Thanks for dropping in this morning. How are you doing?
I was browsing recipes for a dessert. The holidays are just around the corner and I want something sweet so I will not feel left out. Sometimes I get tired of SF jello. I found some great recipes that I may try. Have a great day!! Janice |

Today is an okay day. Work has been a little stressful for the past couple of weeks and I am working to get back on track. I was down a lb this morning so that's good...

That's what I say. I refuse to change my stats until I get back to where I was. Yesterday I was 235 and today I am 234. What a difference a day makes! (along with a trip to the bathroom

I love water, but the constant trips to tinkle are enough to drive me foolish, and enough to have others wondering what i'm doing in the washroom sooooo much. Grrrr.....

I must agree the bathroom does tend to be a "mystery room"!! A little bit of everything goes on in there.

Down 1 more lb this morning: 233!
I think the stress from work is what's causing it. I really don't like drama . I will have to fill you all in with the details later . I guess that is what happens when you work with an office full of women...Affirmation of the Day :My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus(and HE owns everything so I know I got it going on)! |

Good job , and as you said, only 3 more to goal! Good stuff.
Are you not enjoying the full experience of working in a workplace full of pms-ing , b*tchy, backstabbing, two faced,,,,,,, etc etc. I find if there is not a mix of men in there it can get pretty ugly. But it seems to go in spurts, great for awhile, then it goes slowly downhill until it explodes. Of course, none of us are ever to blame!! We're perfect!! |

Hello Nkechi,
I tried the 1 minute muffin and did not like it. I rather have it the way I usually make it with my own tweaks. Have a great day!!! |

I've got some HATERS!
Hello Friends!!!
I am so excited to be back! I had drama at work last week but all is well. I hate working with women ! I should have chosen another profession. To make a long story short (I will try) this is what happened...My supervisor called me into her office and handed me a memo that was entitled "Meeting of Performance" and told me to read it (I was scared because I've only been with the agency less than 6 months ). I read it and it said about 3 things that I have been doing well and about 10 things I needed to improve on. She said that although or office is laid back that she had noticed that I was too "laid back" and that the department takes their training classes seriously. I told that although I recognize that I may haven't been doing some of the items on the list (mostly because I was never told ) I had been doing other things that she had on there. All she said was that she was just letting me know so I would be informed in the future. I really didn't know where all of this was generating from because I KNOW I am an excellent trainer and after every class I teach at least one student will come and tell me how much they enjoyed my class. I didn't think my performance warrented me getting an unofficial write-up but I took it, was a little sad but knew I needed to be on my toes because I understand that everyone can stand some improvement. I thought everything was cool until I got to work the next day and everyone was giving me the "cold shoulder" including my boss. THEN I found out that 2 women in my office who have been at the agency for a while went to my supervisor and told her a bunch of lies and exagerations on what I have and have not been doing. One of the other supervisors and co-worker from the other side of the office finally told me that the women in my office like to keep drama going and are always picking on someone. They told me that it's my turn to be the black sheep. The bad thing is that my supervisor chose to believe them and didn't give me a chance to defend or clarify myself at all. AND everyone else in the office knows what's going on but me. All I have heard are bits and pieces about how I need to prove myself as a team player and that I rushed through a training class because I wanted to go to lunch with a group of other trainees, which is so totally untrue that it's rediculous ! The bottom line is that they must be jealous or something. My co-worker told me that they are jealous because I have my master's degree and they don't and they feel like I am trying to take their spot! Can you believe that? I am 35 years old and I don't have time for childish games because somebody feels so insecure about themselves that they have to go behind my back and talk about me. I know this was not so short but that is what has been up with me. I was out of the office for a workshop for 2 days and I actually dreaded coming to work today for the first time. I really don't like that feeling but I know it will blow over soon. I just can't stand fake people !Affirmation of the Day :This too shall pass!

I'm sorry that you are going through a tough time at work. I am 42 years young and have had many bosses, Male and female. It seems a lot of the female bosses let feelings and emotions from others (and themselves) blind their work and guidance of their fellow employees. Most male bosses avoid this because of their personality some are messy also.
I have a male boss now and things are so much better. He replaced a female boss and It was always something going on in the office. I hope things work out for you. Hang in there Janice |

Hi 123Nkechi
You would think that as women we would try and lift each other up in the work place seeing as how it has been a long journey for "us" to make a place in the fields that you are now in. I am not trying to sound like a Bible thumper when I say its called the spirit of Jezebel. Women can be so cruel with the little games they play. I am so sorry that you are having to deal with that..as if its not a hard enough job that you have. Well Jesus tell's us to love and Pray for or enemy's. That has beeen the hardest thing for me to do as a christian. I will continue to pray for you and I will add to the list the "ladies" that you have to work with. God Bless Shelly ![]() |

Thanks Jan. It is so much easier to work for a man. I really hate to say it because I believe women can be great as supervisors. BUT... you are right, feelings and emotions guide female personalities. Sometimes that can be a positive but many times a big negative. I know it will get better.

! My sister said the same thing about it being a Jezebel spirit. As a social worker and (most importantly) a Christian I try to be as objective as possible but sometimes it is so hard. I am so thankful that Jesus keeps me in perfect peace because my natural self would have reacted very different. The old me would have confronted and said somethings that couldn't be taken back. It is the wisdom of God that lets me know when to let things go and went confront. Like the song says, "Let go and Let God!" |

That's great.
I've tried to start a challenge here at work but no one is interested. They complain all day about their weight. Well, you can't change peoples mind about weight loss they have to do it themselves. Have a great day!!! ![]() Janice |

Thanks beautifulme!
Well gals, I'm headed towards the coast for a couple of days. If my labtop gets signal then I will be able to check in on the boards but if not I will see you all when I return on Wednesday. I am really excited about the challenge at work (mostly because money is involved - LOL). The bad part is that I've been pigging out all weekend because we start tomorrow (October 1). I actually don't have my official weigh in until I get back to in the office on Wednesday. But as I am going to be living out of a hotel for a couple of days I think I may do okay for those to days. Affirmation of the WEEK :I have the Glory, Anointing, and Favor of God on my life! |
