~*~Bobbins trip to the Tri & Beyond~*~

Wed. 5/30
Well, it's only 6 1/2 weeks to my Triathlon, and I'm scared out of my mind! My workout buddy has dropped out on me, so I'm alone in this now. The swim will be fine, I can walk if I have to during the 5k, but the 12 mile mostly up hill bike has me completely freaked out. Add to that I have let myself fall for the old trick of setting my self up for failure by setting a "I will weigh xxx by xxx date" Every time I do this for some reason I eat like a mad woman! Oh, and I'll be 40 in 8 1/2 weeks (another missed opportunity~wanted to be at goal by then)

I guess there's one thing I can be proud of, as of tomorrow it's 4 weeks since my last cigarette. Yeah, I was planning on doing the Danskin triathlon to support breast cancer as a smoker...funny. My assistant said "What are you gonna do, jump out of the water and light up while you change into your biking gear?" Ahahaha, she's so darn funny. It did make me think, though. I can't meet my weight goal by the time I turn the decade, but I can meet my non-smoker goal.

Well, there's no use in lamenting over my failure, all I can do is my best to make it through this thing. I have been back on program since Sunday. I'm far from perfect, don't always get in the veggies, water & vitamins, but I'm hoping keeping a journal will help me with that. Anyway, on to today:

Breakfast: 2 SF sausage patties, 2 eggs
Lunch: deli roast turkey, 2 slices pepper jack
Snack: small handful of peanuts
Dinner: 3 chicken legs, cucumber/ginger/jalapeno salad

Water: not a drop
Workout: 1/2 mile lap swim, 40 m. deep water aerobics
Vitamins: No.

Thoughts: I should have eaten more today, I am just starving right now. I need to pack more food to eat during the day at work.

I've been working in our downtown office since February, which I hate, and next Monday is my last day!! Wahoo, I'll be back in my own office, at my own desk, working with my own clients. No more 2 hour commute every day in rush hour traffic, I'm thrilled! Being closer to home will give me a more relaxed schedule for workouts and spending time with my family. This has been a major source of stress for me the past few months.

Oh, and my morning WI was down 2 more pounds for a total of 6.5 since Sunday. WOW! I must keep in mind that I could gain that back OVERNIGHT if I start back up with the sugar and flour...

Breakfast: SF bacon n' eggs
Lunch: mixed veggie salad w/ turkey, bacon, boiled egg, low carb ranch
Dinner:

Water:
Workout: 12 mile bike, lower body weights
Vitamin:
