Another good day. I even resisted temptation. I was just feeling cooped up last night. My poor dog George was driving me crazy because he's feeling cooped up too. It's so cold here right now we just can't go for a walk. Poor George! He was very naughty trying to use up some energy. The dog walker is coming today (she's going to freeze even if the sun is out) so George will be feeling better.
Winter makes me so sad sometimes. Depressed I might say. It's dark! It's cold! I don't feel like doing anything! Blerg. I haven't been working out; I haven't been walking George; I haven't been going to the gym. I blame it all on the cold. What a wuss! lol This weekend's plan is: I have a delegate meeting tomorrow morning, then I will come home and do my Callanetics DVD if it KILLS ME!!!! What a procrastinator! Then I have to pay bills and clean my office. Then the bathroom. Get a walk in for George too if it isn't too cold. On Sunday DF and I are going to pick his sister up at the airport at 6:00 a.m.!! Eek. Then we'll go for breakfast. Then when I get home I'm cleaning the rest of the day and later that night will be bowling. Here are yesterday's stats:

It wasn't French dressing I had, but I couldn't find vinaigrette in FitDay. I was out of Marie's dressing.

Sue, I'm a beast. A lazy beast. I haven't done Callanetics even once this week. Every night I had an excuse.
Saturday is planned for it. I will report back. I want it to become a habit. |

I am reading in my journal and see all the nice people that popped in to say hi to me and it is making me cry!
I've been struggling for a while with sadness; working very hard to feel better. Deep down in my heart I know a lot of it is related to being heavy and not exercising. Kinda shallow hmm? But is it? Being heavy makes it harder to even FEEL good. I feel sluggish and unmotivated. Thank god spring is finally showing up. The weather has been so much better. I'm getting outside with George and everything. Whew . . . I was over at Twyla's journal reading about her re-feed day. It's intriguing! I am on plan again. Today is day 2 and I'm feeling good. |

Isn't it wonderful to have all the great people here for support? I thank you for yours.
![]() Sorry you've been sad, but I totally understand. I think sometimes that I've wasted so many years being overweight, but they are certainly not a waste. So many good memories with friends and family that make no judgment about how much I weight. So, think of all the good times you've had. ![]() |

Twyla posted this in her journal:
Bullsh**. I have 3 sons, work full time, and spend one hour commuting each day to work. But I somehow fit it in. I RARELY watch TV -- maybe on the weekends. I meet my demands. I do what has to be done. But I make time for me in the mornings. And it's totally worth the sacrifice. If we want it to happen, we make it happen. Even if it means getting up at the ungodly hour of 5:00 a.m. to get it done. It has to become a priorty. But only if you want it bad enough. I am going to read this over and over. DaiseyGG,
Please don't be sad. Know how much you're loved. There are a lot of people who deeply care about you. But you know what? You have to love yourself first. REALLY LOVE YOURSELF. How do you treat people you love? You make sacrifices for them to show your love, right? Make a sacrifice for YOU. It's time that you come first. Do you want it? How bad? Don't look back. Today is the first day of the rest of your life. ![]() |

My daughter and I are going to workout tonight too. This is very good.
This summer I've been walking and biking, but nothing dedicated. With this Warrior diet I feel so much energy that I feel I'll be able to get home and want to work out. Especially with Sarah helping me be motivated. I'll report back. |

Day #3
Very good day. In fact, I might not have eaten enough if you can believe. Very busy night. I worked late, worked out with Sarah (yay!), had some chores - then the night was over! Tummy is growling right now (8:40 a.m.), but I'm drinking coffee and water and it will pass. Plan is to work out again tonight. We are using the Jackie Warner dvd I bought a few months ago. It totally kicked out butt. We are both so very out of shape, but I can tell this will work. I also want to incorporate some Callanetics for myself. Sarah doesn't seem too interested in that, but I can totally do that on my own. Last edited by DaisyGG; 08-07-2008 at 08:01 AM.. |

Hi Daisy,
Thanks for the note in my journal. I think the Warrior's Diet works well for lots of people. I really like the concept. I tried my own version (think Intermittent Fasting meets Warriors Diet) and failed. The problem was likely my deciding I would do it my way ![]() Glad you're liking it and I'm sure all the exercise will help too! |

Have a great day. ![]() |

I had a very fun weekend, and feel I did good. Friday and Saturday I stayed in my window. Yesterday (Sunday) was okay. Sundays are always a challenge since DBF and I like to have breakfast together in the morning.
I feel good and got flirted with numerous times Friday night. That's always very good for the old self-esteem. I did plenty of flirting myself. All in good fun. Waaaaaay too much to drink. Very fun time though. Sometimes a girl weekend is just the perfect thing. DBF and I are very busily planning the remodel of his house. I'm so excited because then we can finally live together and plan our wedding. ![]() |

Yesterday was pretty good. I did eat a few treats that really didn't do me any good.
![]() Had some delicious guacamole with whole-grain chips. That wasn't too bad. But I also had a cookie, a small candy bar, and a small ice cream treat. Those things I could do without. I have this stuff in the house for DBF. I have to pretend it's poison. ![]() On the good side, dinner was delicious. Pork chops and red potatoes. Did not work out. This week is going to be very busy. I need to find time to fit in the exercise. |

Down another pound from my siggy weight. I am feeling amazing. The energy is great. I really love not feeling like a soggy pile of tired when I get home. I am go go go. Which is a good thing - I have so much going on right now.
DBF and I are engaged (since Feb!) and after plan after plan involving trying to sell both of our houses, one of our houses, renting our houses, etc. we have decided to do a smallish remodel of his house, rent my little cottage to my DD and her fiance, and I will move into his house. Very exciting times. We have started the ball rolling with a kitchen redo (met with the designer last night and the cupboards are being ordered today) and we are meeting with a contractor to enclose the loft area so it's not so noisy for the poor person sleeping (DBF since I get up much earlier than him) in the morning. DBF is being such a dear about the changes I need and want. I'm a contemporary girl and DBF's house was decorated pretty much traditional. When he divorced 8 years ago he had his sister do the whole thing. He's not much on decorating, but he wanted it to look nice. She did a great job, but it's not really my style. Luckily he is loving everything I want to do. I am so excited about this and tell him every day how awesome he's being about all the changes. I am a lucky girl. |

Had a hard weekend. Lots to do and lots to plan. I'm not going to let this damn remodel get to me. I cranked at my sweet DBF and that isn't fair. Poor boy.
I did my kitchen in my little house last Summer and it was hard! At least this time I am not living in the space that's being remodeled. I need to get a grip. The good news is I've been walking George every day and working hard on the site. Probably won't get to squeeze in real workouts, but all this work is very physical so I'm not feeling too bad about not having the time (for real). I need to figure out how to stay IFing over the weekends though. Maybe adjust my window somehow to incorporate brunch and supper. I'll have to think about it. And I am definitely not having Chinese any more. That really derailed me. |

I can imagine that doing a remodel can be very stressful. We did so much to our former house, and with babies. I don't know how I did it!
Working hard and walking George are all good exercise. Weekends can be tough. Wishing you a great on plan week. ![]() |

I am adjusting my thinking today. I've been using IFing as an excuse to eat badly! I'm reading around on the boards today and feel it's time to up my fats, reduce my carbs, and eliminate my sugar.
I did a lot of reading yesterday about adrenal fatigue and eating better will help me better there too. I'm not having much luck with the sleeping, but am making certain that I am laughing a lot. That's an easy fix with my silly DBF. He makes me laugh every day. ![]() |
