Hello All!!

I'm getting ready for work so I'll make this short until I get to the office.

Sue, I haven't used cream this week, except for last night. I saw those desserts in my fridge and said no! Instead, I made myself a cup of coffee and added some cream to it for a treat.

So my weight yesterday was at 207, yeah I know!! This morning I back at 205. It's probably water because I drank alot of it, but that's okay. It's something.

So this morning I had cream in my coffee and totally forgot not to add it!
I'll just drink tons of water again.

So my menu looks like this:

B- 3 hb eggs, coffee w/ cream sf Davinic, 1 splenda packet
L- 3 slices of thick low-sodium turkey breast, 2 slices of low-sodium roast beef, all Boars Head brand, cottage cheese,
S- turkey slices
D- left over Cola Chicken, cottage cheese

With what I eat, makes me full believe it or not, plus all the water I drink too.

Hi Christina!
Glad to see you hear and thank you for sharing your story! I hope you and Brandon get to feeling better today! Eating will totally help get your strength back.
Focus on getting well, then you can focus on losing again. We'll all do this together!!!

Well time to dry my hair and get dressed! But I'll be back!

Love Ya Ladies!!!

Good morning, Diana!

Your menu looks so great!

I know what you are going through with the desserts in the fridge. When it is too much for me, I send the goodies to work with DH to put in the breakroom! That way I figure it is out of my reach, but it is not going to waste. The people at his office are like vultures! (Plus, it gets him some extra points with the boss if he happens to be hungry!)

5 pounds away from One-derland, girl! That is nothing! You are SO there!

Good job resisting those desserts, Diana. Drinking coffee instead is a great idea. That's what I'm doing now because I wanted a snack.

Yes, Diana, only 5 pounds. Drink you water, eat your Stillmans and you'll be there soon.

Thank you Sue for the encouraging words!!! I really appreciate them and really see how much you care!

I know, I'm only 5lbs away! I just don't know why I can't get the drive to want to lose to get to onederland. It's like I'm there, but something is holding me back. Like in a dream, where you're running, but not going any where.

I have been stressed out today at work and I wanted to eat something. At first I resisted, then I just totally gave in and ate some peanuts. I don't feel bad, but just should know better than to do that.

So I will continue on and let that go!

Thanks Sue!!!

I understand completely! I'm in the same place right now, which is why I feel a little guilty about the whole A72 challenge. I can't get myself together and don't think I can lead that challenge anymore. Would you like to?

Well, snacking on peanuts is so much better than sugar or chips, so I think you did good. Glad you're not beating yourself up over it.

I know we're going to get to goal, Diana. It's just going to take some extra hard work on our parts. Sure glad we have each other to get through this.

Hi Sue don't worry about a thing at A72! I can do that until you get back on your feet with this. I believe you'll be okay!!

I thought about the whole guilt thing with me, and maybe this will help you too.
I used to feel guilty about cheating or eating something off plan, but then I thought about it and I realized that if my body was craving it, just have it. For some reason our body needs. I'm talking about any type of food.

I know with me that after I have that food, I'm okay and I don't want it again. So the longer I put off that desire to eat the illegal food, the more I'm going to want it and the more I'm going to eat it.

Does that make sense!

Then I don't have a problem going back to lc, because I've had my food, I'm happy and that's the end of that!

I know this may sound like an oxymoron, but it helps me get through this and helps me not to feel guility.
Feeling guilty will only make me eat more because not only am I an emotional eater, but a stressful eater too!

The peanuts I ate yesterday are there in front of me, but right now, I don't feel like eating any.
Last night, I had 2 big mugs of flavored coffee and I didn't feel bad, but I felt bloated after drinking them and now I'm not going to do that again because I'll just think about how I felt. Although it was good, it's out of my system and I don't want to feel bloated.

Anyway, I'm done, , I guess I just needed to let that out for myself as well!

WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

Hi to all you Lovely Ladies!!!!

I wish I were more like you. When I cheat, I don't feel satisfied, I just want more and then all I can think about is food. That's how I was yesterday. Maybe it's all in the attitude? I get mad at myself when I cheat, then think "what's the use?" and give up for the day. You seem to be able to handle food better than I do.

Thanks for taking the A72 thread. It's not that I don't want to post there, but right now I don't feel like I can be a leader when I'm struggling so and can't even do A72.

Hi Ladies! It's Friday! It seems to get here faster doesn't it?

Well, I'm doing fine, still on plan and no melt downs. . .yet!

I'm at the same weight I was at when I threw my younger sister a b-day party. Now it's my other sisters b-day and I'm throwing her a party too. So, I plan on staying on plan and not sabatoge my goal of getting under 200!

So I'll just have to plan accordingly. We usually always make lc foods anyway, but it's the wine I have a problem with. I like red wine and I won't drink it, if I don't buy it. So I won't buy it!!

I hope you all are having a great day today, and I hope WE all try to stay on plan, but if WE don't for some reason, please don't beat yourself up or feel guilty about it. Let's just let it go and move on. It doesn't do our body and mind any good to hold on to that.

We are going to lose weight!!

LET'S KICK SOME BODY FAT!!!! WHOOHOO!!!!

You are a party girl.

Have a good time planning/having the party. Maybe you can use up that left over dessert on guests.

I've got left over banana cake I could probably use up! Hmmm, and make a trifle.
You know Sue, kevinpa has a wonderful low carb chocolate pudding recipe that is low in carbs! It's so good. I used that for my other sisters trifle.

The one who's b-day is tomorrow wants a german chococlate flavor, do you have any suggestions as how I can get that flavor on a banana cake?

I haven't ever had banana flavored german chocolate cake!

Could be good though. Banana and coconut go well together. It might be more of a tropical flavor. I'd probably just add some coconut extract and shredded coconut (sprouts has a great "no sugar" flaked one!) to the pudding recipe, and then maybe top with some chopped pecans.

Hope everything goes according to plan! 202 is awesome! No glass of red wine could feel as good as that does!

Hi Deb!
I decided to make a lc chocolate mayo cake and add the unsweetened coconut, which I will get at Sprouts!!! Then add some pecans and cream cheese frosting, if I decide to make it a cake, but I think I'll make it a trifle.
Then I'm making a lc carrot cake. I hope it tastes good! Its from KevinPa's recipe.

No wine, No whine!!!

Have a wonderful evening Deb!!

Hope the bday party turns out well. i am so envious that you can make low carb goodies for special events like theese. I always go off plan during bday parties or holidays. I made some low carb peanut butter fudge, that came out really good, portion control is an issue. Have a good night!

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you all have a blessed day! I'm going to need all the grace I can get because I'll be trying to get things together for my sisters' birthday!

I made the chocolate mayo bundt cake, but in 9 in round cake pans instead. They turned out pretty nice. I'll know how it tastes when I have them frosted or made into a trifle.

Hi Jennifer, I have always baked even before low carb, so when I started lc-ing, I knew that I was going to have to search for recipes that I could eat. Thank God, there are sites along with this one that have tons of lc recipes.

Plus, I love to bake too!
Have a wonderful day Jennifer!!!

Hi Sue, Deb, Christina and Jaimie!!

Hi Sweet Diana!

YUMMMM!!! Just reading about your delicious cake is making my mouth water.
You are such a great sister I always wish I had a sister! I am really enjoying a little taste of it now that my DD is growing up. But I am still Mom, not a sis.

Thanks for coming by my journal to check up on me. I have posted my saga over there, no need to bore you here!

Hugs honey,

I need to say something!

I made a comment about Kevin's lc carrot cake and that it was bad. Well what I said was an awful thing for me to say and I'm apologizing for it. It was totally wrong of me to say that anyway.

I misread the recipe. It did not take vital wheat gluten, it took wheat protein isolate 5000. I don't know whay I thought it was the other, but it wasn't. It wasn't right what I said, so I'm going to make the cake again because I have all the ingredients and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Just wanted to let you all know this!

Hello Everyone!!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I had a pretty good one.

Celebrated my sisters birthday and had some good food. We Karaoke'd and danced around, sat outdoors and just had a good time. The weather was perfect!

I made a chocolate mayo cake, which turned out a little dry, I threw it away because it wasn't going to get eaten.

So I have tons of cream cheese and I'm thinking of doing a cheesecake with it. I would like to make a lemon flavor, so I'll have to check out some recipes.

As for me, I'm going to do Atkins induction, because I really need my vegetables. I hope I can still lose by adding them. I'll just stay hopefull about it!!

I hope everyone is doing well, I'm off to visit!

Talk to you all later!!!
