Violet, you're turning skinny, Violet!

Hey ya'll! Just decided to pontificate as to my journey to healthiness
(is that a word?). Hopefully, and LC gods willing, this will be my last and I want to have some documentation of the hard work I will put in. Comments, suggestions, nonsense ramblings are all welcomed!! heehee I'll probably stick to a regiment of what I eat with a few thoughts here and there.

B~ scrambled eggs with scrambled sausage
L~ romaine w/ turkey and swiss, little mayo and black pepper
D~ blackened chicken salad
S~ sugar free jello, crudites, homemade ranch

Today's weight was 206.5.

If your interesting in the ramblings of a cuckoo, I present my journal!!

OK...total change of menu.
B~ same as noted above
L~ 2 halves of Klaussen kosher dills
D~ 7 lemon pepper wings, 3 hot wings, ranch dressing
S~ a few sips of orange crystal light and gin. Didn't like it too much, thankfully. Hubby thought he would try it.
Also drank 3 CFDC during the day. I'm going to have a bad night cause I am thirsty and drinking water before bed. Oh well. That's my fault.

Ended up not being too hungry, but I also kept myself busy. Need veggies tomorrow. Going to the gym in the morning to the BodyPump class. Should be exciting (yeah right)

Ok...6/16...went to BodyPump this morning! Can't believe I didn't flake! Came home, fixed breakfast, took my DD and niece to niece's house, went Father's Day shopping, went to Chik-Fil-A, picked up DS, and here I am. I ate 2 fried eggs and 3 slices of precooked bacon for b'fast, went to CFA to get a grilled chik sand, but didn't like it! I'm not gonna eat it just because. Drank a big CFDC and had 2 pieces of homemade beef jerky. I need to up my water for the salt. Walked around Sam's and totally avoided the food section, although I looked for SF jello. Interesting!!

Now I headed for the pool! See ya! I'll edit when dinner comes around.

The pool was great! Dinner was to be grilled chicken...yum! BUT we were invited to a sac party. Grilled hotdogs and burgers, no problem, until the Worm Buckets. I had one of those delish drinks, a bite of potato casserole, 2 tortilla scoops with 7 layer dip and a hotdog. I'm mad because I cut up veggies and made ranch dip, ate only 2 celery pieces. Why is food so powerful? Why couldn't I just be happy with what I knew I could have? Why did I choose to be fat? Can you feel my frustration? I would say I'll just hop right back on the wagon, but I'm scared of what myMIL is fixing for lunch tomorrow. I'm going to the gym.period.

How did the lunch with MIL go? I think food is powerful because, A) we need it to survive, and B) we associate all sorts of good feelings with high fat foods. Maybe even C) because all our friends are doing it!

But you can do it. You just have to remember, you are only on restriction until you clean up your room! Wait, no, that is what mom says.

You are only on restriction until you clean up your mess! Yeah, that's it. And our messes are excess pounds.

Once we have ourselves within a healthy weight range, we can indulge a little more. The key is balance. Work out, eat right most of the time, indulge every once in a while to keep life grand!

Hey Firegirl! Lunch was ok...not as bad as it could have been. I had pot roast, green beans, a few onions and carrots. Skipped the mashed potatoes, creamed corn, mac-n-cheese, cornbread, fried okra, pear salad, homemade cake, and strawberry cake. See why I was nervous???? Typical country cookin'.

I skipped breakfast (actually slept a little late) and had grilled chicken for dinner. Spent too much time with the hubby and didn't go to the gym--hahaha

Have a great week!!!!

THANKS Firegirl and Eileen!!! Same to you both!!

You know, Eileen, I've just discovered Cherry Coke Zero. I bet that might be good with a little rum or CL Lemonade and Vodka if I HAVE to be that sociable! hahahaha What my hubby made was pretty gross!!!

Well, my menu today consisted of the following...
B~ none
L~ 2 turkey, roast beef and swiss roll-ups, 1/2 Klaussen dill pickle
S~ string cheese
D~ 3 scrambled eggs, 3 strips ready made bacon, about 6 bites of unstuffed mushrooms (stuffed mushrooms, only using sliced instead of whole!)

I drank a total of 1 plastic cup of Cherry Coke 0 and a big bottle of Fiji water. I've become a water snob!!hahaha

I also went to the gym for the BodyPump class! Yea me!

Cherry Coke Zero?? That sounds slightly interesting. I haven't seen it here yet, but we're typically in the dark ages. We had diet pepsi with lime and it was fantastic, but apparently not everyone felt the same way i did , and it got yanked. Dirty dogs.

Have a great day!

It's a good day!

Woke up early and went to the BodyPump class. I'm soooooorrrrreee!!!! That is a good thing. Came home and had 4 scrambled eggs and 3 slices of bacon. Just heard from my son as he was waiting for the boat to cruise to Greece. I'm jealous, but he sounded proud of me when I told him I joined the gym. I guess we've both changed a little since he left. He's coming home Thursday and I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We miss him soooooooo much!! This really confirms why I am making this life change. I want to be able to do the things that are memorable AND be in the pictures without thinking I look gross. The kids are at the ages (8 and 14) that we can do those trips and they will remember them. I want to hike up Mt. Vesuvious or however you spell it and get on a gondola with out worrying it will tip. I want to be sure I can fit in a plane seat comfortably as well as the seats on the roller coasters at Six Flags. I want, I want, I want...and I will get what I want!!! I want to be healthy! Please let this feeling last in my dark moments!!

I also wanted to add that a buch of us hung out last night. I had a CFDC and some homemade beef jerky.

Dontcha just LOVE that feeling, Eileen? I honestly hope it's not short lived. No excuses, though.

Ok...lunch today I took to the pool. Had 2 slices of turkey, string cheese, crystal light, water, CFDC, water, and water.

DINNER WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friend and I went out after shopping for my son's room. I suggested TGI Fridays since I hadn't been there in awhile and I thought they would have some lower carb items to choose from, like burgers and salad. OMG!!! I had Shrimp Key West & broccoli listed at 12 carbs!! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!! A little spicy, a little limey, just yummy goodness!! I had a salad, too, with ranch, 3 cucumber slices, cheese, but ate about 1/2. YUMMERS!!!

Well, I'm off to bed. Let's hope to see a change in the scale in the am!

O MY GOOD GIGGLY-WIGGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am supposed to go to MIL (yes, again) for a birthday lunch for my nephew. Now, before you go "Oh, NO!" listen as to why I may not go. Well, nephew is going to be 20, so it's not like a little one's birthday. Second, and most importantly, homemade chicken fingers are on the menu. These rival the BEST restaurants in the world and we always have real, deep fried french fries with them. There will probably be salad to eat as well, but I really don't want to put myself in that situation. I think I'm skipping it. I'll send DH with DD and they will send my regards. Just don't think I want to be put in the situation of temptation.

I'll go shopping instead!!!

Shopping it was!!!! Got a few things to finish DS room like a desk and a comforter. YEA!!

I've decided that I just don't cook on the weekends. Ate out twice today. Hope I did alright as it wasn't easy! We'll see for the Monday weigh-in.

L~ Applebee's...Did a great thing and asked if the dressing on the Greek Chicken Salad had sugar in it. Yes it does. Fine, I'll have ranch on the side and a cup of french onion soup, no crouton. Fine. Not so fine. Salad already comes premixed with everything, she tells me as she puts the soup down. Do you want an oriental chicken salad? No, I'm staying away from sugar and flour. I'll just eat soup. Then I started to wonder if they have plain salads. Yes, a house garden salad. Fine. Ranch on the side, bacon and cheese, no eggs or tomatoes. Fine. Could I see the lettuce through the cheese and bacon? Hardly. It was alright. I ate most of the broth from the soup, leaving most of the carby onions, but it was good. PHEW!! What an ordeal!!!!!

S~ Decided to stop with my friend for an Iced Coffee at McDonald's. Since they fix your coffee I thought this would be a good legal treat. We go in, not busy, but people waiting at the counter for food. Finally order as they are short-staffed. Friend ordered a large hazelnut and I ordered a large PLAIN iced coffee, just coffee, cream, and ice. I wanted to sweeten with Splenda. No prob. You guessed it.....prob. Makes friends a vanilla, fine, it was redone. Makes mine then pulls some strange bottle out...
woah woah woah...what's that? I shoutIt's sweetener...no, you silly, I ordered PLAIN so I could sweeten myself. ooooooopppppppssssss that was plain, my bad. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO he remakes his fourth iced coffee, coffee, cream, ice and I sweeten myself. I'm sure I could have just stuck in my finger to do the trick, but I opted for 2 packs of Splenda instead. YUMMMMMMMMMM!! It was good!!!! Ordeal number two down.

D~ Since hubby was jealous I went to eat luch without him we had to go out to dinner. Went to Shucker's for seafood. Had a few shelled peanuts and a pound of Snow Crab Legs. Super yum!!! No ordeal, except there was a pesky fly.

We'll see what Mr. Scale has to say tomorrow. I think Aunt Flo is about to come for her visit. Darn her!

LUB YA'LL!

I've never tried to sweeten anything with my finger, i think my kids have but that's another journal. We used to call Aunt Flo "Larry".. We'd be out in public and comment to one another " oh Larry dropped by" (we were 18 and stupid). Then i married a guy named Larry, so i guess the jokes on me! Anyway enough of the journaljack, sorry.

I can't believe it's so hard for some people to understand directions!!

Well, everything has been good. Hectic, but good. I did eat sushi last night, but that was after not having anything all day and I did NOT feel like paying a lot for the hibachi dinner at the japanese place. Thursday is going to be a planned day away from lc. We are having our "Celebration" for the end of the Specialist classes!!!! I'm sooooooooooooo excited I'm done!!!!! Everyone is taking a brunch-type dish. I'm taking mini quiches since they are easy to heat and carry. Just don't have time to fix a big casserole. It'll be ok, though. Also, DS is coming home from Europe tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've missed him like crazy!!! I'm sure we'll grab something to eat. That may not be too difficult.

Well, just stopping by real quick. See ya!
