I think you may be able to gently chat with him sharing your concern that the gf is not being safe, and point out to him that even though they may have just been "playing cards" she deliberately hurt his feelings since he was telling her to send him home.

Already, even though my kids are 6, 10 and 13...not into dating yet...I point out to them when someone is being unkind. I want them to have a healthy sense of what is in their best interest---regardless of what the other person is doing. You can NEVER change other people, but you can decide to be with others that respect you and your wishes.

I try to talk to him .. but he gets all defensive.. so I know that he knows.. I am right.. he just doesn't want to admit it..I wish you the best when your kiddos start dating.. .. I was so excited when he came home from church camp, telling me that the girl he met last year, liked him this year and gave him her phone number.. he started calling her and she called him and they started "going out".. she lives an hour away.. so that's a blessing in one way , but sometimes I wonder if she lived closer if he would see how she "really" is sooner.. I don't know.. I believe that he thinks he can change her and that God sent him to her to help her.. he has said that in not so many words.. but I told him.. like you said.. you cannot change a person.. and to love her the way she is.. or move on.. me and his biological father are not together.. and just for that.. I tried to change him.. took me 7 years to figure it out .. I don't want him to go through everything that I did.. and IF they get married, and have kids.. it will be harder for him.. he says HE would get the kids because he is better for them,... correct me if I am wrong.. but if you ALREADY feel that way about someone.. why would you want them raising your kids to begin with? know what I mean.. ?

well, I better hush.. I could go on and on.. I love him and I just wish he would take the blinders off.. ya know.. ?..

Thanks.. I was letting it really get to me.. but then.. I gave it to God.. thats all I can do.. you know a teenager.. they think they know everything.. you can't tell them anything.. .. he swears she is the one.. .. I will be happy when he does see the light.. don;t get me wrong.. I know I will cry with him .,. because he will be hurting.. .. but time will heal his heart and he will meet someone else.. a girl more like him.. and he will say.. ya know mom.. you were right....

I'd tell Korbey to find a girl thats just a "good friend" to hang out this weekend and give her a taste of her own medicine.

Also...

I'd tell his girlfriend to join the Army, serve a tour in a third world country, and find out first hand what life is all about in a third world country. Then ask her "how do you like our rules now?"

NO.. your not.. I agree..lol.. but if I told her to join the army.. she would say.. no I don't believe in it.. that's just how she is..

but the thought of her dropped off over there is a happy thought for me.... no I am kiddin.. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.. not even her....

IF and I say IF.. God has it in his plan for Korbey to be with her.. then I pray she changes her ways.. cause I don't see it working.. it will have to be her the one to break it up.. cause in his mind.. he's on a mission.. and he would be afraid to break her heart and make her sad.. that's just the way he is.. he is like his mama.. he has a big heart..

I have to give it to him.. he tells her how he feels.. unlike myself.. I let things build up.. then I let it blow..lol.. they are all lovey dovey tonight.. so this will be continued till next week.. when she does something he doesn't like..

I don't think I would go back to this age if I could.. not in this day and age that is..lol..

If I remember from my WW days Wendy's chili is only like 3 or 4 points for a cup. My favorite WW meal was a cup of Wendy's chili mixed with Kraft Easy Mac--7 or 8 points, so filling and delicious! If I was a carber any more I'd be eating it! LOL

Good morning all..

Well... I came to work.. and didn't bring anything for lunch.. why you might ask..?.. because I had left one of my Healthy Choice dinners over here.. so I go to take me some yogurt in the fridge..just opened the freezer to check what kind it was.. and its not there.... my guess is..Bill ate it..lol.. there is a paper clip on my desk.. it has $4.00 in it , but it says Chris' name on a post it..lol.. .. so I will wait to call Bill and ask him.... it's a good dang thing I live next door..lol

anyway.. I don't know how well this WW is going to do for me.. I am having a time.. ( like Lei mentioned) with what I can eat.. its great that I can have sweets.. but.. I think I am having way to many.. .. I am also having a time with the counting of points.. with Low carb.. I pretty much know what I can have and what I can't ..

I weighed in this am,, and I am up .4,, not down any.. .. so I am either going to have to not have the sweets.. or go back on low carb.. its been 2 weeks.. I will give it another 2 weeks like I said...( 1 month) and see if I can do better,, besides it will get Easter over with.. and I can have potato salad.. is that terrible or what.... no really, I said a month..

I got some laundry done yesterday ,,, but that's about it.. I did get to the store.. came home and watched a movie.. August Rush... very good I might add.. I went to rent it.. and they said it didn't do well in the box office.. so they weren't going to have it.... so I bought it.. and it was very good.. If your a music lover and love a good chic flick.. you'll like it.. I cried at the end.. sniff sniff..

My left side under my ribs hurts today when I breath in or move a certain way.... oh well.. It will be OK..

I am sorry to hear you are struggling with WW. I know for me personally, if I could have some sweets, even if they are in small amounts...it would wreck my resolve for sure. I admire you though for giving it the whole month, because, your body may just need some time to adjust! You could have a huge whoosh next week.

i sat out on the porch with jetta the last couple of nights watching the sunset. it was chilly but i wasn't going inside for nothin'! i wanted the sunshine on my face!

if you like the frozen panini's you should try the healthy choice smokehouse apple and chicken. it's delish!! so is the lean cuisine steak & cheddar and the lean cuisine turkey dinner with the apples. i only have a couple of frozen favorites but they're ding dang good.

we're going steelhead fishing this weekend. hopefully we'll catch something so i can show you some pictures!!

Chris brought me over the Lean Cuisine steak and Philly Panini,, and it was even better then the other one I had.. and no complaints about the smell.... only thing is I only ate 1 half and a few bites of the other.. people kept coming in and it got all hard .. stipid people.. kiddin..lol.. I will survive.. I think..lol..

I might go get me a yogurt.. if I get hungry between now and dinner.. I think I am making fish again tonight....we'll see..

On WW, give it until the end of the month like you planned. Try eating more whole foods. If you continue to gain, then come back to LC. You know it works!

I'm glad you gave good reviews on August Rush. I have rented it for the weekend. Can't wait to watch it now.
