I am super excited this morning. I am claiming it!!! I know this is how my body works. I remain in a rut for a few weeks. I tend to lose several pounds and then get stuck again around the lower numbers of a level. I am 1 pound away from meeting my December goal. '

Today, also marks 71 pounds down in 3 months and 8 days!!! I am proud of myself.

I am making cookies today for the Christmas parties this week. We made some more sugar cookie cutouts. It was a lot of fun. They just need decorated now. I had zero temptation and didn't even want to lick my fingers like normal.

B~ 2 fried eggs, 1 sm. sausage patty, hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani

L~ hamburger with 1 tbsp lc ketchup

D~ Steak with ranch for dipping

Reva, we learn as we go along. I now know that I can't do pepperoni or most any cured meant, bacon raises my BP but I love it. I sure don't miss having my kids at home especially during vacations or holidays. I do miss the noise sometimes though. Enjoy them while they are home for in just a blink they will be grown and gone.

I know that this is just water weight gain from the nitrates and sodium, it will come right back off, in my case after days. KUTGW I think you are doing amazing!

We have 5 kids at home and the oldest is 17 and the baby is 8 months. I have many years ahead of me with kids at home. LOL I am 38 so I laugh when I tell people I will be a senior citizen and still raising my kids.

I knew better than to eat the pepperoni. I have never had no control over them. My daughter had them out snacking and I just had to try one.

Thankfully my B/P is coming down while losing weight but I will be so glad when I can come off all my meds.

I love the stuff too but it is always the death of me. I am sitting here fighting cravings today and I am thinking the pepperoni is why. Five kids is a lot of work but its worth every minute of it. Its not easy by no means I give you that.

I was hoping the scale would be back down this morning but it didn't happen. I still feel as though I can make my December goal.

I found a small 24/7 gym Yesterday that I am going to join after Christmas. There is no contract and its only $30 a month. The best part is that I don't have to give out my bank account information and that sells the membership right there. I am going to wait till the day after Christmas to join since I know I won't make it there the next three days.

I am headed to do some grocery shopping this morning before we get the nasty weather. My daughter and I plan on making Christmas candy and cookies this afternoon so I need to get all the stuff.

I also need to get a new front tire. I am so thankful I noticed it before I headed off to St. Louis shopping tomorrow.

B~ hot green tea with s/f vanilla torani
S~ chocoloate protein shake with unsweet almond milk
L~ Salmon patty, 1 tbsp mayo/mustard
D~ Salmon patty, 1 tbsp mayo/mustard

I just wanted to say "hello" after having read all 10 pages of your journal. I'm pretty new to the site (but not a complete low carb novice.)

I am the mom of a big family, too. (6 kids, 3 boys, 3 girls, 25 down to 5 and one grandbaby!) I have found much encouragement in both your success and your willingness to share your life here. Thank you.

Hello!!!!

A big family is tuff sometimes but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. My babies range from 2 17 year olds all the way down to a 8 month old.

Thank you for taking the time to read my entire journal. It really keeps me motivated also knowing that I can motivate others as well. Please feel free to stop by and read daily and comment anytime. I hope to get to know you.

Sunday 12/26 ~ 307.4

I am actually pleased with my weigh in this morning. For the last three days I have done nothing but drink diet soda. I probably got in a total of 32 oz water in the three days. I did do quite well on my eating if I must say so myself. I ate so much veggies in dip that I was sure I would even be up from that. I know the water weight will be back off in a day or so.

Tomorrow morning I am planning on going to a new gym to join. It is time to get my arse in gear and get to toning up my body. My bat wings and thighs keep me discouraged with my body and the weight loss so far. I go to a free church gym right now on occasion but I need to commit myself to at least 4 days a week of vigorous exercise.

Today, I am actually getting my house back in order from the holidays. I went shopping this morning and got some great buys. I actually even bought stuff that I will and can use regularly.

B~ canadian bacon, 1 fried egg
S~ ranch dip with raw cauliflower
L~ 2 turkey and cheese roll ups with lettuce, mayo
D~ round steak with broccoli and butter, 1 tbsp lc ketchup

You deserve to be in control of you. It is the greatest feeling I have accomplished so far on this woe this time around. Thanks so much for the compliment. I post almost every single day and would be pleased if you would check in on me often. I love to get support as well as help out in any way I possibly can to a fellow low carber.

I guess I never think of our big family in terms of being tough. I am the oldest of 4, so "more than average" is just normal to me. Of course there are a gazillion loads of laundry and our food budget is pretty steep, but like you, I wouldn't trade it for anything at all. I miss having a baby around. *sniff, sniff*

I'm happy to see you make it through Christmas with a good weigh-in. I'm excited as I look forward to seeing your December goal accomplished!

Thanks for always sharing your menu. It is so helpful to see *how* others are making it work for them.

I hope you had a nice Christmas. My house won't be in order for another 12 days, at least (celebrating the full 12 days of Christmas here.)

Hi Reva. I have really enjoyed reading your journal! I will confess I did not read every page though. I wanted to let you know I am totally rooting for you to make your December goal. But even if you don't drop an ounce in the coming week, you are a SUCCESS!!! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing your journey! It's inspiring.

TOM is going to be poking his ugly self in any day now. I am feeling the cramps coming on. So, I am not in a great mood this morning.

I am heading to the gym to join though. A good friend of mine is going to join with me. It will be awesome to have a workout buddy to go with.

Doggygirl thank you for rooting me on. I would love to make my December goal but if I don't I still feel like I did awesome over the holidays so it will be all worth just even getting close.

BWYA I post my menus for that reason mostly. I also like to have it handy for myself in case I can't decide what I want to eat. I can look back on each day and see what sounds good and even look back on what I was eating on certain days when I was losing well.

B~ Hot green tea with s/f vanilla davnici, salmon patty with mayo/mustard

TOM is due at any moment now. I know this is the extra water weight so I am not going to stress over it.

I finally did it............WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got my butt in gear and joined a real gym and got in my first "true" workout. I know I will be feeling it in the morning but it will be so worth it when the results start showing. The owner was super sweet and helped me thru it. I can't wait until tomorrow to go back.

B~ 2 fried eggs, 1 sm. sausage patty

Yay for joining your gym!

Blech for ToM. Not dealing with that is the only thing I look forward to about menopause. But the price of having no more babies... *sigh* makes me sad (of course, it's been 5 years since my last was born, but I'm ever hopeful... hehehe!) I'm going to have to pay attention to whether or not I retain fluids during that ToM. I've never noticed, but that may explain some of those times when I inexplicably gained a bit here or there when I did this in the past. I can't believe I didn't even think to look for a connection....

I'm sure I'll be around, but just in case: I'm wishing your and yours a happy and blessed new year!

Wishing you a happy and blessed New Years as well!!!

I am looking forward to the day of no more TOM.

TOM still hasn't shown up but I can tell it is at any moment.

I finally joined the real gym and got in my first "true" workout. It was tough but not near as bad as I had expected. My muscles aren't really sore this morning either. I am going back today for another round.

B~ 2 fried eggs, 1 sausage patty

L~ chocolate protein shake

D~ Roast with broccoli, 1 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp ranch

I got a new slow cooker for Christmas that I had been wanting for a while. So, I am trying it out today with a nice fat roast from Sams.

I just had to pat myself on the back today. I made it to the gym for the second day in a row. I did cardio today. I couldn't believe it but I made it a whole 45 minutes on the treadmill. It was such an awesome feeling. I just put on my head phones to some good tunes and started walking. I even used the towel to cover up the time on the machine.

I can't wait to go back tomorrow for weight training.

Arms are a little sore this morning. I guess what I did the first day is catching up with me. Today is another weight day so I guess I will be super sore for a few days. I can handle it though. I want to get toned up and working out is the only way I am willing to do it.

B~ hamburger patty, 1 tbsp lc ketchup
S~ 1 slice of cheese made into cheezits

Worked on the shoulders and back today at the gym. I was a bit worried since my arms were so sore before I went there. I had even debated going today. I am so glad I did now though.

I need to get out the old trusty tape measure so I can have my friend measure me. I want to beable to see the progress that way too. I did it the first time around and was so glad I did. A person doesn't always see a loss on the scale but the way the clothes are fitting says a lot.

TOM has finally arrived. I am actually glad. I have been bloated and miserable for a few days now. Now, to get it over with and onto a whoosh please.

Looks like unless I get a small whoosh by morning I won't have met my December goal of 305. I am not stressed over it because I feel as though my progress this month has over come the scale anyways. Actually joining a real gym and committing myself is a huge step for me.

Now, sometime today I need to get out the tape measure and get to measuring these ugly body parts of mine. I am anxious to see the decrease in inches.

Today is a cardio day at the gym. My muscles aren't as sore as they was Yesterday morning but I bet I will fill it in the morning again. It seems as though it takes two days for my muscles to feel the pain.

B~ 2 scrambled eggs, sm. sausage patty

L~ grilled chicken tenders, 1 tbsp ranch

D~ Not sure just yet

Yesterday was a cardio day at the gym. I went early and got in 30 minutes on the treadmill. TOM had came and I was feeling all yucky and bloated. I am pleased with what I did.

I bought Just Dance 2 for the wii Yesterday. We had a few friends over last night and the kids did it. It looks like a blast so I am planing on doing it today with them. Today and tomorrow are my off days from the gym.

I plan on getting some major cleaning done today and tomorrow. Its almost time for the kids to go back to school from Christmas vacation. I want to enjoy my first few days with peace and not have to worry about busting my butt cleaning.

I also start back to college classes on Monday. I graduate 2/27/11. I can't wait. I am taking three weeks off and then jumping right in with my bachelors. I might as well get it done while the baby is still small.

B~ 2 scrambled eggs, 1 sm. sausage patty

L~ hamburger patty, 1 tbsp lc ketchup

D~ Steak, 1 tbsp lc ketchup
