Keep working at it Sara slowly. You will get it and then it will become a breeze. I find myself adding more weights each time I do the same machine each week at the gym. I shocked myself Yesterday and did 70 pounds on the Lateral row machine for the back. I started out at 30 pounds when I first started going.

Hi Reva, just popping in to say hey! Hope you aren't getting sick. It's been holy sickdom here at work, everyone has gotten a bad bug or other except me (knocking on wood).
Joined a fitness class that starts at the community college tonight. 15 old nautilus machines I dearly love. LOL
Haven't been able to work out regularly in 2 years, surgeries, injuries etc. I"m limited in what I can still do (rotator injuries, bad knees bad feet), but really need to get back and rebuild some muscle.

Izzy thank you for stopping by. I am all congested this morning and just not feeling up to par. My baby has been sick for a few weeks now and just can't seem to get over it. That nasty junk just keeps going round and round. Hope you stay well with all the sickies at your job.

WTG on joining a fitness class. You will begin rebuilding your muscles in no time. Take small steps and build yourself up. You will then suprise yourself how much you can do.

Sorry sweetie, get plenty of rest. I'm the Germex queen! It's been my constant companion since the sick outbreak at work! LOL That and I've been loading with vitamin C, echinacea and using my neti pot. Can we say "paranoid"? LOL

Looks like the small water gain is gone. I am not sure if its due to the 11 hours of sleep I got last night or what but I am glad its gone. Now, I just wish I would have woke up feeling much better this morning but I didn't. I think I slept with my neck wrong or something because it is hurting this morning.

No matter what I am heading to the gym sometime today. I may not get to go tomorrow so I sure don't want to miss today. At least I am not nauseated like Yesterday so thats a good sign I may be getting over it. Today is a weight day at the gym and I would really had to miss it.

B~ 2 fried eggs in butter, 1 sm. sausage patty

L~ tuna, 1 tbsp mayo

D~ 2 fried chicken legs

I made it to the gym around lunch time and so glad I did. I am feeling much better this afternoon. Now, hubby is sick. He came home from work this morning and could barely hold his head up.

Today was a weight day so I did 10 minutes on the elliptical to warm up and then on to the machines.

4 Sets of 12, 10, 8, 6

Leg press machine 50 pounds

Seated hamstring curl machine 50 pounds

Seated calf machine 15 on each side

Standing glute machine 35 pounds

I am not sure if I trust this reading or not. I have been up pretty much all night with my dh. Since he slept almost all day Yesterday he has been up all night. Since the schools are canceled for today I decided to just stay up and hang out with him. I almost rarely stay up past 10pm........LOL

Its only 5:30 in the morning and I am heading to Walmart to get my shopping done. We have a ton of snow coming this morning and I want to miss as much of it as I can. The roads and sidewalks are pretty covered already. Just north of us they have 10 to 12 inches already.

I already decided that if I don't make it to the gym today for my cardio I will definitely be going Saturday to make up for it. I sure hate the thought of not even making it though.

B~ eggs, sausage and cheese omelet

L~ turkey burger, 1 tbsp lc ketchup

D~ steak, 1 tbsp lc ketchup

At dinner last night I added some broccoli and cheese. It was yummy.

I love going to the store at 0530! Easy parking, short lines.... It's my favorite, even without the threat of snow!

I love to see your scale move (even if you don't trust it!)

have a fabulous day!

Be safe driving in the snow. Do you have workout DVD's you can do at home when the weather is bad?

Casey I hate to drive in the snow. I had two wrecks within 30 minutes apart several years back so I just don't do it much anymore.

They say we already got 6 inches of snow and expected at least another 6 by the evening. When I left for Walmart this moring with dh the ground just started getting covered. When I came out it was a couple inches already. It is coming down hard.

Needless to say no gym for me today.

I do have several workout videos that I can do. I am thinking though that today is just going to be a lazy, relaxing day and I will pick up Saturday at the gym to make five days this week. I do Leslie Sansone workout videos and love them.

BWYA I am starting to think the scale was on the money because I got undressed and back in my jammies when I got home and the scale was only up .2 from when I weighed at 5:30.

Laura my dh is starting to feel a bit better. He has no choice and has to go pull a double this evening and tonight at Walmart 30 minutes from us. Thats what I hate about being a manager. Someones got to work with all the call outs.

Glad hubby is feeling better. School is closed so no workout tonight either. 6 inches of snow and it's still coming down. Boss picked me up to bring me to work.

I thought I'd paste a link below so you can who I am.
The after pic was taken in August 2010 when I weighed 138 (154 now).

Pleased with the number on the scale this morning considering what I ate last night. I ended up snacking on 5 slices of American cheese and 2 slices of lunch meat ham while watching American Idol. Don't ask me why I did it cut I have no excuse. There was no hunger whats so ever. I am guessing I let boredom get the best of me like I used to do before I began my low carb journey this time. I was missing the gym and the fact that I wasn't going to get out in the snow and drive anywhere. I guess it was like a person with no car that has tons of places they need to go but no way to get there. The stress can get the best of you. Then there was me with a van and no way to drive there. I was going nuts feeling cooped up in the house last night and not being able to make it to the gym.

I am sucking it up and getting out to do the things I need to do today. I have bills that need paid and the people don't care if weather is bad or not. The roads are much better than Yesterday so I don't think it will be too bad.

Dh is working another double again today so he is staying with some friends of ours in the town he works in. My step son who gives me heck all the time is up there with his Dad at our friends so I should have some piece and quiet today. I hate feeling that way about him but sometimes a Mom needs a break too.

Going to the gym later today even if I don't get my other stuff accomplished. Today is supposed to be an arms and chest workout both of which I need desperately.

B~ 2 boiled eggs, 1 tbsp mayo/mustard (egg salad)

L~ turkey burger, 1 tbsp lc ketchup

D~ grilled chicken salad with ranch

I love the snow but, I know not everyone likes it. My favorite kind of snow is what sticks to everything except the roads. Making it look like a painted picture. Hope the it didn't keep you from the gym today.

How many calories do you think you consume in one day? Just was wondering because I see that is where I have a down fall. Just to many stinking calories I'm putting in my body.

yes, yes, enquiring minds want to know!

Reva, I am watching your stats and your menu, etc., like a hawk. I don't know that I could eat as little as you do, but it helps to see what is getting you the results you're getting. I like numbers. Do you know that Between 1 Jan and today, you've lost 4.1% of what you weighed on 1 Jan?! That's pretty incredible for just 3 weeks! (I'm a bit behind you at 3.8%, so not too bad.) Over FOUR PERCENT!

That's pretty cool! You are so rockin' your WOE/E!(E/E = Eating/Exercise) I'm so proud of your determination, your hard work and your success that I'm not even envious that you're doing better than I am!

How many calories do you think you consume in one day? Just was wondering because I see that is where I have a down fall. Just to many stinking calories I'm putting in my body.
I honestly haven't checked my calories this go around but I will just for you ladies.

According to ****** I had 1399 calories today.

My menu was switched up a bit. I had 2 regular beef patties from McDonalds for lunch. For dinner I had a turkey burger with 1 tbsp ranch dressing.

Today I did arms and shoulders along with elliptical and treadmill.

10 minutes elliptical
20 minutes on treadmill at 3 with a 2 % incline for 1 mile

4 sets of 12, 10, 8 and 6

Seated shoulder press on bench using dumbbells

Standing hammer curls using dumbbells

Tricep pull down using machine

Overhead extension standing

I am headed back to the gym in the morning since I missed Yesterday due to the weather.
