Well, nothing really new to report. Just thought I would check in. I can tell the babies are really growing this week. My tummy has been a little sore here and there, like they are really stretching things out! Tomorrow I will be 11weeks...one more week and I'm out of the first trimester! I will really breathe a sigh of relief at that point, because the risk of miscarriage goes down to like 2-5%, or something like that, after the first trimester. Although, I have to say, I really feel like these babies are going to make it. I truly believe God has them in his hands.

Other than that, Will and I are going to Ohio later this week. Its a nine hour drive, so we are going to stay overnight in VA on our way up there to split the trip up, since supposedly I'm supposed to get out and walk a bit every 2 hours or so. We will see how I do. We thought it would just be easier on me to only drive about 4-5 hours per day.

Then NEXT weekend, I am flying to Utah for a week. Hopefully I get an aisle seat on the plane! A few days after I get home from that I have my next Drs appt, and will be hearing my babies heartbeats, as well as seeing them again, Im sure. I will be 14 weeks at that point. So this month is going to be gone before I know it! Crazy how time just flies by...but not fast enough when you are pregnant! LOL

I just want to stop in and congratulate you on the twins! DS and his SO are having identical twins girls due September 14 but we are thinking closer to the end of August. At her first ultrasound she was told she was having boys. We got all excited about having boys. Then she had to have another ultrasound three weeks ago and the tech congratulated her on girls.

She went for a final diagnosis and are working on girls names.
Anyhow, I am both excited and scared for them at the prospect of two babies at once, but I will be a good Nana and provide as much help as I can.

Again, congrats! Twice the Blessings, twice the fun, two little miracles instead of one!

Well, Im back from my trip to Ohio and am now officially in my second trimester! I was twelve weeks yesterday. I am going to Utah this Friday for a week and have my next appt. 3 days after I get home on the 29th. Here is a 12 week pic (not the best picture I've ever taken, but oh well...):

Well, I am back from my trip to Utah and tomorrow I will be 14 weeks exactly. I will take a picture and post it tomorrow. I feel like I have really grown the past two weeks since the last picture, I guess we will see!

I gained a bit of weight while I was on all my vacations. I will find out the official number on Tuesday at my Dr's appointment. I'm actually glad, since I was getting worried that I hadn;t gained ANYTHING in my entire first trimester! ANd now that I am back home and feeling better, I am going to try to eat as healthy as possible, while still getting in enoguh calories. One of the hard things is that Will is gone till the end of August, so when he is gone, I just eat frozen dinners. I dont want to get the Lean Cuisine types, cause of how low the calories are, but at the same time, I dont want to get super high fat/cal ones. I'm not sure what to do...get the low cal ones and supplement with more food, or just eat the higher cal ones and add more veggies/fruit, etc. to make it more healthy? I do seem to eat fairly light during the day...High Fiber cereal for breakfast, or some LC wheat bread w/sf pb and yogurt and fruit, and Lunch is usually some kind of sandwich and fruit and cottage cheese or milk, etc. Then I snack on more fruit and yogurt or whatever. I'm trying to get in more calcium, so I am consciously drinking alot more milk, etc. So maybe a high cal dinner isnt that bad after eating light during the day? Anyway...anybody have any thoughts?

I am also considering quitting my job a little earlier than 28 weeks, which is the longest my Dr said I could work. That would put me at the end of October, but I am thinking now of quitting at the end of September. Will will be on leave and my parents are possibly visiting around the time, plus, I think I just want some time before I get TOO big to get things ready for the babies. I don't have as much energy after I have worked all morning, ya know?

I also think Will and I have decided on a Girl name, FINALLY...Auden Margaret. Now lets hope I have one! Will has been a bit difficult when it comes to girl names, so when he agreed to Auden, I was so happy! Of course, our first pick boy name is still William Ashe, although I am still going to try and get it changed to Ashe William before he is born (if we HAVE a HE!)

So...thats about it, I suppose, at least for tonight. I'm sure I will have more to say tomorrow when I post my picture

I can't believe you haven't gained any weight yet! How lucky you are! As long as you know that you are eating enough then so be it huh? I think it is a good idea for you to quit work early. As much preparation that has to be done for one baby, I can't imagine trying to prepare for two

. You will be very big and pregnant by then. REST, REST, REST is all the advice I can give you for those last few weeks. You won't know how much you miss sleep until you have babies!!! By the way, I just love the names! Auden and Ashe are such cute names for twins. Hey, and if you have two girls you could still keep the names...Ashe short for Ashley? Only a few more weeks and you will now what you are having!! It's so exciting!!!!

I look forward to seeing your new picture. I remember waking up one morning and my belly being twice as big. It is amazing how quickly it can grow.

I'm happy everyone likes the names! I just love Auden. As soon as I saw it, I just kept thinking about it and knew it was a keeper. And I agree, Beth, how much more perfect for boy/girl twins is Ashe and Auden?? Lets just hope its not two girls, otherwise, Im going to have another struggle finding a second name, I'm sure!

Anyway, here are my 14 week pics. I took one in the usual pose to compare with the others, and one that is more straight profile. I will post them both, and then a comparison of my 10 week and 14 week pics:

I'm glad you put the pictures side by side because now I can really see the difference! It is amazing how much you have grown in such a short time. Look at you though.....your legs and booty are still small.

Sue! Hope youre feeling better.

So I'm back from the Doc and YIKES, you guys! In the past five weeks I have gained TEN pounds! Wha??? I'm trying to tell myself that for being in my 15th week, 10 pounds isnt so bad...that's less than a pound a week average, but my gosh! When I stuggle so much to LOSE weight, its HARD to see such a tremendous gain! I'm still freaking out about it a little bit.

Other than that, my Dr's Appt was very minimal. No u/s like I expected, but I did get to hear their whooshing little hearts just beating away! Sigh.

I am scheduled for a Level 2 Ultrasound on the 25th...less than a month from now. We will find out what we are having at that one. And the best part is that Will should be back in time to come to it with me!

Hope youre feeling better. So I'm back from the Doc and YIKES, you guys! In the past five weeks I have gained TEN pounds! Wha??? I'm trying to tell myself that for being in my 15th week, 10 pounds isnt so bad...that's less than a pound a week average, but my gosh! When I stuggle so much to LOSE weight, its HARD to see such a tremendous gain! I'm still freaking out about it a little bit. Other than that, my Dr's Appt was very minimal. No u/s like I expected, but I did get to hear their whooshing little hearts just beating away! Sigh. I am scheduled for a Level 2 Ultrasound on the 25th...less than a month from now. We will find out what we are having at that one. And the best part is that Will should be back in time to come to it with me!
