Good morning Lady!!

How's it going? I missed you on yesterday!! You are soooo disciplined. I'm going to be making the LC pizza tonight. Wednesday I "lurked" the recipe room and found a recipe for Gooey Mexican Hamburger Casserole and .................................................. ...... it was so good. Have you tried that? Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you today. Have a great day!! Did your mom make it to her appointment on time?

Tamekia, I did not try it yet but after seeing it on your menu I went to the recipe room and copied it.
I'm glad to hear that it was good.
I'm doing great. I walked about 2.5 miles according to the pedometer I was wearing yesterday.
I have not lost any more weight but my stomach looks and feel much slimmer.

This time around I am not going to obsess with weight loss. I feel that with a positive attitude, eating the correct way and exercise the weight will come off. It's alright with me if it's slow or fast as long as I'm doing positive things not negative to improve my body.
Talk later,
Janice

In Agreement

You are doing great Janice!!!
Just seeing the abs getting slimmer is enough for anyone to shout for joy. I'm shouting for you!!
I've been wearing a pedometer and check it all day. When it's not reading what I think it shoud, I take the stairs instead of the elevator.

I agree with you about the weight loss. I was wondering about my protein shakes and ,my weight loss also. I even questioned my pysician and nutritionist about it and they assured me that I was geting all of the necessary nutrition needed and coupled with a healthy sensible eating plan, the pace of my weight loss is fine and that I should be able to maintain with a sensible eating plan. It is totally up to me. The protein shakes really fill me and suppress my appetite. When I go overboard it is totally because the food is there, not because I am hungry. Although I have recently had slip ups, I am still obsessed with my eating. I have been noticing how I've been checking out the labels for the carb amount in my food. The obsession has paid off pretty well. All in all my changes have been positive and even when I fall, the positive part about the fall is that I realize what I've done to fall. I've noticed that about all of my lowcarbfriends. We all know when we have fallen. As a matter of fact, we notice it before we fall yet we do it anyway BUT we call it out and keep going.

I totally agree!!!!

I'm trying to stay focused on "other" things (like Jesus!). I know with His "strength" I can do this. I failed on my own. I'm seeking Him first and allowing Him to change my way of thinking and eating.

Please pray for me.

Thank you

Tamekia,
I have these shakes at home. I Sell Arbonne products and the have the figure 8 products.
I really don't like them very much. I stick with designer whey or Syntrax Nectar. Both are great.
But some of my friends love figure 8.

I'm feeling great today!
Did my fall cleaning and I'm a little tired but feeling good about everything.
I made a low carb brownie this evening and it was okay. Not great but I know I can tweak it to fit my taste. This fall I am not going to sit around while everyone else enjoy something sweet. I will have my secret weapon ready and available.
Menu for today
B- 1 egg, sausage pattie 1
L- sausage pattie diet pepsis
D- chicken tenders battered with carbquick deep fried.
salad, diet cola
S- lc brownie coffee
Talk later

hey Beautifulme,
How are you?
When will the 100 days end? I want to keep an accurate date so we both can weigh in the same date.
RECIPES & REVIEWS I got the Low carb brownie from this site on LCF.

I will not make this recipe again or if I do I will omit the egg from the cream cheese topping. I thought it would me creamier but it was eggy.
Alot of these recipes you find on this site you have to tweak for your taste. Do a search and there are alot of brownie recipes easier than this one.
Dixie Diner and Big train makes brownie mix also.

Having said all that I did cut them up and placed in freezer for a night I might crave something sweet. They are pretty good but could have been better.

Hi Jan,

Just stopping by to say hello. I have done CAD and loved it. I just felt guilty with the reward meal and wasn't eating healthy things at that meal. My sister lost a ton of weight and got to her lowest. I do remember one tip that helped her with CAD, that I try to use in Atkins -- no tomatoes -- I really notice a difference for me. But everyone is different.

Have a great day.

Hello Janice- I said I'd look at your diary and I am so glad I did.
You are doing fabulously well!
I completely agree with your policy about eating an LC REPLACEMENT cookie or dessert and not denying yourself. That has been what I have done all week- eating a lot of high but healthy fat foods and feeling indulgent rather than on a horrible stringent plan.
Nursing is a wonderful profession and I really admire you for it.I cannot express how important I believe it to be and when a nurse is kind, you never forget it.I wish you so well.
By the way your almond biscuits sound lovely!
I tried a plan that I made up myself which was basically kimkins- no fat- sometimes I WOULD EAT,2 EGGS, a can of tuna, a chicken breast- and that was it! I would lose so quickly ( i WAS 115LBS) and felt suicidally miserable....Crying and unable to exercise- but not hungry just weak, weak and depressed..so this time no quick fixes..borrring!
Anyway- lovely to see your journey here and do check in on my diary too! Harri!

Harasted,
I have never been 115 (maybe when I was very very young) but I got down to about 168 doing Kimkins, I ate 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, Plain tuna for lunch, and grilled chicken 1 or 2 tenders with one cup of green beans. I felt terrible, but no appetite was always nauseated. Then I gained and now it's harder to lose, I sometimes think I have messed up my metabolism.
I'm glad I can repair it.
Thanks for dropping in
Janice

Hey all,
I'm back, sure missed all of you. I did not do well at all this past week.
This morning I'm still not back on track. I ATE CEREAL!!!.
Lord give me strength. I am paying for everything I ate last week. I am bloated. Yesterday at church my blouse was tight, buttons pulling. I am so disappointed in myself. This morning my pants felt tighter. It's funny how you can go off plan and wow, blow up!!!!. It's not funny but I have to laugh instead of crying.
You know the worse thing about this situation. I went to a health conference. Everybody ate more cookies, cake, candy, and other carbs than they would normally eat because you were stuck in meetings and the food was there.
The talked about obesity crisis in children, and adolescent and the diabetes crisis also.
I'll talk later

Please Don't

Jan,
Your post was toooo funny. Why was it so funny? Because I can testify to the popping open buttons and the so tight pants that leaves the print on your stiomach!! I can testify to it all. It's just hilarious hearing someone esle adnmit it. Please don't be soooo hard on yourself. I won't even begin to tell you how my week went last week (finishing last minute details for the wedding). There isn't even a word to desrcitbe how I feel (bust -up, bloated, etc.). I did not even want to go on the scale. But remember, the first step to getting back on track is RECOGNIZING the error and then correcting it. So you're half of the way there and I am also.

Today is a new and great day andwe WILL do better starting NOW (at least after I finish this biscuit w/ jam).
