Had my appt today, and everything looks good. Saw the little heartbeat, and, of course, it made me emotional Even after having kidsbefore, seeing that little heart beating in your new baby, and realizing you have a little life growing in you, it's truly amazing and such a miracle.

He couldn't measure the baby, unfortunately, because the database had some problem with it, but he was guessing based on looking at it, that it is about 7-8 weeks. So I go in again in 3 weeks to get it measured, and my cerclage scheduled. I will have a preventative cerclage done this time around 12-13 weeks. He said that should make things go a lot smoother with this pregnancy. We are crossing our fingers!

I had to look up what a cerclage is... does not sound fun... of course if it will help then it will be worth it

Thanks for the update!

Monet, it is definitely just one this time! LOL!

Mary, I had an emergency cerclage done at 22 weeks last time and was put on strict bedrest afterwards. This time we are doing a preventative cerclage to hopefully prevent any pre-term labor problems like I had with the twins. My Dr said they are usually very successful, so I am happy to be getting one. It is only a 5 minute proceedure, and I can go home the same day, after the spinal wears off. I'm hoping my sister can come visit when I get it done, though, so that she can watch my boys, since my husband will be out of town when it happens.

Krysta, congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

That's fabulous that conception was so easy this time around. I have done anesthesia for cerclage and it's a pretty brief and simple procedure. If you had an epidural or spinal with the twins you know what that part's like.

Hey, Monet! I'm doing pretty good. I have a Dr. Appt. on Thursday to measure the bab and get an exact due date, and so they can know how far along I am so we can schedule my cerclage. I'm thinking I'm 10 going on 11 weeks, but we will know for sure on Thursday. I will let you know how it goes!

Well, at my appt last Thursday, I found out my due date, October 2nd. I am 12 weeks 2 days today. I have another appt. this Thursday where the Dr. will make my orders for the cerclage, which I am having done on April 5th. I am actually looking forward to getting it done, because it should take a lot of worry and stress off the situation. I'm hoping to keep this baby in as long as possible!

Thanks, Jaimie!

Well, I had my cerclage done last Monday, and within two days afterwards was back to normal. I have my next appt next Tuesday, and I am expecting to be scheduled for my Level 2 u/s then. So, I should know what we are having within the next 3-4 weeks!

I will be 16 weeks on Saturday which means I will be 4 months! I can't beleive how fast it is going! Here is a pic from last Saturday:

OK, so I am on Day 1 of induction. Menu for the day so far:

B - 2 eggs w/ cheese

S - cheese stick

L - Roast Beef with sauteed onions, garlic, and a little steak sauce
1 slice Provolone cheese
SF Hawaiian punch mix in 20 oz of water

Dont know what dinner will be yet. Im thinking some salsa chicken and veggies, maybe.

I just keep picturing myself in my mind being thinner, healthier and happier. I know what it feels like because I have been there. That is my motivation for now, until I actually start seeing progress. I am going to take a picture today, too.

So I did end up having salsa chicken last night for dinner, but wasn't in love with the recipe. All it was was salsa and sour cream mixed and poured over chicken and baked, and it was too runny for me. I liked the flavor though, so I'm thinking next time, I will try mixing cream cheese into the sour cream and salsa to give it a little more thickness. I ate that with green beans, and then I had a couple of slices of provolone cheese as a snack after dinner, since I was still hungry. I debated what I should make. I was thinking whipped cream with cocoa, or Pero with cream, but when I was making my husbands lunch for the next day, there were a few slices of cheese left, so I ate those, and surprisingly, that took the edge off my hunger, so I left it at that.

So, yesterday's menu looked like this:

B - 2 eggs with cheese - 3

S - cheese stick - 1

L - about 3/4 c. of roast beef sauteed with onions, garlic and a touch of steak sauce - 1-2
provolone cheese - 1
SF Hawaiian Punch in 20 oz water - 1?

D - Salsa chicken w/cheddar cheese (25 for the entire recipe, and I had probably 1/6th) -5?
Green Beans - (I had a little more than a serving, and a serving was 2, so maybe 3-4)

S - 3 slices of provolone cheese - 3

Plus I had at least 40 more oz of water throughout the day, in addition to the 20 oz with lunch.

Total = 20 carbs at the most, and at least 60 oz of water.

I notice now that i had A LOT of cheese yesterday. I think I will try to watch that. But I did lose 1.8 from yesterday, so not a bad start.

I baked a lb. of bacon this morning to keep in a ziploc bag in the fridge for the week. I'm just hoping my husband doesnt find it and eat it all before I can get to it! I had some of the broken pieces as I was putting it on the plate, and then one whole piece, so I've probably had 2-3 pieces this morning, along with 2 of the hard boiled eggs I boiled yesterday. No cheese yet! I will probably have leftover salsa chicken and beans for lunch, and then I will probably make green bean casserole for dinner. My husband likes that.

I am working on a dinner list, and also a snack/lunch list for me so that I can finally go grocery shopping and stock up to make things easier. Hopefully I can go shopping on Saturday. Until then, I DO have enough to get by until then, but I will be happy to get some of the things that make things easier, like carb countdown!

Also I did take a picture yesterday. UGH. I won't be posting that anywhere until I have lose enough to show a significant difference. But I am still feeling mentally strong, still thinking about how good I will feel, etc. I know it is making a difference this time around.
