Thank you so much for sharing your struggles! You are truly an inspiration!

I can't imagine dealing with so many hurdles when you are trying so hard to make things happen. Please don't give up the fight! You may be the one who gets things done for the first time for others who are struggling with the same kinds of things.

Major pats on the back for doing so well with the LC in so many tempting situations!!!! Go, you!!!

I guess you can all see why I am not a blogger I cannot even keep up with this LOL
I have been doing a lot of thinking the last few days My Birthday is coming up and they always depress me. I start thinking about things that I do not have and that are missing from My Life. I am always honest with Myself so I know a lot of my issues are myself.

I hold myself back from Life like a lot of us I get into the whole well when I get to this weight I will do more. Why? why do we do this to ourselves and put off things we enjoy because you get so afraid of all the people talking about you.

What is really bad is you can sometimes see when they let something slip what your own Family members think of you. The other Day we pull up at a Buffet for Lunch My Sister had just called so I am sitting there in the parking lot talking to her and My Mother and My Aunt are waiting. I look out and see a few couples walking one of the Men is holding his hip then walking weird I think nothing of it. I finish My call and My Aunt makes a comment that that Man was making fun of how I walk. I look at her like what? I am in the Car how would he know how I walk? and she says well he recognized the Car! I had never seen this person before I saw their Car leave they had Canada Tags--so it just told me right then that this is how she thinks and will not say it to My face.

Yes I am sure I walk funny I have Lymphedema all the weight is in my calves my balance is horrible but to put what you are thinking on someone who has never even seen me is beyond stupid. People really disappoint you sometimes.

So Today is 1 week to My Bday so I am going to think of something positive about myself everyday and share it. I will do this later since the Day has barely begun

What a truly bizarre thing for her to say. Even if she really thought it was so, what positive thing did she think would come from saying it? It's never ceased to amaze me how the ones you care the most about (family) can be the most hurtful, and in the most offhanded way.

Happy Early Birfday!!!

Gotta go to bed... as much as I know I will toss and turn all night. (p.s. my dog would be cute if he'd stop peeing on everything )

I know the comment was just weird and My self esteem is bad enough without her adding to it LOL

I went for a walk on the Beach tonight and took My Camera I have seen better sunsets but I thought I would share a few Pics. It is funny how you take for granted the things that are near you I rarely seem to make it to the Beach yet it takes on a couple of minutes to get there.

Just a quick update My Dr is going to try and get MLD treatments so I am crossing My Fingers that it works out.
I had to go for My first Mammogram yesterday it was not as bad as I thought it would be but My heel was really hurting standing in one place for so long

I have Heel spurs and have to go to the Podiatrist next week and also in to My Dr's for Blood work.

Not a lot to talk about tonight My Bday is tomorrow and I am a little depressed over it I feel like my life is just slipping away.

Hi

Hi Jann,

I hope you enjoyed your !

I have not posted too much with you till now.
I have read some of this your present journal I feel we have enough in common to be relatives...only we would be the kind that are a blessing and not used for sandpaper.

My paternal grandmother and her son my father both were sufferers of Lymphedema and passed the DNA on to me and one of my two sisters.

We have it in our lower abdomen more than our my legs. As one of my fathers prime caretakers from 1996 to 2001 when he passed away I did have experience in working to keep his and mine under control as best as we could.

I am happy about the meeting next week at the Steakhouse and thanks again for the help in finding the place.

I am looking forward to meeting all the LCFriends and look forward to having a nice Juicy Filet Mignon. See you next week

The MLD can be very effective, once you get to a stage of maintaining your legs ask them about getting a Reid Sleeve. i just got one about 2 months ago and love it. It is so much easier than having to wrap your legs at night. They take come getting use to, but are very effective. It is nice to see a familiar face here!

Thanks Amy I just want to see some results it gets so frustrating when you seem to run into a catch-22 with everything. BTW you look great I am so happy for you and all you have accomplished and I truly admit wish I had the Leg success.

Ok I am getting bad about not updating again I finally have something to report My Dr's office called yesterday and they have found a PT who does MLD at Bayfront a large hospital in St Pete.

They are suppose to call me to set up the sessions I am so hoping this helps with improvement. I just want to be able to actually wear pants again. It is funny the things that people take for granted that we need so much to appear somewhat normal LOL

I meant to add Carol thanks about the avatar I actually took that right after getting Home on Saturday.

Not much going on Today/yesterday My Aunt went back Home to TN thankfully but I am afraid she took about half my clothes with her so when I get back down to My larges I will have to buy new Clothing.
I never gave her my stuff she just helped herself even took My Shoes which the ones she left and did not take I will not wear now. I told My Mother I should have looked through her bags she came here with 1 Suitcase and left with 4.

I am still waiting for the PT to contact me I am so inpatient to get treatments I just want to see some improvement I think it will really help motivate me to keep going.

I talked to my Dr's office yesterday and the PT they found at Bayfront is going on Vacation so the soonest I can get in is 11/4
I am sure I will get inpatient waiting but there is no one else around that does MLD so I guess I wait a Month.

I had someone on another board I post on write and tell me about a supplement called Lymphomax that she said her PT put her on and it really helped move Lymph fluid. I looked it up online and it seems to be all safe ingredients so I ordered a bottle of pills and got them in today.

I measured my Legs so I will try the pills for 2 weeks and post any results if any if I get results I will be happy but if not at least it is only $12 I am out of LOL

Hi Jann...I missed what sounds like a good visit with eachother.

The Lymphomax OMG I it will help if it does help you I will try it for my lower abdomen. I collected so much fluid in my lower abdomen it was actually too heavy for my lap. Was making my hip joints ache.

Do you take the lasix? I have heard it does not help my lymphedema but when I stop taking it I get so so much worse so what to do I guess I will keep them for keeping water out.

Nice pics of the gathering! You all look terrific
