Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a happy Easter!

I hate to say it, but I had a complete carb-a-thon yesterday! Argh! I had planned ahead that I was going to eat off plan somewhat because we were having a sedar dinner (wine, bread, rice, etc.), but then I used that as an excuse to eat a lot of other carby foods! So... I am doing a STRICT Induction for the next week, through April 1st, and then probably another week beyond that! Anyone want to join me??? I will mostly be eating grilled chicken, tuna, oopsies, salad, broccoli, eggs, and cauliflower. And LOTS of water!!!

The GOOD news is that I finally re-did my measurements, and in about two weeks I've lost just over 9 inches from around different areas of my body!!! Thanks, Monet, for those prayers! I am so glad to finally have a number to look at to see that this is working since the scale is still fluxuating up and down the same few pounds!

Well ladies, to be honest, I thought it would be easy to jump right back on plan... but I have cheated again today. SO, tonight I'm cooking up a bunch of chicken, making a double batch of oopsies, and getting rid of all the carby foods in our house that were here for Easter! To quote one of my favorite movies, "After all, tomorrow is another day!"

I DID go to the gym today though and walked another 3.5 miles... so at least that's something I did right!

Hi again!

Still going strong! I weighed in today at 344.5 , BUT I'm just back into moderate ketosis... so I'm hoping actually staying ON PLAN this weekend will get me back down a couple of pounds and set me up to continue losing next week!

Today's Menu:
B- turkey on oopsies (4)
L- grilled chicken, diet root beer (2)
D- steak and broccoli/cauliflower mix (6)
S- CO bark (2)
TOTAL = 14 carbs/8 glasses of water
(walking a few miles at the gym later)

I think hubby and I are going to skip going to the bar with friends tonight because we've got some things to get done at home and a very busy weekend, so that's one temptation out of the way!

Thanks, Nic! I do need to remember that I am moving the right direction!

Last night my hubby and I ended up going to a dinner we'd forgotten about (!) at my brother and sister-in-law's house. My brother lost a lot of weight eating low carb quite a few years ago and so he's very supportive. He served pulled pork and cabbage... YUM!

Today's Menu:
B- eggs, sausage, coffee w/cream (5)
L- turkey on oopsies (4)
D- eating out somewhere with in-laws... so either a salad or thai something OP, depending on where we go???
TOTAL = 9+dinner/8 glasses of water
(cleaning our place like crazy!)

Hi there, Monet! Glad to hear from you... and I hope that your cleaning and sorting is going well! My hubby and I cleaned our place on Saturday and it feels so much better to come home to!! I also realized I'm a bit of a hoarder of mail and bags (grocery bags, department store bags, etc)!? So... we organized a bit too and shredded TONS of old mail! The next thing we want to conquor is our closet... and then I think I'll be getting rid of a BUNCH of clothes that I don't wear too!

Where are you and your DH going on your vacation? Wherever it is, I hope that you have an amazing time!

Today's Menu:
B- turkey on oopsies (4)
L-grilled chicken, olives (5)
S- diet pop (0)
D- cobb salad (6)
TOTAL=15 carbs/8 glasses of water
(walking at gym later)

Oh, by the way, the bridesmaid dress that I need to fit into for my friend's wedding in May came in today... so I'm going to go pick it up probably tomorrow! It was VERY snug when I tried it on before, so it will be interesting to see how it fits now (but also a bit nerve wracking!).

Just got back from the gym. I walked 3 miles, ranging between a zero incline and a 6... my regular routine.

BUT, I also found some flavored cashews at Trader Joes (Thai Lime!) and had about an ounce, for an additional 6 carbs in today's total! YUM-MY though... and not strict induction, but not off plan either!

Ahhh, gotchya about the vacation plans... yeah, the funny thing is that's sort of what my schedule looks like for next week too! I have the week off (paid... woo-hoo!), but my hubby's working, so I'm planning to sort through our closet and get rid of a bunch of clothes to donate... and maybe work on a few other projects too!

GOOD NEWS!!! I picked up my bridesmaid dress and tried it on... and it FITS!!! It's still a BIT snug in some bulkier areas, but I would be OK if I HAD to wear it tomorrow. And, since I still have six weeks until the wedding, I have time to "slim down" into it a bit more! I actually had my hubby take a couple pictures, which I'll try to post tomorrow... that way I can have a before/after for the next 6 weeks!

Oh, also, talk about TEMPTATION! DH and I are in charge of purchasing all of the desserts for an event at our church on Saturday... so right now our kitchen table is piled high with cakes, cookies and muffins! ARGH!!! I KNOW they're not worth it, but that frosting is calling my name. I think I'll allow myself ONE bight of frosting on Saturday night just so I can stop obsessing over it!

Ok, so here they are... like I said, nothing too amazing (I'm just glad it fits)... but I'm hoping to see a big difference when I wear this for the wedding in 6 weeks.

And ugh... I need to take some time away from walking to work on my upper arms!!!

Fridays are my official weigh in day because of a challenge that I'm in... and today I'm down 2.5 lbs to 342.0! I'm so glad it's a loss, but I have to admit that I've continued to be so good at staying on plan and excercising that I would really love to see a whoosh! One step at a time... there's not much more that I think I can do to speed up this process. I'm still watching my sodium (cut out pepperoni, changed all seasonings to Mrs. Dash, etc.), not having lc tortillas, drinking my water goal every day, not having more than 3 ounces of cheese or cream/day, working out about 5 days/week... what else is there!? SO, I guess that means I just need to have patience and wait to see the rewards!

Good luck to all of you on this journey!

Today's Menu:
B- turkey on oopsies (4)
L- grilled chicken (2)
S- sf jello w/cream (2)
D- something OP at The Cheesecake Factory???
TOTAL=8+dinner/8 glasses of water
(maybe walking to park later... but gross weather here!)

Heather,
You are doing so well! I love your attitude friend. It is a journey, not a race. I recently posted in my journal that I have a goal of 150 by June 20, but I will be happy even if I fall short because ANY LOSS is better than where I am now.

The dress is very pretty and so are you!

Peace
