Thanks Eileen and Beautiful for the words of encouragement. I really do appreciate it.

Sometimes the PCOS thing gets to me. I guess I was hormonal along with TOM last week. That has been happening for the last couple of months. But today is a new day and this week is a new week.

Affirmation :
This is the day that the Lord has made so let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Okay, so after several shaky starts I am attempting to do induction again starting today. I haven't fallen yet but of course it is only 10am . I got inspired yesterday after I read a post about how someone has already lost 24lbs since the holidays doing induction so I am giving it a try again for upteenth time. Wish me luck and send up lots of prayers for me .

When I got on the scale this morning it said I was back at 238 (LIAR!!! ). I guess I shouldn't be suprised after my bad mood last week.

Sendin up prayers for your heart and mind to align in producing the success you desire! Amen

I am going back to induction too, I was inspired by Meekness. She's lost 12.5 lbs or more this year already

I know you can do this!!!

Yeah, I started today and so far so good but I am thinking about going out to get another pack of cream cheese to make some muffins to keep me legal . When are you going to start induction? Maybe you can keep me straight .

Give that scale of yours a big honking kick!!

You're so right, there are people here who are really rocking induction, in only 15 days! And here i sit, doing the same things and getting the same results. Duh on me. We need a inspirational induction song! Something we can hum or sing when tempted.

An induction song IS what we need. What tune should we use?

Hello There,
I think today is as good a day as any. I need to brush up on my induction do's and don't. I've actually been LCing for the past couple of days but I've had nuts which I believe is out for induction. My intention is to get online or break out the Atkins book so I can get up to speed.

I am so proud of myself because I have made it 2 whole days without cracking ! This week has been a good week. Other than the fact that I pissed Mr. C off this morning. I was supposed to do something for him and forgot and had to confess that I didn't do it this morning. I am sure is thinking that I am not too dependable at the moment. I will be hearing about it the whole weekend but that's okay because I am not the one mad .

I realized that haven't been keeping up with my affirmations like I used to so I am going to have to research my sources for motivational quotes. I will resume them daily starting next week. Stay tuned ...

I love affirmations. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

CONGRATS on 2 days. I'm with SKV trying to get one in that I feel is truly an induction day... i.e., no nuts.

I have several books with several so I will be using several resources. Anything to uplift the spirit!

I am not following an official by the book induction. I am just keeping it simple. I say if you can get the nuts in and keep your carbs under 20 and you start to lose then it doesn't really matter. Go for it and see what happens...

I just made this soup tonight and it is the BOMB!!! I wanted to eat the whole pot but that would be 65 carbs according to ******....

Quote:
Low Carb Turkey Zuppa Tuscano Soup

1 lb. Italian turkey sausage, mild
1 medium diced onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
˝ cup chicken broth
3 cups water
6 cups of kale leaves (pulled off the stems)
8 oz. cauliflower (steamed)
˝ cup heavy cream
Dash of Salt and red pepper flakes to taste

Crumble sausage in pot with diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until sausage is brown and done.

Put chicken broth, water, cauliflower, kale, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes in a pot and simmer for 30 minutes (or until you think it’s finished).

After simmer time, add the heavy cream and simmer for another 10 minutes, or until everything is nice and hot.

I was thinking about the soup later after I put it up and I remembered that I left out a few details...

I added each ingredients 1 at a time. I browned the sausage first. Then cut up the onion into the pot when the sausage was almost brown. When the onions got soft I added the chicken broth. I would have used a full cup but I only had a little less than half a can so I went with what I had. Then I added the water. When that started simmering I added the steamed cauliflower and used a spoon to mash it into smaller pieces in the pot with the sausage and onions. Because the turkey sausage is not as flavorful as the pork version I added a dash of Italian seasoning to the mix as well. After stirring that in I then added the kale. The next time I will add the kale later because in the restaurant it's not really cooked down into the soup so I am guessing it is just used as a garnish. I was on the computer and let it all simmer for about 30 minutes which it was too long because the kale only takes a few minutes to cook and the cauliflower was already steamed. If I'd added the cauliflower in uncooked then I would have let it simmer that long. Anyway because of the long simmer the cauliflower was mostly desolved which made the soup really thick (yum). The last thing was the cream which I basically just drizzled around in a swirl until I figured it was a 1/2 cup but I don't think it actually was. This soup came out really thick so the next time I make this I will probably use a full cup of broth and 4 cups of water instead of 3 to thin it out and stretch it more.

If any of you decide to try this let me know how yours turned out.

I am enjoying my quiet weekend at home. It's cold and rainy outside and they claim it's supposed to snow but that's not going to do me any good unless it snows Monday night so I don't have to go to work on Tuesday .

Glad your having a good weekend! Is the induction going ok? Induction flu yet? I've got the headache going on, but i think it's just lack of sleep.

I wish we would just get some rain here. It snowed all day, put down about 5 more inches, and it's minus 18 , with a windchill of 32. It makes the oil tank very unhappy. (me too)

Affirmation - The time to start living is NOW!

I found one of my many weightloss books and started reading. This one is Chicken Soup for the Soul, Healthy Living Series: Weightloss and I just finished reading one of the stories that almost brought me to tears . It was about not sitting down and being depressed about lossing weight and start living and doing it. I am so inspired! The times of sitting back and being a spectator are over. It is time to live it and do it. The time to start living is NOW! Not when I lose 10, 25, or even 100 lbs. The time is NOW! Not at the beginning of the week! The time is NOW! Not when I find the support I need. The time is NOW! Not when I get off from work. The time is NOW! Not when I get my finances in order. The time is NOW! The time is NOW! THE TIME IS NOW!
