You need a lot of energy to keep up with so many kids and to keep up with the work involved around the house and in taking them places. Congrats on fitting on the rides at Six Flags. I think you are awesome. Does DFS not give you some money for taking in kids for food/clothing? Is there an Angel Food Ministry near you? Are you familiar with them? They provide food for a certain price. Google them and see if there is one near you and if it would be cost effective for you.

Blessings.
Thank you!!! I do not get any help for the kids I have taken in. I am not sure what is going to happen just yet so I don't want to ask for help just yet. We do have Angel Food Ministry around here. I just haven't checked into it in a long time. Thank you for reminding me. I don't know how we are doing it but some how food hasn't been an issue yet.

Reva- you look amazing you are so dedicated, I see your arms, if you are seriously thinking about getting them done, start really working them out, better muscle before= better outcome, and then work those suckers continuously!!!! I know it sucks when we lose all this weight and then have the skin thing, but it can all be gotten rid of!! We are doing the hard part! My stomach is so bad I am actually getting really bad sores and rashes, I am going to the doctor on Wed, it is so embarrassing I think it is all the running in the hot weather just rubbing constantly. I also think it is a large part of my lack of sex drive, I dont even want Tony to see me naked at this point. Getting my arms done helped me be a little more confident in clothes at least, I can stuff the belly into spanx at least, now my legs are really bothering me too. All that creepy skin, yuck!!!! It's a long journey, but we gotta get the first part done and the rest will come.

I truly do need to get my butt back to the gym and get in gear and get this weight off and tone up as much as possible. I am really leaning towards getting my arms done sometime in January or February. I don't worry about the sex part. Hubby has seen me at my fattest and loves me no matter what. Honestly, all the weight loss even with the flabby skin has made the sex life that much better. I am in this journey for the rest of my life so I agree that the rest will come when the times right.

Reva it's the hot weather, most of us started this last fall when it was nice and cool, now that it's hot as Hades I am having a terrible time with edema in my ankle and legs below the knee. I am suppose to be taking 10 mg of Lasix daily but I am taking 20 to try and help with the swelling the only problem with that is it stresses my kidneys.....so what to do.

Laura I know what you mean with upping the lasix. I take 80mg twice a day and would love to up it a bit to get this water off of me but I pee like a Rusian Race horse as it is.

Amber I really need to get to drinking more water than I have been. I have been drinking more diet Mt. Dew which is horrible for me than I should be. We have a nice big blue metal pool that we didn't put up this year but the kids and I are getting out there tonight once it cools down a bit and get that sucker up. There are pics of it from last summer on my FB. Its nothing special but it will keep the kiddos cool.

So, no pool as of yet. I am about to say the heck with it and let them sit in the house everyday while I hit the water park. I swear these kids are so lazy.

I just went to the store for dinners this week. I have got to start getting more strict on myself again. I am thinking of just eating meat for the rest of the week. I need to get this water weight off. My ring won't even fit on my sausage looking fingers. I HAVE TO LEAVE THE FRANKEN FOODS ALONE!!!!!!

My son would be slug in front of the ipod/TV if I let him, he hates getting hot, he likes laying on the couch eating junk, we had to make a schedule for them, limiting TV, Ipods, snacks, etc getting their butts to the pool, etc, kids are so different, when we were their age we left on our bikes and didn't come home until the last minute, it is so hard to encourage them to go outside. After dinner I just said outside and we all went out and played, it is very annoying!!!! I cant imagine all of them in there, LOL

I remember when I was young and getting up to do our chores and eat. We would leave on our bikes and not come home till dinner. We would then leave again and not come back till right before the street lights on. I fixed my kids this week. I had Direct Tv cut off. They sit in front of the tv non stop or play video games. It gets on my dang nerves. I won't have it turned back on for at least another few weeks. I will fix their butts.

I love going to the water park but I will tell you what, with all these kids it costs and arm and a leg to just get in. I would rather just spend the gas money and take them to Six Flags with our passes.

Reva I love it I will have to remember that disconnect the cable or something, LOL Yeah the water parks would be $$$ with all those kids, does six flags have a water park in it? I say get out the sprinkler and let them spritz that is always fun and waters the grass at the same time, LOL

Even though I love my iPhone it's not wonderful at posting a whole bunch. Internet is down and will be at least until Thursday. I have had to go to the library to do school work And their computer are slow as dirt.

I have feeling very frustrated about my losing pattern lately. So, for the first time in 10 months today I had a small cheat in hopes of jump staring the weightless again. I had jumped back up to 257 just from the swelling I believe. I chose things that I do not live so I see the cheat as no biggie. I had 1/2 slice of pizza, 4 graghm crackers and 1/4 peanut burtter sandwich. None of these are my favorites so I don't see me backsliding any.

One of my best friends brought me fresh from the garden tomatoes, squash, zuccini, purple onion, cucumber, cabbage and fresh lettuce from her Dads garden. So, I am set to get things to thing to moving in the right direction again.

I haven't been able to get back to the gym just yet but I
Plan to start walking in early mornings and go to the church gym with the kiddos til school starts back next month.

I will be back when I can to do personals. I feel so out of the loop right now.

Oh, yeah, it is just swelling, it will come right back off! I swear, nothing makes me swell up like eating anything with flour in it! I took a couple of bites of frosting the other day as my cheat (at a party) and threw the cake away because I just can't take the bloating.

10 months of no cheating, you blow me away!!!

It is good to hear from you!

I am normally a gym rat and when I get to going I stay very focused. I would love to have you as an accountability partner for the gym. The kids go back to the gym in four weeks and I am not so sure I will beable to go back before then.

KT how are you doing?

I am here at the library and it sucks but at least I am able to get my college work completed.

The scale hasn't moved any but we went to the water park on Saturday and was in the sun all day and didn't drink much water Yesterday so I am certain I am holding on to some water. I am hoping to see a loss in the next few days. This is getting so frustrating for me.
