I am excited today is Friday, but I am also nervous. I have worked hard all week to eat get some weight off. This morning I am down a pound. I always over eat the right foods on the weekends or so it seems. I don't want to regain the same pound and have to work at it even harder next week. That is where frustration starts. Don't get me wrong I am doing great, I just don't want to fall back into old habbits. Today is homecoming parade and the football game. The kiddos only have a half day. This means we will be busy. Tomorrow, there are three towns/subdivisions having yards sales. I love to hit them to get some great deals. The only problem is that it is way to easy to just go thru drive-thru somewhere and grab some food instead of coming home and preparing it. I have pork roast in the crockpot for tonight. So, this should help me this evening not wanting to take the kiddos out to eat because we are rushed to get to the game.

B~ 3 boiled eggs made into egg salad with 1 tbsp mayo/mustard

L~ Chicken salad(chicken, mayo), 1 boiled egg

D~ Pork roast, 1 tbsp ranch, fried cabbage 1 pat butter, 1 can diet 7-up

Water, Water and more water!!!!!!

If you eat at home, think of the money you will be saving!! sounds like a win/win..better eating, more money in your pocket

Make sure you have a full tummy before garage saleing..that way you won't get hungry you want to stop.

I double dog dare ya to skip the fast food place this weekend

Glad to see the switch to diet pop!!!!

Good morning Diane!!! Your on. I can do this!! I am proud to say I haven't had a pepsi in three weeks now. It feels great. The swelling is down tremendously and I don't feel sluggish all the time. I was consuming at least 2-3 44oz fountain sodas a day. I have been going to sonic some days just to get a Route 44 water just for the feel of drinking from a straw and big cup like that. They are only .42cents so I can't complain. I don't buy anything else there so it feels awesome. It is great to see how much money I am saving daily by not buying all those sodas either.

YOUR ARE DOING SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!!

When I switched from Diet Pepsi to Diet Rite is when I noticed the bloated feeling after Diet Pepsi. I still have one every now and then, but diet rite is my choice now

Tuck all that money you are saving in a jar for you..then when you hit a goal treat yourself to something.

KEEP IT UP GIRL!!!

Diane you are doing an awesome job yourself. I bought some diet rite to have on hand in case of "emergency" but it just doesn't taste good to me at the moment. Thanks so much for always being here for me. It truly helps a great deal.

Faith and I got up before the sun came up this morning. We went to a few subdivision yard sales. We got some great buys on things I was actually needing instead of buying things on impulse.

I made it Diane!!!! I didn't eat out at all today. I actually wasn't hungry all day. Here is my menu.

B~ lc slim fast shake
S~ diet 7-up
L~ lc slim fast shake
D~ crustless pizza (with pic)

I feel good about today. I am just praying that I don't see a gain in the morning from the sodium in the pizza.

B~ low carb slim fast shake

S~ hot green tea with s/f syrup

L~ salad with egg, cheese, steak fajita meat, ranch

D~ grilled steak, cauliflower with butter, ranch

Oh What a feeling!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! Go me!!! The scale was down again this morning. I made it thru a weekend without seeing a gain from over eating. I knew I could do it if I put my mind to it. I kept busy this weekend so it helped not to be stuck in the house bored and looking for something to do.

B~ 2 boiled eggs, 1 tbsp mayo/mustard (egg salad)

S~ hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani

L~ boiled egg, tuna pouch, 1 tbsp mayo, 1 slice of tomato

I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!

I wasn't on line here yesterday so wanted to check your journal and am thrilled to read this.

You really got your mojo going Reva..just keep it up, keep your focus and keep watching that scale move down. You have made tremendous accomplishments....and through all the years I have known you, I think this is the first that you have been able to not only limit the pop, but to switch to diet, which is so much better than the full sugar crap.

You, my friend, are ROCKIN IT

Diane you are the best!! I have learned a great deal of knowledge from you about eating right. I don't know where I would be today without your encouraging words and guidance. Thank you so much my dear friend.

I am planning on changing up my eating today and see what happens. I always have my biggest meal of the day for dinner. The days I eat chicken for dinner the scale seems to be up the next morning. I am not sure of the reason behind it. I don't over eat or anything that I am aware of. So, today I am going to have my dinner for lunch and eat something lighter for dinner and see what happens.

B~ low carb chocolate slim fast shake

L~ chuck steak with fried onions and green peppers, sauteed veggies, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 tbsp butter

D~ 3 egg omelet with cheese, mushrooms, salsa, sausage

I have a few early morning appointments today so I didn't feel like cooking and getting me and Jeriah ready to go so early. It is freezing.

349.4

The wish fairy paid me a visit this morning. The scale was down from 352.2 to 349.4. I am super excited. My October goal is to be down to 340. I think it is very doable. If only I would have kept the weight over after I had Jeriah 5 1/2 months ago. I would be way lower than I am now. It is crazy how fast I can put on the weight but it seems like it takes an eternity to get the weight off. I am praying for the day I can see Twoterville again.

I am not quite sure if me switching my meals around had anything to do with the weight loss or not. I did get in quite a bit more water Yesterday as well. Today, we are having fish for dinner so I am not going to switch anything today and see what happens. If I see a gain I will change my meals for a week and see what happens.

B~ 2 fried eggs in butter, 1 sausage patty

L~ turkey burger with mayo/mustard

D~ baked catfish, cauliflower with butter, shred cheese

and lots of

The scale was the same this morning. I am okay with that. I know I can't lose every day but a girl sure can dream. I did a lot of walking last night with the kiddos. I was pushing the baby and then my three teenagers was walking with me. They are all in shape and tall. It was hard to keep up with them but I made it. I knew it was time to get my butt in gear and start exercising again.

B~ 2 boiled eggs with mayo/mustard (egg salad)

L~ 2 boiled eggs with mayo/mustard (egg salad)

D~ grilled steak with ranch, sauteed veggies, butter

I changed it up from what I had planned but still looks ok to me.

Hi Reva-I'm pretty new here and just ran across that pizza photo-YUM! Can you tell me what you used for the crust? I miss pizza a LOT, and would love to have something that's even a little bit comparable.

BTW, I sooooo admire your resolve to stick to this woe. You are inspirational-WTG on losing over 25 pounds!!!

Thank you so much and welcome to the boards. Feel free to follow me on my journal and post anytime you like.

I just pat raw ground beef in the bottom of a pan and season it with Italian seasoning. I then cook it for about 15-20 minutes. Then take it out and drain the left over grease. I then pat it with a paper towel. Then add the pizza sauce and whatever else I want. Put it back in the oven until cheese melts and then its ready to eat. You can even pick up the pizza to eat it. It is one of my favorites.

I am posting my daily weight on the daily weigher thread so I decided to add them to my journal for quick reference for me.

Start 377 on 9/12/10

Sunday 10/03 ~ 353.4

Monday 10/04 ~ 351.6

Tusday 10/05 ~ 352.2

Wednesday 10/06 ~ 349.4

Thursday 10/07 ~ 349.4

Friday 10/08 ~ 349.8

I think I ate a bit too much meat at dinner last night. The steak was really yummy and I know I ate 2 big servings of it. I wasn't even hungry so thats the crazy part.

I went to bed with a backache and this morning woke up with a belly ache. Not sure why but it stinks. I just want to crawl back into bed and sleep the morning away.

B~ low carb slim fast shake

L~ leftover steak, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 boiled egg

D~ leftover steak, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 boiled egg

The menu may change if I feel better today.

Love it when I see a nice loss. It feels awesome. Now, its the weekend so I am praying I can stay strong and not over eat like I tend to do on weekends. I did awesome last weekend so I am confident I can do it.

Thanks so much lilmrschevy and Diane for cheering me on. It truly means a lot.

Not sure what I have planned for the day today but I doubt it will be much. I need a nice relaxing weekend for a change. I am not babysitting this weekend so I think I am just gonna go with the flow and see what happens.

Tuesday 10/05 ~ 352.2

Thursday 10/07 ~ 349.4
Friday 10/08 ~ 349.8
Saturday 10/09 ~ 347.2
Sunday 10/10 ~ 346.6

Down 6.8 pounds for the week!!! I am super happy to see in front of me the pattern of my weightloss or gain. I can't complain one bit. I am a ways away from the 50's so I am super excited this morning.

I was thinking of making some recipes that I have found that I would really like to try but I decided that it will be best for me to stick with the basics like I have been doing. If it isn't broke don't fix it right? I always enjoy the foods I eat so there are no reasons I can think of to change it at the moment.

B~ 2 egg omelet with sausage, cheese, green pepper

L~ turkey burger with mayo/mustard

D~ Either chicken wings or beef stew meat, sauteed mixed veggies, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 tbsp butter

Monday 10/11 345.2

The scale was down to 345.2. Tomorrow I will mark 30 days of my new healthy eating plan. I am quite pleased with my results. I knew I could do it. I just had to clear my head and get my butt in gear and get it done.

Start 377 on 9/12/10

Sunday 10/03 ~ 353.4
Monday 10/04 ~ 351.6
Tuesday 10/05 ~ 352.2
Wednesday 10/06 ~ 349.4
Thursday 10/07 ~ 349.4
Friday 10/08 ~ 349.8
Saturday 10/09 ~ 347.2[/U]
Sunday 10/10 ~ 346.6
6.8 pounds lost for the week

346.6
Monday 10/11 ~ 345.2

B~ 2 boiled eggs, 1 tbsp mayo, 1/2 tsp mustard (egg salad)

L~ beef stew meat, fried cabbage with 1 pat butter

D~ hamburger no bun with 1 tbsp ranch, sauteed veggies in
1 tbsp. butter

Snacks if needed

hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani
s/f jello
1 serving macadamia nuts

This week my goal is to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise 3 days. I plan on working my way up but I know this goal is very doable for me right now.

Today the kids have to go get a few shots for school after they get home so I will have a busy evening but I know I can squeeze a walk in at least.

I start a new college class today so things are going to get kind of hectic again. I can't complain though. I have to more classes left after this one and then I am complete with my degree.

Monday 10/11 ~ 345.2
Tuesday 10/12 ~ 346.8

I am up 1.8 pounds this morning. I am blaming it on the extra sodium on my burger last night. I accidently used garlic salt in stead of garlic powder along with the little bit of seasoned salt that I used. I drank plenty of water last night but it wasn't enough obviously.

On a good note, today marks 30 days back on atkins and I am down exactly 30.2 pounds today. That is a huge accomplishment. I can't believe the weight has fallen off so quickly.

Todays menu:
B~ 2 egg omelet with sausage and cheese
L~ 1 tuna packet with 1 boiled egg, 1 tbsp mayo, 1/2 cup green beans leftover
D~ baked chicken thigh, fried cabbage, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 pat butter
S~ s/f jello, 1 serving macadamia nuts

Gonna have another day of beautiful weather so the kiddos and I are heading out this evening for a walk around the neighborhood. I am planning on doing so exercises when Jeriah lays down for his morning nap.

I posted in the century club in hopes others could read it and know that it is possible to do. We just have to stay focused and not continue to cheat every few days.

Blaming the gain on too much s/f jello with whipped cream and macadamia nuts. I just couldn't seem to get enough last night. I am not sure what was going on. No worries though, it will come back off.

Going to drink lots of water today and see what happens.

I have a lot of errands and bills to pay today so I will probably be away from home the majority of the morning. I refuse to run thru drive-thru and pick up a salad. After I saw how many carbs they actually have, forget it.

B~ 1 small leftover chicken thigh, 1 boiled egg
L~ grilled chicken tenderloins, 1 tbsp ranch, 1 boiled egg
D~ pork steak, 1 tbsp. ranch, 4 deviled egg halves
S~ hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani

I am actually happy with no loss today. I was afraid I would see the number go up instead. I didn't drink nearly enough water Yesterday. I just got side tracked and didn't drink much liquids at all. I am making up for it today though.

Diane enjoy your vacation. Can't wait for you to get back. I won't let you down.

B~ 2 egg omelet with cheese, sausage, onion, green pepper
L~ tuna packet with 1 egg, 1 tbsp mayo
D~ beef stew meat with steamed veggies, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp ranch

Water, Water and more Water!!!!!!!!!

I am waiting on the repair man to come back with the part they had to order to fix my dryer today. Ugh!! Money I don't want to fork out when I could just get a new front loader in a few months. With a family of 7, not having a dryer is no option.

Not exactly happy with my loss for the week. I am praying for a nice whoosh in the morning for my weekly official weigh in. As of right now, I am only down 1.2 pounds for the week.
I haven't ate off plan and I haven't over eaten but 1 time the whole week. I guess I need to look at is as at least I didn't see a gain. I know I have lost a significant amount of weight in a short time so its possible that my body is trying to catch up with the loss.

B~ Cup of hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani, 2 egg omelet with sausage and cheese

L~ turkey burger with mayo/mustard

D~ 2 boiled eggs with mayo/mustard (egg salad)

I am planning on heading to the gym today sometime. The kiddos love going so it is a win win situation for all.
