WAY TO GO DEB!!!Oh Yea Go DebThat is such wonderful news.

Just what I needed before going to bed. I will dream about Deb weighing 168 and taking the 160s podium while eyeing the 150's podium and the weight fairy will come and crown her as we all applaud and plot our course for getting to the 160s podium where she is taking her victory lap

Great work!

I'm actually going to bed early tonight my teacher hasn't posted our work for this week so I am skipping studying for tonight. See ya tomorrow.

Hello!

Today was a good, but busy one.

After work this morning, I was able to scoot up to the zoo for a couple of hours with the kids. (Gotta get my money's worth out of that membership!) Weather was beautiful, 82 degrees and cloudy. The fresh air and excercise did us all good. Kids had quick dinner, bath, and early to bed.

DH's eating was really good except for that whole bag of sunflower seeds he consumed at work. It was an honest mistake. I helped him set up a fitday account this evening, and he is going to make an effort to put his menus in so he can see where he needs to focus.

TUESDAY'S MENU

Breakfast: Atkins Shake (2)
water

Lunch: slice of cheddar cheese (1) don't ask
water

Dinner: 4 oz salmon filet topped w/tsp pesto - baked (2)
1/2 cup mixed greens/spinach (2)
homemade broccoli casserole (5)
water

Snack: 1/4 cup fresh raspberries (4)
carb control yogurt (3)
water

TOTAL CARBS: 19
WATER: very good, exclusively
EXCERCISE: walked for about 2.5 hours (pushing kids in stroller at zoo)

Hey Deb,

I just wanted to send a "shout out" to ya before tomorrow. I know you will be busy with hubby and the kids on tomorrow but remember to enjoy yourself. So when the food is cleared, the little tummies are rubbed (and hubby's tummy ) and the last burp has echoed throughout the house, take advantage of some "Me Time". You deserve it.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!

OK. I was bad yesterday. Not really bad, but pretty bad. Lot's of little tastes in small amounts. Main problem was that by the time I finished serving and feeding the kiddos, there was almost no turkey left . I ended up sort of eating while standing and grazing. Very bad business. (At least it wasn't as bad as the Charlie Brown menu I posted yesterday! )

I am going to post my menu, but I am not putting the carbs down, because I can't bear to look.

THURSDAY'S MENU

Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 slice bacon (2)
coffee w/cream and torani (1)

Lunch: none

Dinner: small piece of turkey
cauliflower casserole
broccoli
3 glorious bites of my pecan praline sweet potatoes
1 bite of sil's amazing noodles
1 of auntie's homemade spinach italian rolls
2 bites sausage stuffing
diet coke

Dessert: sf pumpkin creme' custard
the rest of an italian butter cookie that my kids didn't finish
1/2 zeppole

Sad thing is, that by the time I ate, everything was cold and didn't even taste that good. I just waited too long to eat, and my judgement went out the window. What's done is done. Keep moving on.

We did have a really lovely time. All of the kids got along, and the weather was so gorgeous that we ate outside, and the kids played out in the fresh air. I enjoy spending time with DH's family, and he certainly brightens up when they are around. I haven't seen many of them since before I started to lose this weight, and nobody said a word. I think it's sweet, as they don't look at me that way. I am the same person to them no matter what I look like. I truly have so much to be Thankful for.

************************************************** *******

FRIDAY'S MENU

Breakfast: slice of chicken breast, slice of cheddar cheese (1)
water

Snack: cup of coffee w/cream and torani (1)
scoop cheesecake pudding (5)
water

Lunch: piece of chicken, hot sauce
sm salad w/bc dressing (4)
water

Dinner: 6 oz sirloin, 3 pork ribs
broccoli and cauliflower (4)
diet coke

Dessert: sf pumpkin creme' (5)

TOTAL CARBS: 20
WATER: not great
EXCERCISE: cleaning house, getting Christmas decorating started

So today was our anniversary. I was having MAJOR soda / sweet cravings all day due to last nights choices and the never-ending TOM. Plus, for the 4th day straight I woke up covered in hives from my waist to my ankles. The only thing that seems to work is good ol benadryl, so I am walking around in a haze. (I wonder if I am allergic to the Biotin I recently added to my supplements?)

I will stick to this WOE through the end of the year, without fail. Christmas Eve should be easy, since we have it w/ DH family, who are full Italian and have the Feast of the Seven Fishes (or Vigilia di Natale) from 4-midnight which means lots of yummy legal seafood, and I have no problem passing up the pasta!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I need to get some shut-eye so that I can get those lights up on the house, and our "Charlie Brown Christmas Scene" set up on the lawn bright and early tomorrow morning!

Hi Deb! I'm finally back on here....got caught up on your journal. Way to go on getting in the 160's! I was so excited to read that!

Don't worry about Thanksgiving. You got back on plan and that is what counts. I'm sure we all will have gained some water weight due to the foods we have eaten during Thanksgiving. Love the smiley faces/frown faces....you crack me up! Here's to getting back strict this week.

Good morning!

Deb,
When I look at your stats, I get so excited and motivated because that's where I came from and it's also where I'm going. You get me going girlie!! By looking at your menus I've also figured out that doing the low carb WOE does me no good if I don't know I'm eating low carb or know exactly how much carbs I've eaten and if it is indeed low carb (counting wise). That's it! I am going to have to eat low carb and actually know for sure it's low by COUNTING what I eat. Knowing that I'm eating low carbs is all in the numbers!!!! I've always just figured you were just thorough and that is why you placed your carb count in your journal but boy was I wrong.........See, there you go again putting me on the counc without me even knowing it. You are something else! Once again, thanks and put it on my tab. Gotta go start counting what's on my week's menu so that I will truly be LOWcarbing!!! WOW!!!

Heya!

Had a pretty nice day, overall.

DS#1's fall break is over. He was back to school . He really does do so well when he gets to be with kids his own age and blow off steam. It also gives the brothers a much needed break from each other, and a little "one on one time" for me and DS#2. (I can't believe he is going to be 2 on Dec. 6th! - no more baby!)

I also attended a home party at one of my neighbors houses. I am usually not into that kind of thing, but I decided to go since we have lived here for a few months now, and I hardly know any of my neighbors. I am really glad I went. The party was really geared towards family, values, and tradition. I got a couple of neat things, and met some very nice people. I feel so much more secure when I am home alone with the kids if I know some of my neighbors. I know that I am somewhat to blame, as I have kept to myself. We have had some bad experiences with neighbors in our old neighborhood , and I don't want to get into that situation again.

MONDAY'S MENU

Breakfast: 1 scrambled egg, 2 slices bacon, slice cheddar (2)
water

Lunch: Atkins Advantage Shake (2)
water

Party snack: Cup of hazelnut coffee, black (they only had sugar and powdered creamer, I also passed up the awesome looking pumpkin muffins and homemade gingerbread )

Late Dinner: Antipasto salad (4)
flat out pizza (flat out wrap, s/f sauce, mozzarella) (9)
Heavy cream whipped w/cocoa, davinci (4?)

TOTAL CARBS: 21
WATER: Good
EXCERCISE: not so much

WEIGHT: 168

Hi Deb, Looking good on your menu choices as usual and way to go on passing up the tempting goodies

That's great you were able to connect and have a good time with your neighbors.

I continue to be inspired by your commitment.

Morning Deb!

I'm so glad you met your neighbors. I've been in my neighborhood for 5 years now and do not know 1 of my neighbors personally; that's not good. During the holidays they send cards and give bags of goodies and I do also but as to mingle, I've not done that with them. What's funny about this is that I'm about to leave in the next 7 months (if we're on schedule) and don't know if I should just gracefully bow out or inform my 2 neighbors on either side of me. . I thought that if I decided to rent the house versus selling, it would just be courteous to do so but if I sell, hopefully the new homeowners would be nice enough to introduce themselves. Hmmmmm?? What does that say about me? All joking aside, I'm glad you made the step to know them. What type party was it? Pocketbook, make-up, drop-in, pajama? At any rate, they are blessed to have you as a neighbor. Do any of them have any small children the ages of your sons?
Needless to say, your menu is on point!!!!

MsTamika! I am inspired by you as well! Hugs! I think I have healed all I can, and need more drastic measures if I expect to get any better . I am doing my best to stay in shape and stay in motion. Hopefully Santa will be bring me some T-Tapp DVD's for Christmas, and I can follow your lead!

BlessedTamekia! I am glad I met them. The party was different than any other I have been to. It was a "Once Upon A Family" party. They had all kinds of items to create traditions and promote values for your children. Organized memory boxes, lessons of the month, etc. I am a really scattered individual when it comes to that stuff, so I found a couple of neat things to help me get organized!

Jaimie! I knew there was more to love about you! Dec. 6 is a very special day! Happy Birthday, early!

My Fellow Giants Fan! I know! I have been so bad about it. I have to say, I am certainly not looking for close friends, but I feel so much more secure staying at home during the day, knowing a couple of folks near by if we had an emergency. I think I might drop off some holiday treats to my immediate neighbors this year.

Beth! You are the best!

Staying in shape and staying in motion is a great strategy.

Wonderful menu! Tell you what you keep leading really good on the menu side and I'll get back on the T-Tapp horsey and give you something to follow.

I'll drop some letters to Santa too
