I'm dragging today. But I'm on plan and feeling great about that.
I need to start making time for workouts. Not just riding my bike around with George and Scott (George is getting fantastic with the bikes! He loves it.) This week has something going on every night. In fact tonight Scott and I are going to look at a spec house. We're thinking about building a house, selling our two houses, and moving in together. Eeeeek! Wowza! The spec house is lovely! We want to push out moving for about nine months. Just the thought of moving gives me twitches. lol Tomorrow my Realtor friend is coming to let me know what my house is worth. I've done lots of updates since buying it last February. Thursday I'm getting my hair cut and fighting the raging-regrowth. ![]() I have to MAKE TIME. I will report back. Pluses - staying on plan, riding bike with George and Scott, feeling good. I won't think about the minuses right now (channeling my Scarlett).

Still doing great. Scott, Lauren, and I went out last night to Applebee's for a quick bite and I had a lite beer with buffalo wings and shrimp.
Not perfect, but not horrible. |

I first low-carbed back in 2002. I easily lost about 20-25 pounds in a rather quick timeframe. I loved the plan and loved how I felt. It seemed pretty easy to make good decisions and I don't remember struggling with those choices.
I am struggling now! I keep starting and stopping - starting and stopping. It's damn frustrating. Beginning today again. |

I should add that I didn't play around with low carbing on a whim either. I lived the plan for well over two years. Consistantly. I don't even know how I slipped off. I do know it was a slow slip. A thing here. A thing there. And the weight slowly came back. Because of bad choices, not because low carbers gain all their weight back just because the go off plan. I made bad choices. Ate too many calories. Stopped going to the club. All these things.

Feeling good today. Really good! Scott is going to Vegas for a few days (family thing - I begged off since I'm not a huge fan of Vegas) so I'm going to use the time to organize myself at home and get to the club. I want to start a habit that I can continue when he's back and not let him derail me. Not that he does, but I use him as an excuse.
I'm hosting a party-plan thing with my daughter on Saturday afternoon and then some of my friends are going to stay for a bit and we'll have a mini-girl's night. Should be fun. My house cleaner left a message (I had only hired her three months ago) and has stopped cleaning houses to care for a relative. That's okay - I wasn't loving having a cleaning lady anyway. I'm too fussy! I used one of the recipes in my binder for breakfast. Some cream cheese, an egg, and a bit of sweetener, with a few blueberries thrown in. It was very good! I made SugarFreeSheila's meatballs last night. Scott loved them although I did set off the smoke alarm from the frying. |

I had a great day yesterday. DD and I even ran George on the bikes down to the river for about a half hour ride. The wind was blowing like mad and it was difficult. George was pooped.
Did good with eating. Here is my ******. The Schwan's Fudge Stick was a little naughty, but I had just gotten them and was curious to try. The calories are low and it was quite delicious. |

I know I shouldn't be hopping on the scale every day, but I do and it hasn't budged a bit.
Not the right attitude. On the plus side, I stayed on plan. I need to up that water though. Sue - if you drop in - I should choke you for giving out that brownie recipe! I made a batch last night and had one after eating Linda Sue's Diner "Potatoes" twice in one day. Lots of calories yesterday! That brownie is delicious. Can I eat another one for breakfast? ![]() DBF left last night and his flight was later than he thought so he wanted to hang with me before he left. DD and I didn't get to the gym as a result. Tonight I promise. ![]() |

Sorry for posting the recipe.
But, there isn't anything bad in it so I've decided not to feel guilty about eating them. I've gone through a month of not doing well, probably only 10% or less of the time, but still, I finally decided that it was better to have this stuff than the real bad stuff.Sorry you didn't get to the gym yesterday, but today is another day. |

You're not sorry! hehehe
It's delicious and actually pretty good for us as you said. I did have another piece for breakfast. Do you generally cut it into four pieces? Here is what I ate yesterday. Lots of calories again! I better save those Diner "Potatoes" for a treat. They are nummy though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hmm . . . having troubles uploading my file. Too small to see! Trust me when I say it was good carbs, but too many calories. Last edited by DaisyGG; 10-25-2007 at 07:08 AM.. |

The recipe is tweaked from the 3 minute chocolate cake recipe. I quadrupled most ingredients except the eggs. So, cutting it in quarters would be good. I cut mine into 8 pieces so it would last longer.
My eyes are failing at 47 years old and I surely cannot read your ****** journal. |

Ugh. Irritating! I have been a wreck (not a wrecking ball!) for the past month or so. I don't know why, but I am dragging, dragging, dragging. Stuck and getting worse.
I'll soldier-on. I refuse to give in to any of this. |

I do feel better today. Having a plan always helps me. I am a planner and this is now in my planner big time.
I did yoga last night! Me! It was HARD!! I have to believe a change is coming. My new little avi makes me happy every time I look at it. I want to focus on the gifts this season can give me. Focus on my health, my lovely family, the good man in my life, the job I enjoy, the friends that love me, and the change I see in my future. ![]() |

I drove DBF to the airport this morning. He is off on a boy's weekend so I am having a girl's weekend a bit. His sister and I are going to go out and play some pool. I am a terrible pool player, but what the heck. DBF's family is VERY competitive and I simply do not have a competitive bone in my body. Probably due to the fact that I'm terrible at most sport and game-type things.
![]() Yesterday was mostly good. I was busy getting DBF ready for his trip so I didn't get any yoga in. Tonight I am planning on going to the club for cardio and then home to do yoga. |

Daisy~you reminded me of myself because I'm not competitive either, probably because I am NOT athletic in the least bit - never have been.
