Busting A Deuce

At a family gathering, my brother in law was describing someone he knew as "busting a deuce". The phrase stuck with me.

I'm busting a deuce, actually quite a bit more than a "deuce". (The phrase is slang for weighing over two hundred pounds.)

I've tried low carb before, but was never able to stick with it. (Low fat/high carb had done nothing for me except help me get to my high of 277.4.)

I don't know what's different this time, except that I want to lose weight for myself, instead of always feeling guilty for being this big and trying to lose just because I was "unacceptable".

The other thing that happened was that this past weekend, my younger brother had a HEART ATTACK! He is doing well now, but it was just one more huge wake up call for me. I would like to avoid that ambulance ride, if I can help it.

So here I am at ten pounds lost, and hoping with all my heart that my loss will continue...

PS Feel free to drop by and visit any time.
