Hi Jan. As I read through your journal I'm struck with so many "me too" moments that I wanted to be sure to drop you a note of encouragement. Your menus seem right on point to make your LC lifestyle a success. Happy early anniversary. My husband and I will celebrate 19 years together in December and we have an 8 year old son and a soon to be 15 year old son - so I'm a year behind you in many respects.

I hope the weekend went well for you. My first induction week ends tonight - it's all going well, thanks to the support I'm getting here and from my family. I still haven't found the One Minute Muffin recipe everyone seems to rely on for quick breakfasts - but I'm sure it's around here somewhere.

Diana,
I did a search for the 1 minute muffin.
You either love it or hate it.
1 Minute Muffin
1/4 cup [COLOR=#0000ff]Flax Meal[/COLOR]
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 packet [COLOR=#0000ff]Splenda[/COLOR]
1 teaspoon Cinamon
1 Egg
1-2 teaspoons Butter

1.5 Carbs

Mix the dry ingredients in a large coffe cup. Add egg and butter; mix well. Microwave for 50-seconds to 1-minute. [COLOR=#000000]Muffin pops right out.

I love it with my tweaks, did not like the orginal version as above.[/COLOR]
I add extra splenda pack, sugarfree cocoa, and some SF chocolate chips in the center.

Congrats on you anniversary!!! No matter what year it is, an anniversary is a great milestone. It's been some years for me but I can remember when and just because I do remember I am happy for your making it another year!!! Congrats and hope the next 50+ years are just as new as the past have been for you and yours. Keep it up girlie.

I am seriously thinking about the t-tapp DVDs as well. You are going to do great with it because you have awesome determination . Don't sweat it.

Hmmm... microwave and muffin doesn't seem to go together to me

I'll have to get myself some flax meal (doesn't sound appetizing) and try it out. I love the idea that it all backs up in one cup - cool. I'll let you know how if it works for me.

Trying a Different Approach

Today I am trying the CAD diet for the week. If I'm successful I will stay on it a little while longer.
Todays menu
B- Saugage coffee with cream (no splenda)
L- Grilled Chicken Salad with ranch, water
D- Anything I want Must be consumed in one Hour (nothing after that hour)
S- black Coffee Water, Water, Water.

I will see how this goes. Will update tonight.
I hope this goes well. I'm use to snacks anytime I want them.

Be gently with yourself. Losing weight boils down to 2 things and 2 things olny no matter what you eat...

Calories IN vs.Calories OUT

There are some nuances but for the most part that's the formula.

Ate my RM meal and feel much better.
RM- grilled chicken, baked beans, had some cereal also.
Refused to drink diet soda so I had water.
I will not eat anything else tonight. Maybe drink some tea w/o splenda tonight if get a little hungry.
Control what goes in my mouth is the key.
