Friday and Saturday
Another really good day. I just read the Schwarzbein Principle and now I'm reading The Schwarzbein Principle II. Can I say ARRRRG??!! I can't really TELL what is going on. The books seem random to me and I can't get to the meat of what I want to know. It definitely could be my brain though. The information seems bogged down. And a bit dated to tell the truth. And I'm reading these tomes on the advice of my nutritional clinic! And some of the info flies in the face of what they've told me. Okay - I'll process, but these books bottom-line message (that I'm getting as of this morning) is I am damaged and it will be a long, hard, road getting back. So discouraging! Here is the good news. I am binge-free for five days. That seems small, but I'm feeling good about it. Yesterday I wanted to binge really bad. I had a snack made with heavy cream instead. I whipped in my magic bullet some cream, some cocoa powder, some blueberry syrup (no-carb), and a stevia packet. Totally staved off the binge-monster. Yay me. I had little red potatoes with dinner. I hope that doesn't set anything off, but right now (Sunday morning) I'm feeling good. Friday Mangia B: 2 hardboiled eggs with some mayo and chopped pickles L: Pup wanted me to come to lunch with him at Subway so I had a sub-salad. Kinda icky, but the best choice I could make there. The dressing was ick. Next time I'll do oil and balsamic. I didn't even think about it! <duh!!> S: Went out with family. Had delicious glass of red wine, a 6 oz filet, a nice dinner salad with blu cheese dressing, and some broccoli. Concentrated on my wine instead of the bread. Yay me! Really delicious meal. Saturday Mangia B: IFing through breakfast. Had coffee with cream. I have school at 9:00 on Saturday mornings! Yuck! L: 1/2 leftover sweet potato with butter, leftover spinach, and some leftover chicken breast D: 2 new potatoes with butter, green beans, 5 oz chicken breast that had marinated in Worcestershire sauce and olive oil S: splash of cream, cocoa powder, blueberry syrup, stevia; whipped up for a little pudding Esercizio None ![]()

Sunday
Mangia Another good day. Yay me! We even went to our first Drive-In of the year with the top of the Beemer down and I didn't succumb to french fries. I ordered naked chicken tenders, hot coffee (I was cold!!), and coleslaw. With all that being said and the past couple of really good days, I feel kinda puffy and swollen. I guess it doesn't help I have been sitting most of the day in a desk chair studying. Ankles swell up when I sit here all day. Blech! Esercizio No exercise all weekend. Hoooo boy, that's not good. I had to study all day and am just finishing up now. <sheepish face> B: 2 fried eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 piece of Trader Joe sprouted wheat bread with butter, coffee with cream and stevia L: A trail mix made up of walnuts, almonds, other nuts I can't remember right now. I had 1/4 cup D: 3 naked chicken tenders - I figure about 5 oz of chicken breast, about 1/4 cup of homemade coleslaw, cup of coffee S: 2 small pieces of 86% cocao chocolate - num! Macros cal - 1,243 fat - 63 percent carb - 17 percent protein - 20 percent water - 16 oz 61.6g - protein 59.3g - carbs 13.2g - fiber I wasn't certain how to enter the tenders so I picked something from the database. Maybe mine didn't have all the carbs they allot in ******. I'll choose to think that. My carbs were above the optimum level (according to Mark Sisson) of 50 for weight loss, but if I decide to subtract fiber I was in the good range. The calories might seem low for others, but it sure seems like I shouldn't eat over 1500. I really want some weight loss! Overall I'm very happy with my week. Pup and I will weigh in tomorrow morning to see how this first week went for us. Last edited by DaisyGG; 03-28-2010 at 08:15 PM.. |

I am stuck! Stuck stuck stuck.
Hanging around over at marksdailyapple.com, I ran across a post from a woman who is around my age and was previously having trouble with losing. Could 24 hour IF's stall weight loss? I did some investigating and thought I'd give this JUDDD (http://www.johnsonupdaydowndaydiet.c...-the-diet.html) a try. The cycling is interesting and I'm hoping it will jolt me into something. I'm nearly done with my second book, The Schwarzbein principle II. I am convinced my adrenals are burned out. Sounds like it can take a looooong time to get them back into shape. Sleeping is my biggest boogaboo. And it plays havoc with everything else. I am going to work on that seriously. Tonight I am going to have my magnesium drink while relaxing with a cookbook. My goal would be to get in a solid seven hours. I always feel that my sleep is light. Never deeply into it. I wake bunches of times during the night. Grr and ick! So today is my first day on JUDDD. Started with a down day and I'm planning on having Twyla's muffin in a little bit for my last bit of calories for the day. I did 30 minutes of Callanetics this morning and will do another 30 minutes tomorrow. I have to say that my knee has been feeling every so much better. Especially when I stick to my sugar avoidance. Yay! Last edited by DaisyGG; 04-12-2010 at 02:55 PM.. |

Oh! I almost forgot!
Pup and I ordered 1/4 grass-fed Bessie from a friend of one of his sisters. I am excited to have good meat in the house. We already are partway into a lovely piggy from one of Pup's uncles. With the growing season coming on the farmer's markets will be opening and I'll be able to buy some local greens and fruits. Nummy! |

Alright. I made Twyla's Protein Muffin, but my microwave baked the living helicopter out of it (shout out to Ruby!). I liked it though. I feel nicely not hungry.

Monday
Started JUDDD today. It was very hard to keep the calories down. According to my math, I was to keep my calories below 400. Didn't work! Could it have been that dab of butter on my muffin? Mangia I had a protein shake midday and a protein muffin a bit ago. Some green tea. Some black tea. I need more water. Esercizio 30 minutes Callanetics. Macros cal - 494 fat - 48 percent carb - 9 percent protein - 43 percent water - 16 oz 53.5g - protein 11.5g - carbs 0g - fiber I have an up day tomorrow. Nice to know! |

I'm really a Chatty-Cathie today aren't I?
The first day (how many times have I said that phrase??) of JUDDD was good. It was weird not eating much. I'm not so much hungry as thinking I NEED something. That really shows me that much of my eating is simply habit. I'm drinking my magnesium drink and relaxing in bed with a catalog of cute clothes. I am now putting away this damn netbook. It's so addictive! I'm already thinking about the nummy scrambled eggs I'm going to make for breakfast for me and Pup. |

![]() ![]() ![]() God, it's great to laugh in the morning! By the way, another yummy way to eat it -- and keep cals down -- is to slice in half, spray it with LC spray butter, and pour 1 Tbs of sugar free maple syrup over the slices, just enuf for flavor. I also added a pinch of cloves to one I made the other morning. So many variations. Good luck with JUDD. Hope this is the "trick" for you. You KNOW I'll be watchin'. If not, keep in mind what I keep wearing you out with: Don't go too low (consistently) on your daily calories.

Holy Crapinoli! Do they feel pretty safe because they're platforms? I bet they are the cutest. I love platforms. I feel steady and unafraid in them.

Tuesday
Second day of JUDDD. Just found out what that acronym even means. I'm such a dork! LOL! Mangia Busy day so I had some ground beef leftovers and later some wasa crackers with cheese and salsa. So, could have made better choices, but not bad overall. Esercizio Another 30 minutes Callanetics. Macros cal - fat - percent carb - percent protein - percent water - oz g - protein g - carbs g - fiber I didn't track my macros, but I figure I had about 1800 calories when I did a quick add in my head. |
