The Journald Journey of Coriander

I can't say how I am going to fix my broken body but I am never going to stop trying to fix it.

I am not burning energy the way most people burn energy.

I am embracing the things that done consistantly should
make me physically fit.

The question was lurking around ???could I even lose weight???

I am a reverse gastric bypass statistic.
I lived with a stapled stomach from 1979 to 1997.
When stapled in 1997 I weighed 327
I got to 184 my lowest weight.
It all failed...I was reversed and weighed 452 April 9 2007
I weighed 388 this morning after six months of LC and serious portion control and whatever moving underwater I can do before imflammation sets in.

Living with a Gastric By-pass in those years was not the same as it is now in 2007.

They were pretty much experimental in 1979 and I had some unfortunate happenings that slam dunk caused my attempt at it to fail. I consider it was a failure for me. I don't even think medcal science learned anything at all either bcause no one followed up so there is my reason to think it was done for the medical business reason of profit.

I did it to see if once and for all I could manage my lifelong battle with weight and I have not as yet fully done that and I am 61 so now I have a real battle on my hands.

Some of my challenges are skeletal problems with arthritis joint pain that make moving under water my only option at present prediabetes(hoping to move enough in the pool to keep it well under control), menopause...I'm over it for the most part but menopause does make weightloss harder.

The question can I with these problems lose weight has been answered...yes and I have lost 64 lbs to date.

I will post more now about how to get myself past a standstill I am in at present BBL

Ah-h-h help is on the way...

Jonathan, my son and first born has sold his house in Henderson, Nevada which with the stressed real estate market took him since February and when he bought it in 2004 houses were selling in a week some in three days where he lives.

Things will be like this till at least 6 months after the election.

We talked by phone yesterday...he will fly to Tampa on Nov 5...this is great
because he will come here for five weeks and coach me and usually that results in more weightloss. He is fun too!

I do better when he is here I always do better working with others no matter what I put my hand to. It is just the way it is

That made me happy because I want to lose 20 lbs before we fly to RI on the 9th of Dec for our Christmas Family Gathering.

We will see...BBT

BTW I intend to stay on plan during Thanksgiving I will make everything LC
stuffing and Pumpkin Pie w Almond flour crust m-m-m

Good idea to re-evaluate your foods...see if there are hidden carbs

I did this one week too, I fitdayed everything so it was easy for me to look back at the week that I lost 7 pounds and eat everything the same way, it never proved to be a 7 pound week again, but it was always a good jumpstart when I was losing slow.

Well I am not the ones you asked but I have always stayed between 20-30 my cheats have always been too many Tomatos etc LOL

Carol that is great about your Son coming to visit you will have your own personal Trainer. We will have to get together sometime for water exercise.

I drink a lot of water I have always followed the half your weight rule one of the best things I did was buy a water cooler now I always have cold water whenever I want it.

My carbs are usually around 20.
I am trying to up the carbs by eating more veggies though.

During the week I drink easily 120 oz/day. Weekends are usually a bit harder to get water in. During the week I have started replacing my afternoon pop with a Crystal light water. I do drink Diet Rite, but I do get my water in. I also drink green tea.

Remember, the everybody is different. Dr. Oz (while I don't follow his plan exactly) says if you can read through your pee you are well hyrdrated. If you eat foods with a lot of sodium you will want to drink more water to flush retention out.

Have you re-examined the foods you are eating? Are you eating enough?

We will have to get together sometime for water exercise. mmm I would love too maybe we could find a halfway meeting place where there is a warm pool cause mine is 79 degrees and I haven't been able to use it.

Tim and I are trying to figure in a heat pump with a HQ line we are getting for the new rood so we will see? $ 2000.

Terrific Thanks!

I will post later to you where half way is between where we live and maybe we can meet sometime? If you are up to thr drive...too much time in the car is making my legs swell how about you?
I did just look on the google map half way is St Pete Beach or St Petersburg...is that too far for you to travel? I have a problem with leg cramps but I could try it once and see how i tolerate it?

Let me know what you think?

It is interesting you ask am I eating enough because I think I am not but as soon as I add a little more meat or 1/2 slice Ezekiel bread I gain and fit day and another figure your cals website tells me to eat 3500cals...I cannot eat that much I just know I will start to gain weight.

Do you think I can eat what they are telling me to eat?
I don't think so but wish I could.

This weightloss journey is going to be slow from here on
This time I have come to the conclusion and accepted to stay on plan rest of my life.

I lost one lb this week I weigh 383 on 11/15/2007
I have lost 69 lbs to date...to reach my original goal of losing 100 lbs by "Easter 2008"
I need to lose 31 more lbs in the next 18 weeks

I ate modestly on Easter 2007 and started this journey on April 9 2007 on Easter Monday so Easter will always be my Anniversary

It's interesting that Easter is the day we Celebrate the "Resurrection of Jesus" and
Every Easter I will celebrate my ressurection...
I did not plan it this way...it is a comforting thought though every lb I lose
I feel more alive to a normal life as
I continue on to reach my goal of being
comfortable in onederland by the 4th of April 2010

These are the next three Easters:

2007 - Sunday, April 8th Start 4/9
2008 - Sunday, March 23rd
2009 - Sunday, April 12th
2010 - Sunday, April 4th

"Whatever it takes...be true to myself"
