Hi Reva,

I'm sorry to hear about the leg and workouts! You are doing great for all the stuff you have had to go through! Seriously!

Sorry to be repetitive if you've read this - I keep talking about my Kwasniewski diet. He's a polish doctor that people flock to for his healing diet. He is sort of Polland's Dr. Atkins, but it is lower in protein. He is much more famous for healing than weight loss, he just considers obesity another health condition to cure, and he claims weight loss of up to 3 lbs per week.

Maybe this would help you too...he believes in eating eggs as the primary source of the diet because everything is in there, all the materials to build and rebuild the body because the entire body of the chick grows from the egg. It has almost all the vitamins and minerals we need, and the most biologically useful protein.

I have heard this before, but what was I thinking! It didn't occur to me to focus here. He says to eat 3 to 5 per day, maybe this would help you heal. I am hoping that his theory of higher quality protein requires less of it. I think this is why the egg fast works so well for people!

He believes muscle meat isn't needed as much because we replace our muscles at a slower rate than other cells. Gosh, eggs are so cheap too.

Yard sale? Gosh, you never rest! Cool that on the money. I'm so lazy, I don't know how you do it, esp. with kids to take care of.

High fructose diets destroy liver's insulin sensitivity. Glutens bind up insulin and leptin receptors, interfering with satiety. Industrial vegetable oils contribute to inflammation of the liver that is part of metabolic syndrome. Read archevore/Kurt Harris for more info. Exercised muscles will up regulate insulin receptors.

Hey! Sorry I've been MIA!

Sorry to hear about the infection, but I'm so relieved for you that it was benign. Just take it easy and do what the doc says! And yay for your new low!

Friday was a Down Day for me on JUDDD, and I went all day with only like 300ish calories, and then I accidentally bought a regular soda instead of diet, and drank like 3 oz of it before I realized. I was so mad at myself. A few hours later I got home and I was so tired and wanted to eat something-and my darn husband had ordered pizza. So I ended up having 2 slices of pepperoni (pizza hut, large, deep dish). I was sure I would be up a couple of pounds, but somehow...I got to a new low yesterday, 227.8 I think. Probably because the wedding I had on Friday was in a HUGE resort and we must have walked a few miles doing the set up, and it was stressful. So yesterday I tried to redo my down day. But this morning I was back up to 230 because I went to Red Lobster with 2 of my friends last night I failed on my down day at like 8pm and gave in, and I had lobster nachos, and 3 biscuits. :/ lol After dinner we went to WalMart and my friend tried to feed me a piece of chocolate and I actually recoiled from her and was like 'NOO' LOL so funny. I know it's all water weight, so I'm trying to be good today, and so far I have not had anything to eat at all and feel fine. I'm trying to do another down day to reset myself to get back on track, and save all my allowed calories for tonight's pot luck! lol So I'm kind of mad at myself, but at the same time I know it's just a temporary gain/set back, and to just get right back on track. In the past I would have just been like 'screw it, screw this! i don't care!' but I'm not. So that's what my weekend was like, work and diet failure. lol I'm leaving for NYC on Wednesday so I won't be here as much from the 30th-6th. Wish me luck, for I do plan on a few cheat days of the trip. lol I hope I don't come home back at 240!

Eden's Red Lobster biscuits are evil, LOL They are really hard to resist, so you had some set back probably due to too much work and being tired it is good you pulled yourself upo and got back on track!

Reva- my cousin had a yard sale on Sat she made $400 lots of kids stuff, she was thrilled and it was bitterly cold!

Skinny clothes money!!!!

Amber that was my though exactly. I will need summer clothes thats for sure. The kids have my Mom and Dad who spoil them rotten with clothes and stuff so I should have some money for me too. Thats darn good on the kids stuff and it being cold out. I think with the economy being so bad people have no choice but to catch awesome deals when they can.

Edens enjoy your trip. You know how your plan works and you can get right back at it when you get home. Enjoy!!!! You so deserve it. WOW!!! Sounds like you was super busy this weekend.

KT thank you for sharing that information with me. The last few days I have been eating at least 3 eggs a day. I wonder if that is why I am losing again?

The first weekend in May where my Mom lives the whole entire Subdivision has yard sales. I think the whole county goes. There are tons of people. You can't even drive your car down the streets. That is what I am waiting on. Thats why I am having my sale in my town on April 9th. I want to have lots of spending money.

You're welcome, Reva!

I've had my egg quota for the day. Reading about you guys making chicken wings - I ran out and bought some, they are in the oven! I remember when the dang things were so cheap, now they have become desirable! Fortunately, I found a pack 30% off.

Wow, that is quite a bit of traffic. Too bad I can't sell my stuff there too!

Wow! I must have been so busy Yesterday I forgot to check in. I ended up getting tons of stuffed priced for the sale. My friend with the resale shop came over and helped me price some stuff. I have a lot of antique stuff as well when I had a store on ebay. She even bought some stuff from me too. So, I made some money in the process. Can't beat that.

Today, I am heading up to her store to help her. We have been trying to get all of the winter stuff put away and the summer stuff out. She can't seem to find the bigger womans clothes yet though. I am determined to find them and go thru them before she gets them on the racks.....LOL. I am in desperate need of some 20's. I also need 18/20 shirts now. I refuse to go out and buy anyday else new. The money pot is getting very low and its time to build it back up. Since having to buy a new fridge and paying almost $1000 on my surgery I am drained.

Todays plan is:
B~ omelet with cheese, shrooms, sausage and onion

L~ low carb slim fast shake(chocolate)

D~ Steak and cauliflower with butter and sour cream

I tried one of the sample whey protein packets I won from the gym over the weekend. It was cake batter!!!!! I must say OMG it was delish. I added it with ice, unsweetened almond milk and a dash of s/f vanilla davinci. I blended it up for a bit and it was a thick yummy yummy yummy treat. The best part was it was only 3 carbs.

I will say Reva some of the protein shakes have gotten so much better! I am impressed with the ones i have been trying, and at only 2 or 3 carbs and almost 20 grams of protein they are super! I hope you find some clothes skinny!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh, Reva, you have found the crack!!! Whey shakes are so good, I don't bother to buy premade ones, but I would if I were still travelling.

It is sinking in with me now that I can't lose weight anymore on high protein, so I only have 1/2 scoop per day now. With a little cream and some cocoa powder and instant coffee, my GOSH it makes a darn good shake!!! Lately, I have been replacing the whey part with 3 raw egg yolks, and it tastes delicious, believe it or not!

If high protein is working well for you (and it might work for me if I weren't so lazy and got to the gym), man, there are some really good whey bar recipes, too.

I haven't ever found a bar that I truly "love" yet. You shake sounds good until you get to the coffee...LOL I have never ever tried coffee but I worked around it so much while I was young that I can't stomach the smell of it. Thank goodness dh doesn't drink it often.

I went back to the gym today. I got it approved thru the Dr. My culture came back good and the stitches are disolved and the incision is healed up. That was some potent antibiotic thats for sure. I did a 20 minute tan and also did 10 minutes on treadmill to warm up and then did a back and shoulder workout. I can tell I haven't been working out in almost two weeks. I have to go backwards on the weights instead of lifting at what I normally do. No worries though, at least I am moving forward in working out.

Wow, Reva, you heal quickly! Antibiotics kill infection, but your body heals itself. Already back to the gym--you are obviously so healthy!!!

Heh, I am not much of a coffee fan. I don't like real coffee, just instant. I'm kind of an outcast in Seattle for that reason. A lady I once knew said I like "church coffee." That cracked me up!

My husband makes fun of my coffee too - he says I make cocoa, not coffee. Well, that would be mocha, sir!

Reva, you are going so good. I know you are glad to be back at the gym. I have never liked ciffee, I bet in all of my 55 yrs I have never drank a whole sup of coffee, I love the smell of it brewing but just can't get past the taste, I got to have my caffeine cold.

Amber where the incision is you can see while tanning. It doesn't even get exposed. It is so hard to explain where it is actually. Thanks for worrying about me. I can't sit here and tell you not to stress my friend because I know how it was for me not to exercise those two weeks. It felt like an eternity before I was able to go back. I listened to everyone and stayed strong. You will too get there. Honestly, in this past week or so that I wasn't able to go to the gym is when I started dropping a few pounds again. Maybe our bodies just need a rest from the workouts. It will give your body time to catch up with everything. You will drop some weight I almost bet ya money on it.

Laura I am right there with ya hun and the caffeine needing to be in cold form. I was a huge pepsi drinker for many many years. I blame it and the sweets on me being so obese.

KT I would choose cocoa over coffee any day too. Yes, thankfully I healed quickly with the antibiotics. I was starting to go stir crazy not working out.

I woke up with a headache and backache. TOM showed his ugly face anyways. I was sure I wouldn't have a period especially this month but was I ever wrong. So, I am hoping tomorrow I see a whoosh. He came right on time on the 28th just like every other month. I would have liked to at least lost 10 pounds this month but I suppose I should be happy with what ever I lose huh!?

I have to really kick it in high gear in April if I want to meet my goal by May 17th. I truly want to be off of my heart medicine and thats a sure way to get it done. I have only lost 11 pounds of it so far. I have another 19 to go before then. I know I can do it if I set my mind to it. I really screwed March up and I don't plan on doing it again. I forgot that I have to have some blood work done so I better get myself to the hospital and get it done.

I don't have any plans today. It is raining and nasty out. I am thinking of just making some chili for the family and laying around and watching movies with dh and Jeriah. I need some serious down time today. I deserve it I think.

Reva yeah I hope you are right I am going to eat about 1200 calories and lots of protein to try to heal and keep the muscle, that is all I can do, I got a thing today they exercise causes swelling and bruising that is why no gym and infection, I have to take 4 antibiotics a day for a week I will get a killer yeast infection I hate antibiotics, but might as well plan for that too, LOL

I have been working out like a mad woman had my last one tonight I was at a new low this morning 232, I so want to see the 20's by the time this is done! I hope they remove like 20 pounds of bat wings, LOL THe bad thing is I wont know how much cause I will be cranked full of IV fluid and swelling, but we will see.

Edens have fun!

Amber you will do fantastic tomorrow!! NO worrying!!!! You got my number if you want to talk or just get plain bored....LOL

Its been a crazy, busy day but nice.

4/1 ~ 275.4

I was up a bit this morning. TOO many peanuts last night!!

Looks like I ended up losing 5 pounds for the month of March. That was very crappy. I plan on pushing myself much much harder this month.

I got in 35 minutes on the elliptical at the gym tonight along with my 20 minutes of complete peace and quiet in the tanning bed.
