![]() Hello Hello I am starting a journal here because I have a wedding to go to in 12 weeks and I have some pounds that have crept back on that WILL be off by then. I was sick with mono and could not work out for over a month and a half, hence the weight gain. I need to be held accountable, so I figure why not start here. I am a slow loser and do this on purpose as to not lose muscle if I don't have to. Long Term Goal: ~ lose 8 pounds by 10/5/2007 Short Term Goals: ~ Whole foods, NO SUGAR ~ 4-5 meals a day ~ 1-2 reasonable free meals a week ~ 3-4 weight workouts a week ~ cardio as necessary ~ 4L water a day

Todays eats:
1: veggie egg white omelet, oats 2: grilled catfish, brown rice, mixed veggies PWO: 50g carbs of popcorn, 1 scoop pp 4: egg whites, oats 5: protein shake, strawberries Already feeling better with a more moderate carb approach. Just finished my weight workout. Tomorrow I have another one and possibly some cardio depending on time. |

![]() Back from the gym. I had a decent weight workout. I really lost some strength while I was sick, hopefully I'll get it back soon. I also did 1 set of body weight exercises and then 20 minutes on the bike. It feels so good to be back in the swing of things! Eats are right on and I plan on keeping them that way! Me and DH were up late last night watching a movie and slept in so I will probably only get in 4 meals today. I will make them a bit larger to get in all my calories |

Went to see the new Harry Potter movie at midnight. I was SO tempted by the popcorn there, that is my weakness! But, I didnt have any and was rewarded with a .2lb drop on the scale. I think I have shed my water weight, now onto fat burning!
Rest day today, I am sore from my workout yesterday |

Jackie, I am copying my post to Sunabee because I mentioned you in it:
Sunabee: I stumbled across your weight loss journal while browsing these boards and want to tell you how inspiring your posts are. You have such a great attitude about life and I enjoy reading your success and struggles with weight issues. It is comforting to know that we all have similar struggles from time to time. I am only on page 32 of your journal but wanted to ask you a question. Around pages 30-32, you are on a 100 Day Clean Eating Challenge coached by Jackie. I am curious about this plan because I am trying to eat healthier while still losing weight. I have lost 74 pounds doing Atkins in the last 2-3 years, but have struggled with the last 15-20 pounds for over a year now. I have been doing many strict plans, including meat & egg, kimkins, etc., only to lose 10 or so, and then go off plan and gain it back. I would like to try to take the last 15-20 pounds off with a healthy plan. Please let me know if you or Jackie would like to share your plan with me. I would appareciate any input you would have. Pam- PM me when you can Another nice day with DH here We bought a new bedroom set, new mattresses and new coffee tables and end tables for our living room We are moving in a week and bought a lot of new stuff since we are going to be in a brand new home!Took a free meal today. We stopped at Coldstone. I had the sugar free, fat free ice cream with brownie and graham cracker, and a bit of peanut butter. Puts me at around maintenance for the day so I am totally cool with it. I am really loving not worrying so much about dieting, and not because I am eating "junk" but because I know it is OK! Tomorrow I'll hit the gym for sure though. Weight down another .2lb today. Nice
Will hit the gym later for weights and some cardio. I bought new sneakers yesterday I want to try out. I will be running the Charlotte half marathon in December so I need to get some running under my belt before training begins. It is so freakin humid though. I might have to start running in the evenings. I am NOT a morning person! I'll see how things go once we move |

![]() Went to the gym. Ham dominant day followed by a 2 mile run on the TM. I am slowly easing back into my runs. I need/want to get outside again soon but know I'm not quite there I did find a training schedule for the half marathon that starts me 18 weeks out, builds my millage up nice and slow, I start August 4th Eats have been right on today and I'm feeling good. I guess I really do need those carbs to function! |

MORNING! my weight was up a bit too. a WHOPPIN 2/10ths of a pound from what is in my siggy

I know I'm going to fluctuate, just was surprized I'm not down a little since I've been on plan no problems lately. probably has something to do with the weather in all honesty. I need to try and get more water in. it's harder to do lately, for some reason. have a good day, jackie!

I just have to be careful of it not affecting me if it doesn't show what I expect or want. usually, I can handle it, even if my first reaction is disappointment, it doesn't typically last longer that that initial moment. if it does, then I stay off the scale for a while until I know I can handle it no matter WHAT it says. |

I totally forgot to weigh today
Tomorrow is official weigh in. It will be one week on my new eats. Me and DH went to see Transformers today. AWESOME movie. DH got popcorn and I didnt even have a bite ![]() Eats are on and if it doesnt rain I am going to go for a short run after dinner |

I did it!!
I ran outside- wow, is it HUMID! I did 25 minutes at a nice steady pace. My goals until I start training are just to run with no millage or time goals..need to get my endurance up again |

After PMing you, I have been reading some on how calorie restriction hurts your metabolism and looking at my own numbers. If you use the 12X your weight for dieting, that would be around 2,100 calories for me. I then went to fitday to see how many calories I usually take in to lose weight and found that I have to stay around 1,200 or lower to lose any weight. I cannot even imagine eating 2,100 calories a day. This just blows me away. |
