A pay check is always a nice thing. I haven't seen one in quite some time for myself. It will be nice to get back out in the work force. I am going to finish my bachelors first though while Jeriah is small.

Excited to see you are coming along nicely!!! I am jealous. I just can't afford to have it done right now. Although, I have strongly thought about having a Mommy Makeover when I reach GOAL.

Reva, thank God you got the little Big man's cake, that would have been a chef-baker mommy call if not. I had to go buy some new clothes tonight, do you have a Burkes Outlet there?, they have some really nice clothes for not moola'. It's tuff when you have no clothes to wear, kinda makes it hard to go out in public and we can't have the public blinded now can we.

Laura I have never heard of a Burkes outlet here in Missouri. I will have to do a search for it. I sure would cause a lot of rest if I took this body out in public naked. I am afraid I would even scare everyone away at a nudist colony.

lol Reva! I wouldn't take myself out nekkid either! When I was in NY the bridal party went to a health spa and one of the cool features about the place was communal soaking tubs, like bath house style. But you HAD to be nude to use them, they wouldn't even allow bathing suits-so I didn't do it. lol I enjoyed the bathing suit friendly pools and dry saunas

Today is my hubbies 36th birthday. We are suppose to go out to lunch together today. I am just not quite sure where yet. It is raining and yucky out naturally.

I don't really have any other plans. I do need to get busy getting the house ready for Sunday. It feels so cluttered and I hate that. I do plan on hitting the gym and tanning bed of course sometime today.

Amber how are things this morning for ya?

Laura I hope you have a great day with Mrs Minnie today.

Edens you got big plans for the weekend?

lol I don't know if I will feel like 'whatever' in my late 30's. I'm 30 now, I just can't see it. :P I mean, it was all women, it's not like I was trying to impress anyone. But I was with a big group of women from my friend's wedding. Mostly 20 something Asian petite women. So yeah, wasn't about to get n00d in front of them. :P

Reeeva! I need to declutter, too! Next weekend we're doing a yard sale with our neighbor. No weddings this weekend or next weekend (though I might help out a fellow florist with Easter orders next week), yay, a break! Whew! Tomorrow we're having my son's actual birthday party with friends at laser tag, and Sunday is a luau themed potluck. Every Sunday at my friend Ross's house, they do a potluck, apparently this time someone is supposed to have gone hog hunting, so we're doing a pig roast. Hopefully. I keep worrying, what if someone doesn't get a pig?! But they're also doing brisket. lol I'm not sure what sort of side dishes to bring other than pineapple and Hawaiian bread or rice. I gotta google that one!

edit: PS, down 1.8 pounds since Tuesday!!!! I'm now below my pre-vacation weight!

The pot luck sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy!!!! We are celebrating my sons first birthday on Sunday. It is Mickey Mouse themed.

Yard sales are a lotof hard work but so worth the pay off if you can get rid of a lot of stuff and make some extra cash too.

wtg on being down 1.8 pounds. You will get below vacation weight before you know it.

Sleepy thank you so much for joining us and sharing some information about you. You will love being in the "cool" club. I am not quite sure the hcg diet is safe. There are some days that I eat 500 calories or less but its not because I am starving myself, I just simply don't get hungry. I know a girl who is doing it and she has to give herself shots every morning. I just refuse to go to those extremes.

lol Reva, I AM below my pre-vacation weight. By 1.4 pounds. :P

I don't know if I could do HCG. I mean, I probably could since I do 500 calories or less every other day anyway, but I don't want shots! I know some people take drops, but eh.. JUDDD's working for me, I'm not gonna mess with it! :P

Hey Sleepy,

RE: HGC - I doubt there is anything magic about the shot; I have read enough about ultra low calorie diets to know deep ketosis alone produces teh "magical" effects. The homeopathic version are basically water drops. If someone becomes excited, engaged, and believes it will work, it probably will.

It makes me think about the dang moles that got bigger while I was pregnant. Also, I have no clue how anyone would maintain the weight loss.

I'm reading a book by Dr. Ray Peat (not low carb, I'm just looking for clues how to not screw my thyroid with my diet). He thinks HGC could cause cancer.

High fructose diets destroy liver's insulin sensitivity. Glutens bind up insulin and leptin receptors, interfering with satiety. Industrial vegetable oils contribute to inflammation of the liver that is part of metabolic syndrome. Read archevore/Kurt Harris for more info. Exercised muscles will up regulate insulin receptors.

lol Reva, no worries, I was just excited to point out I'm already there!

Sleepy, it's actually pretty easy. You can google the Dr. Johnson Up Day Down Day Diet or Alternate Day Diet and find the website that can help you calculate your calorie intake, and has all the info to get you started. Basically every other day you eat 20% or so of your daily recommended allowance of calories (or under 500 calories, for the first 2 weeks they recommend 500 until you get used to it), and on the other days you eat normally. Now, the book says there's really no restriction on the types of foods you can have, so you don't have to do it low carb and actually they don't recommend that for some stupid reason, but I do because when I eat carbs it's bad. lol For me JUDDD with low carb has really helped. Eating so low calorie on those days triggers a 'rescue' gene that burns fat for fuel and curbs appetite, and has anti inflammatory benefits, so allergies and arthritis symptoms tend to go down. I have noticed since starting JUDDD that my sinuses are waaaay clearer than they used to be, and it's spring here in Texas and I'm not having allergy attacks which is Awesome. Yesterday was a 'down day' which is what we call the low cal days, and I ate like 314 calories and for most of the day I wasn't hungry at all, not until around 11:30pm. That's when I had a cheese stick. This morning I made scrambled eggs with cheese and I could only eat half of the two I made. The first few down days were challenging, but once that gene got triggered I was fine. They're also easier if you're busy. Some down days if I just want to eat I will and then make it a 'medium' or another up day and then try for a DD the next day. It's flexible, which I like. And I have lost weight twice as fast doing this than regular low carb, which I love.

im scared of the hcg and dont know why anybody would put some foreign drops/shots into their body

I think the HCg sounds terrible, I dont want to be injecting myself or eating 500 calories, that is too low, and its too hard eating this and that on these days, I like LC cause it is pretty easy to stick to, although SLeepy I totally get your frustration!!!! Maybe JUDDD would work I know several people that are quite successful on it! I like that it is still LC to some degree. The fasting, no thanks!!!! I did the fat fast and the first 2 days killed me, then I lost 8 pounds in 5 days and gained it all back the next week screwed me up for weeks!

That's awesome! Sounds like y'all had a really wonderful time!

Quick update on my schtuff since I haven't been posting as much! We had Dakota's bday party on Saturday at laser tag. I have to say, it was a lot better than doing the pizza places we used to go to! The younger one wants his there in September.

Yesterday was Luau for us at potluck. Someone went hunting and shot a 75 pound hog that they roasted on a spit! Ate totally not low carb, but it was planned, so I feel no guilt! I was also at a new low yesterday.. well, new low since this go round of dieting! lol 220! I'm now smaller (well, I weigh a few pounds less) than my husband, which is the first time in our relationship! I love JUDDD and zumba, I lost 4.4 pounds from Tuesday-Sunday! Wow!

Eden wtg on being at a new low and weighing less than your husband. I can't wait till I can pass my husband by. He was 244 on Saturday. Sounds like your party was a success as well. The potluck even sounds like a lot of fun. I BBQed for Jeriah's birthday party. Everyone loved it and I was able to enjoy myself eating low carb.

Laura Jeriah didn't get a lot of loot but he got a ton of super cute clothes for summer. I don't have to buy anymore that's for sure. I haven't got to read much but I am sure glad you are safe from the tornado. That must have been super scary. If you need anything let me know.

Amber how are you doing my friend? I haven't got to check up on you this weekend either.
