SinKittyKins journey

Hello. My name is Kasey. I have 4 children and I live in CT. I have 2 boys David and Kevin..12 and 11 and two daughters, Kaila and Isabella. 8 and 11 months.Isabella was born at 24 weeks instead of the normal 40. (She was a twin) And since then I stay home.I used to be an optician.. She spent 7.5 months in the hospital. So thats my basic bio.

I started lowcarbing early June.Ive lost 45lbs. My current weight is 211. Ive had my days..lol. My basis is on Kimkins. But, some days I need more, and I WILL have cheese, or some carbsmart butter pecan. This week I am trying to buckle down. I took them out! And I started losing again. Last week was my 28th b-day and I celebrated a lil too much. Mmm Taco Bell.. LOL. My cheat days are holidays and birthdays. I find I lose more after a cheat day, but I try to keep them at a minimum. And in all honesty I cheated 3 days last week. Not at all eating like I used to.. But not being as strict.

I live on these boards even though I dont post much. I read them everyday. Ive been confused about Kimkins, and I still am. Im just trying to find whats good and healthy for me. Im not a member of her site. Ive gotten all my info from here.

Todays menu:
Breakfast..I skipped since the lil one was sleeping in, so did Mom.
Lunch 5oz boneless chicken and a cup of summer squash cooked with Mrs Dash.
Dinner- probably chicken again. I love chicken. lol

If I wanna snack later it will probably be an egg and ham omelet. Or some sf jello, which Ive been trying to lay off.

I keep my menu pretty boring, since the rest of the family I cook different stuff for.

Since Ive started low-carbing, My cholesterol went from 307 to 284. Im really doing this for my health. The truth is, I dont feel fat. My husband embraces me no matter what, and I still get hit on..lol. Always good for the confidence.

Im looking forward to writing in this journal daily. Im just afraid one day Ill decide that I wanna stop dieting. And I know if Im socializing and journaling, it will help my willpower.

My fitday link :
FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal

Hope I did that right.

Wow, way to go! I can't believe you've lost so much since June - that's when I was supposed to start LCing but I kept putting it off. I'm interested in knowing how you do Kimkins - I can't decide if I should try it or not because of the controversy, but it seems to have worked for you. The thing I was most concerned about was vegetables, but it looks like you get plenty. How many calories do you shoot for? Do you season your chicken breast or anything to make it less boring?

I usually cook my chicken with butter flavored cooking spray and some mrs Dash. sometimes I bake it sometimes I fry it. Ya, I enjoy my squash. Somedays I do cut the veggies if im not hungry. But unfortunatly my 'mind' is always hungry..lol

Im gonna be honest.I hate exercising. But, I am doing it. Lastnight I put my Ipod on and went for it. 45 minutes, with sweat. This morning I got 15 minutes on my bike before baby was sick of looking at me, lol. But Im gonna hop on later. No pancakes today! lol. Im gonna be good! Even with TOM I lost 1lb. And Im having potty problems of course, so well see how this week pans out.I have a colon cleanse coming in the mail, so I dont wanna take a laxative. I hate taking them anyway. Too hard on my tummy...Well, Im sure that colon cleanse is gonna be even harder, but needed.
L- 5oz chicken
D-the same
S-sf jello if needed.

Wow, you've lost 45 pounds since June. Congragulations. Stay away from the pancakes. LOL

My temptation is white rice and starburst. 8 more pounds until 200 which isn't much to lose if you stay on course.

You sure are keeping it together with your hands full! How can you stay on track with your little ones? I was only able to start thinking about it after my youngest turned 1, and I was getting enough sleep to think like a rational human being again! LOL

KUDOS to you! You rock!

LOL, Debra!!! SO true.
Yesterday I ate too little. Deep ketosis has kicked in. I only at a chicken breast and 6 olives. I forgot to eat.and even tho I love not being hungry, I know thats not healthy. Fitday says I only ate 278 cals. NO GOOD! Today I felt really sick and had to stop and get a double cheeseburger, plain with no bun. Just to make it home.Im definetly gonna get some veggies in for supper. Squash, my fave.
My mother in laws scale said I weighed 195, not 205. So Im going to Walmart and trying their scale while Im there.
