My Ongoing Journey to Hawtness!

Here I go again, another attempt to journal my way to hawtness!!! I stopped journaling due to the fact that I wasn't on plan and just some things bothering me. All those months of not losing and bottled up stress just got to me, but I'm over all that. During these months I forgot the most important thing..............ME!!!!! I'll be doing something for ME - EVERY SINGLE DAY!!

Some of you know that I kinda switched things around the end of June to get to 149 for my cousin's wedding! I did it and once I stopped I gained a drastic amount of weight about 10 pounds!!! I was pretty much doing Atkins when I said screw it (again ), I gained even more weight (again). The good thing or so I thought was I got my butt and boobies back (well sorta- amazing what a good bra will do ). But when my favorite black pants started to get tight I decided to take a chance and switched plans.

I started doing the South Beach Diet. I've been doing it for a bit over a month. Eating things that I like and feeling energetic. I feel like me again and it's a great feeling!!!!! I still use some of the things I learned on Atkins and incorporate them on this plan. Now the losses are slower than when I was on Atkins, but I did lose what I gained after I went nuts! Now I just gotta get back to the dreaded 150s (lose the gained again 10lbs) and hopefully the 140s and then to goal after that. So I'm warning you the 150s were h3ll for me the first round and probably will be again.

Funny how the people who hadn't seen me since my cousin's wedding (July) don't know that I have gained all this weight and commented on how slim and younger I look. HUH?!?!?! Maybe the weight is more evenly distributed? I dunno , but thanks, I'll take it!

Right now, weight loss for me is MENTAL!!! more than bad habits or external influences, so that being said, I thought I'd change my way of thinking with a little outside help.

There are 8 weeks left of the year and I want to make the most of them. Last night I went to Borders and got a CD set of subliminal messages and hypnosis for weight loss - Kelly Howell. I'm trying these until Santa brings me the Tom Nicoli ones.

I already started to do positive affirmations because I know they work and joined a site (it's in spanish) but I'll happily traslate some things and share. Funny thing when I opened the CDs today - here is what I read, " With a shift in attitude you can begin a total transformation that will help you lose all the weight you want and keep it lost. The key to this transformation lies within your mind"

Don't I know it!

Anyway that's all for now!

You know you love me,

ScarletBlonde

P.S. I'm just kidding about the you know you love me. I'm on a Gossip Girl kick and everytime I read that, it makes me laugh. (It's a TV show based on some best selling books - a bit teenagerish, but cute )

I'm so glad you did! I went a bit overboard with my starches today, but I'll do better tomorrow.

I think I got most of my temptations out of the house today so tomorrow is a brand new day.

Dinner:

Oven fried/baked chicken and sweet potato fries. (thery are gone so no more temptations)

Dessert:

Baked Apple

It started to rain and is a bit cold ( well, cold for me) and I might have some coffee later while I sit back and read a bit and watch some TV.

I'm off to wash my hair and take a bubble bath.

If I get another chance I'll be back.

You know you love me. (YKYLM)

HAH! Here I am crackin' up again. I'm going to put that in my siggy, just to have a good laugh daily. I imagine some days, I'm really going to need it.

I got off to a late start today. I forgot that my cell phone was on Eastern Standard Time instead of Atlantic. So I woke up really late and although we rushed through we only left the house 10 minutes later than normal. But traffic was a killer and I arrived ½ hour late to work. That always throws me off.

Anyway – a bit of a slow day, so when it’s slow I’m supposed to be filing and organizing files – getting ready for year-end. I want to have it fully ready before December 28. So I have a bit over a month to get everything in its place.

Today I had so far:

B - coffee and pumpkin muffins.
S – string cheese
L - tuna w/ a tad of mayo and whole wheat crackers (this wasn’t planned, but I had to because veggies were awful this week)

Sorry about the time!
I had to remember to call my phone to have the time reset on it.
Good luck with the files!

I'm taking it easy though.

Tell me something good I can make with ground beef that isn't chili or burgers. I still have to finish planning some menus and I'm stuck on this.

That's what I thought, but the teen terrors don't like peppers. I made meatloaf last week. I guess stuffed burgers then. I haven't made those in a while.

I'll make some stuffed peppers for me, next week, thanks for the reminder.

Leela wanted tacos, so I'm having a taco salad. But there's not enough for lunch tomorrow so I might take the turkey burgers I was gonna have for dinner and take them for lunch.

Turkey burgers make me think of Holly. I hope she's doing alright.

Yes I did, tell her thanks.

I know Holly has no net until next year and Mel - I'm really hoping will be back next week. After Friday, I'm gonna hunt her down.

Yeah, me too!

Work will be today. Boss will be here pretty much all day and since I have some payroll tables to do I "might" be able to sneak in here once in a while.

I had a good night, watched some TV and listened to the hypnosis CD. I really did relax and wake when I was supposed to.

So far today:

B- coffee and 2 pumpkin muffins.

So far they are. I want to get more, but little by little.

I think TOM is approaching and I feel the need of more carby foods. All on plan. I was a bit short on cash this week for groceries so I made the best choices that I could. And the veggies that I like looked gross. *sigh*

<---- not too creative this week. But changing that attitude into I'm having simple healthy foods.

I keep forgetting that I have this journal so I’ve been bad about posting my menus. I’ll try to do better.

Ok, I weighed myself this morning although I feel heavy and bloated. I haven’t gained anything even with the carb fest. I haven't lost a thing either, but all in all that’s good. No whole wheat anything for me for the next couple of days to see if that is contributing to the bloat or if it’s just TOM creeping in.

So far today:
B- coffee and 2 pumpkin muffins
S- blueberry yogurt
L- turkey burgers w/ cheese and pickles

S- sliced pear w/ string cheese - gotta have that that fruit with protein.

I think I'll be doing some cleaning and cooking some things, but we'll see because I just heard there ia MAJOR traffic on the route I take home.

No traffic actually got home about 15 min. early. Did laundry, cleaned kitchen, cooked and have some beef in the crock pot right now.

D- tilapia with a mojito made from onions, garlic and roasted peppers. Yummy.

Drinking some coffee to help settle some cramps.

Exercises on the exercise ball, but not much (not feeling well).

Will listen to one of the CDs before bed.

Gossip girl starts in a few.

I don't know why, but talking to my co-worker has me all worried and worked up. Just some changes that have to be made within the company. No biggie really, but sometimes change can be worrisome or even scary. I was really enjoying how laid back everything is here and now it's starting not to be and I'm not sure I enjoy that. How can I change that to be positive? Just keep my attitude positive and chin up? I got nothing to lose.
