I am excited to see the scale moving back downward. It makes it so much easier to stay focused and not want the salty crap.

I am going to the Dr this morning finally. I a few pounds within the goal he had for me but I am sure he will be pleased any ways. After being without my b/p medicines over the weekend I am not so sure I should come off of any of them right now. I never want to feel like my head is going to spin off again like it did on Sunday.

Amber I didn't get a chance to enjoy my lettuce salad Yesterday but I will be giving it a try sometime today.

I will be heading back to the gym tonight. I didn't want to go with no b/p meds but I so ready to go.

Hey Reva! Hope your appt went well. I was wondering if your headaches were related to bp since you had lost so much weight was wonderinDg if the dosage needed tweaking. What did your doc say besides getting onto you for letting yourself run out and not calling anyway?

What was the report on Jeriah's eyes? Hope it was good and reassuring.

Finished with your course for the summer? Do you take your courses online or through a local community college? We are heading out with some friends to see Nanny McPhee Returns. It is only .50 each through the summer movie program then I am dropping the girls off at a pool with huge/tall slides. I will not stay as I hate the heat and my doctor gave me orders to stay out of the sun as I am really fairskinned and burn easily.

Your stepson off to boot camp yet? I remember how frustrated and angry I could get with my teen daughter and how thankful I was when she left for college. Those teens are so self centered and rebellious. I think it is part of the Lord's plan so that you are able to let them go LOL. However, she is now 20 and our relationship is soooooo much improved. She has matured and thanked me for the things I did/said and even said she wanted to go back and thank some of those teachers who were such a pain!! So hang in there. He will come around and realize how good he had it after he is out in the world for a bit!! Since he is going in the military it may even happen sooner for him. LOL. Let me point out that things are not perfect. When she comes home she still ends up in spats with her siblings......

Reva,

Woot!!! 257, that is so great!!!

I think the pharmacist would front you a few blood pressure pills. I have gone to the pharmacy to ask for help for my mom and my husband when they ran low on important meds a couple of times.

What they do is give you 2-3 doses and put in a call to the doc themselves to get refill, so when the doc responds, they just put the balance in the bottle and you come back Monday for the rest.

It has gotten crazier with mail order now, my husband's insurance insists on mail order or sometimes a "special pharmacy" for an expensive prescription but it doesn't always come through or sometimes there isn't enough time to get it, so I find myself struggling with the insurance company. I can usually push them into allowing the local pharmacy to fill in these cases, explaining it is urgent.

I was in complete shock this morning with the scale but jumping up and down like a little kid at Christmas. The Dr. scale Yesterday said I was 254.
So, not sure if I had a misread on the scale Yesterday or not. He was very pleased with my progress and decided to decrease my meds. He said if I lost another 15 pounds by November I would be off of them completely he thinks. The lab work came back fantastic too. I had to laugh when the Dr said if I can lose another 15 by November. I told him I am planning on being at 199 by then. He told me if I did I would become his poster girl for weightloss. It made my day.

kcmama the Dr did tweak my meds which was a good thing. My bp is back to normal now. He gave me orders to decrease them even more if the numbers start going down with the weight loss before I go back to see him. I am in the bachelors program and have at least another year so I will be attending college all year round. My kids want to see Nanny McPhee Returns. Was it good? My step son doesn't leave for boot camp until Janruary. That is the next open window they had. I am going to go insane for sure by that time. He got into some trouble on Monday but luckily he got out of it. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time and they tried to blame him. I can't stand prejudice cops.

KT the pharmacy did end up fronting me some bp meds. I wish I would have thought of it on Saturday before they closed. I don't think I could deal with the mail order pharmacy and the insurance. I get to impatient with stuff.

Amber looks like I met your goal for me by the 23rd and surpassed it. How are you doing? I try to glance at your journal but I get overwelmed with the wonderful group of followers you have. One day I am going to just sit down and catch up with them all. You are quite an inspiration to all of us.

Martini thank you!!!!!! How are you doing?

That is awesome about your meds and blood work!!!!! I know you will be in great shape by then!!!! And dont stress about the 199, by November, it is harder now, but whatever you lose will help you!!! Keep it up!!!! You are a rock star!!!

Sorry to hear about boot camp that is bad news, but try to deal with it and not let it get you down!!!!

KT- since you dont have a journal Carnac needs to make a visit to you, is your weight in your stats correct? If you are 226 I am going to predict that by 6/30 you will be 218!!! The wand is waving and I have my turban on!!!!!

Amber, you are such a sweetie. I don't think I could maintain a journal, just having started the Kwasniewski thread is a lot to keep up with! I have the coolest bunch over there, OMG, I posted some cool stuff and then other members come in and give me more info. than I could ever hope to find myself, they are so amazing!

I love looking on all of you ladies, though!

I quickly change my stats when I hit a new low but don't change when I go up!!! I am up five pounds from there, 231, sigh. I screwed up eating at the hospital yesterday, and a royally messed up last month. I heard what you said in your journal about what your husband said, I am doing the same darn thing, and I am going to clean it up!!!

OK, I want that 219 badly, but it will take me a few more weeks since I have fraudulent stats!!! Hehe.

OK new wand!!! I am going to say 211 by 8/6!!!!

I know Tony is right, and it makes me mad that I am wasting all this time as the wedding is getting closer by thinking I can eat when it is all too apparent that I cant! I have been hovering between 225-220 for going on 6 weeks, that is crazy!!!!!!!! SO time to get it together! I am going to be in the teens by Monday even if I have to pull a Ghandi, LOL

Amber I know you have it in you girlie!! You can get to the teens by Monday. Stay strong and focus on the prize at the end. I am here cheering you on.

Dh and I am both weighed this morning. I am now officially two pounds lighter than he is. I haven't been smaller than him in over 10 years. It felt so good to see the look on his face when I stepped on there.

6/10 262.0
6/13 260.2
6/14 257.0
6/15 253.2
6/16 251.0

I can't believe I am going to be in the 40's soon. It just seems weird for some reason. I haven't changed anything this week to start losing so quick again but I am sure not going to question it either. I was actually laughing this morning telling hubby that I am going to have to start eating this no sugar bunny tracks ice cream every day since I have eaten it 3 times this week and still losing. I told him its from all the gas. He said please stop eating it because you are killing me.

KT I am not sure how it is coming off so quickly again but I sure don't want to jinks myself. I haven't been to the gym in over a week again. I just don't seem to have enough hours in the day. I have to get back there once hubby goes off vacation.

Today, we are cleaning out the spare room so I can put the computer in there so I can get some peace and quiet to do my homework. I swear its like a freakin zoo around here.

I am in shock Amber about 11 pounds in 10 days but super excited. I just know that I always seem to do that. I lose a great deal and then get stuck. It seems to always happen like that.

I couldn't weight for the day to get below hubby's weight. I love being able to try on his clothes. He has some cool gym shorts and t-shirts I should now be able to fit into.

I am so freakin excited even if its by the skin of my teeth. I am officially in the 240's. I don't know why but it all of a sudden seems like a huge milestone for me. I think I am seeing it like a downhill finally being away from the exact middle of the 200's. Weird I know and hard to explain.

Reva- of course it is a huge milestone, my word woman, look how far you have come, remember the old doctor scales that clank the weights over by 50's, I wa sso sick of the 300, then when it didnt go any further, then getting under 300 then of course under 250, today you would start with just the 200, not the 250 clunker, LOL That is how I think of it! LOL I am just waiting for the 199, and from the looks of things, I got a long wait, good grief, LOL I cannot believe that I am exercising like a freaking maniac and watching everything and that scale is not budging, I am eating a big old steak tonight, sometime steak moves it, why? No clue!!!

You celebrate that victory!!!! You earned it GF!!!! And steal all hubby's clothes while you are at it!!!

I was thinking that with the scale exactly Amber. It is so funny that you brought that up. My nephew who is 6ft 3" and 185 thought I was insane when I tried to explain it. I am thinking that me not going to the gym at the moment has honestly triggered my weight loss again. I am going to weight a few more days and then go back on Monday.

You are doing an amazing job and I am so proud of you for all of your hard work.

LOL Dh told me this evening to stay clear of his gym clothes.

Hi Laura!! I am glad to know everything is ok!! I was getting really worried once I had called. I am not use to all these high tech phones. I just recently got an i phone and been struggling to figure it all out. I should be home later tonight. We are off to St Louis to see the in laws. Hubby is on vacation and we haven't been in awhile.

The scale was up a bit this morning do to the fried cabbage and sweet purple onion at 10pm last night but it sure was yummy.

Todays plans are clean, clean and laundry. I slacked all weekend and it sure can tell. I need to get a big grocery order made up too. The freezers and cabinets are getting bare. The kids being home and feeding them three meals a day is killing the pocket book.
