and I will try to check in and update later.

Well I am really trying to journal every day....I am feeling strong again today and have stayed on plan all day so far.

Went to church this morning then out to breakfast (I had a cheese omlete, coffee, and some fresh fruit) then took the kids to CCD and DH and I went grocery shopping. Then ran some errands and had lunch (I had a steak salad with ranch dressing). Now we are going to watch DH play hockey.

Boy this weekend has been very busy!!!!!!!! I have not been able to rest at all and classes start back up for me next week.

I know fruit is not on this plan at this point for me, but it was better than the waffles that I had to stay clear from!!!!!

TOM is in full swing, so I am not going to WI until it ends.

Thanks for the note in my journal! I know what its like to work full time, raise family (we have a 17.5 yr old son), go to school, and work with our church (hubby is a youth minister) all at the same time! But, perseverence is the key! I finally graduated last June 2007 with my BS psychology...

Never thought I'd say it, but I miss school!

Well I did great till last night!!!! I blew it while at my DH hockey game!!!!!! Well I guess one time over the entire weekend is better than the entire weekend.

Well I am back on track today!!!! Back to work, so it should be easier.

Hey Sweet Kathy!

Great job over the weekend. You are right, keeping your eating in perspective is very important...just a thought...do you think the fruit (even though I think it is great for a healthy way of life, just not induction) do you think it could have caused you to have more cravings than usual at hockey?

Don't give it another thought. Today is a brand new one, and the start of a week that I hope will be filled with ketosis for all!

Jamie thanks for the thoughts, I don't know about the fruit, there was about a 10 hour window there thought!!!! Well classes started yesterday (my online ones) and my first in class one starts tonight. Well I am feeling very blah right now - not sure why just not feeling very happy!!!!!! Today I am going to take a test that will help me become an official TA in our county and maybe get on in the position I am in now. I am not completely happy with it, but it is a stepping stone and I will at least get my foot in the door.

I had steak an brocolli last night and cabbage for lunch.

Today WI at 241.4 yesterday was 243 so that is better. TOM is gone.

Very busy yesterday and did not get on here - but got a lot of work done around the house on my night off from the gym.

Eating was great until last night

Weight this moring 241.2 - I know I am not sticking to it and that is why!!!!!!

I really need to dig deep inside myself to see what I can handle and do and what I can't!!!!!!!!

I am going to look over my WW paperwork today and see what I can do.....I just don't know!!!!!!!!

I really want to loose the weight and be healthy, but I don't know if I can do low carb for the rest of my life!!!!!!!!!! with WW I need to learn to eat healthy and in moderation and isn't that what I need to do? Isn't that what I am teaching my children?????
I think today I am going to do praying and thinking and see what I come up with......

Hey Kathy,

You know, when I read your post it made me remember that there is a diet somewhere in this site...maybe CAD or Protein Power...I don't know which one, but it is a diet where you have 1 "free" meal a day. You eat LC for 2 meals then a sensible 3rd meal. It may be just what you need for the evening meal. I will poke around and see what I can find out for you.

Update- had a talk with DH today and he has agreed to do WW with me!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!!!!! We are going to do some research and get some things tomorrow and start on Monday!!!!!!!

Well I did not get on here yesterday!!! Man life just is so busy!!!!!!

Yesterday DH and I started WW together!!!! This is the first time that he actually is going to try this with me, maybe that is a sign,

I did great yesterday and stayed under my points.

I know this is a LC website, so I hope you all don't mind if I stick around and keep posting here ever thought I am going to do WW.

A friend of mine has lost 68lb since last April on WW and is so glad that I am going to try it, she said that I could ask her anything and she will check on me. Maybe that is something I need.

Well WI yester was 242!!!!!!hightest weight.....today I am at 240.2!!!!!! I know it is mostly water, but that is good since it means I am back to my water drinking--very important!!!!!!!

Well today I will stay on plan and not go over my points.

Tap class tonight so great exercise.

Thanks so much ladies!!!! I am really excited and feeling great!!!!! I am really trying heard and so far today so good!!!!!

I am so pleased that DH is going to be doing this with me. I was starting to worry about his health as he has put on weight and is not sounding good and heart problems run in his family!!!!! Hopefully he will stick to it.

One thing I was so proud of yesterday is that I did not snack last night after I got home and did not snack at the gym last night eighter!!!!!!

I am still here, just have not had time to post!!!! I am really trying and sticking to it.....WI is tomorrow and I am nervous.....

Kids are off for the next 3 days so hopefully I can get some much needed things done around the house.

I am on track with my eating and not going crazy!!!!! I am proud, last night kids and DH snacked and I did not have any (hot wings and cheese sticks) I just was not hungry.

I really want to do this!!!!!! I am just going day by day and hope that this is enough.

I was looking through some pictures that I have taken in the past and boy it is said to say that through all these years of trying to loose the weight, I have not changed and/or lost anything. Well I am going to really try to work on this!!!!!!!!

I can do this!!!!!!!!
Money is begining to stress me out, but I will not let this get to me.

I have been drinking green tea quite a bit today so maybe that will help.

Jaimie - thanks!!! I am doing fine, staying on target and lowered my calorie intake quite a bit!!!! I sure have been busy but that is the fun of being a mom - right??!!!!

Well - good news - I am down to 235.6!!!!! I am happy about this, next goal is 220!!!! I am going to try to take this in 10lb increments - it doesn't seem to be so bad that way and I actually feel that I am making progress....

Tap class last night, but I need to find some time some where for other exercise!!!!!! I am taking Hip Hop on Fridays, but that is only once a week.....

Well I have to go into work this morning for a while and then take DD to the othodontist!!!!!!
