How insane is Japan?? Be glad you were never a smoker. I quit smoking 13 years ago (I think? A long time ago) so, of course, I HATE smoking. My DD1 smokes and my sister still smokes. It's so smelly and hurtful to your body.

They're a tough thing to quit though. Worse for women.

Just the little bit I've been doing has my knee feel better. I kinda hate to say this, but my doctor is so wrong. I understand not treadmilling, but he said no working out until the swelling goes away. I fear it is NOT going away and I need to workout.

Getting this blood moving can't be a bad thing yes?

No headache this morning. Yay! Good night sleep even though I cheated a bit by taking Tylanol PM. That stuff is great, but I'm trying to not use it as a crutch.

I am working on a freelance project today. Need to get focused on it.

Any big plans for Easter? Do you and Pupcake do a family thing?

I am about 10 years short of medical degree, but I agree with you, that getting the blood moving is a good thing. Just be gentle and listen to your body.

How are you liking the whey powder? I had major clumpage issues and it was gross, though the taste was fine. I bought some whey protein isolate and it mixes a lot better. It tastes like a chocolate shake!! LOVE that.

Ohhh yes it is.... I love it !! I cut them in half to use as 2 wraps...
or into 1/4's and put a lil olive oil or butter spray on them...and put them in the
oven on 250 for about 20 min... that crisps them up nice for like a tostada.!!

Yo Daisy & everyone!

Long time no talk!

Howzit?? Everyone ready for Summertime??

Sorry to have dropped off the face of the earth ...
Life has been a wild roller coaster ride for the past few months!
Lots of up's & down's; good & bad ~ but mostly up/good!

Just returned from 3 weeks in Texas ~ (my new Avi is me, hubby, 1.5 year old grandson, Danny - this is the day after my step-daughter's wedding on 4/4/09) ~ wonderful wedding & fantastic family that she married into!

Oh and I start my new job on Monday, 5/4 -- woo hoo!

Warning: I will (soon) blow the dust off my Journal and resume posting there ~ so please come visit me, K?

I'm holding steady my 15 lb weight loss from last year; but need get back in the saddle & into the mindset to lose the other 15 lbs!

I Have Really Missed Coming Here

I am back to chart this ride.

I've been reading around the site and poking into journals I've always enjoyed reading. Twyla is kicking buttay as usual. She is awesome!

Looks like most everyone is doing well. I am ready to do well.

What I Have Been Doing
  1. rejoined my club
  2. doing yoga
  3. decided on an eating plan

My plan is The Primal Lifestyle. I've been hanging around over on Marksdailyapple.com for a while and know that this is the right way for me. I am going to supplement this plan with Intermittent Fasting twice a week.

It feels good to be posting here again.

Mangia
Made chicken salad with leftover cornish hens from Christmas day. Added mayo and slivered almonds. Delicious! Sliced some avocado in there as well. Really good.

Wanted to IF a bit today and since I wasn't starving/hungry so I had a mug of chicken broth with a splash of heavy cream. Really good as well.

I finished off the day with some sleepy tea from Good Earth and a couple of dark chocolate squares (86% cacao)

Esercizio
Played wii for about an hour. Don't get me talking about that mii bich. She has such things to say the little beast. Ha!

Feeling a bit punk today. Not surprising considering I am coming off a sugar-binge extraordinaire. I'll do some yoga later in the day to help stretch out the aches and pains.

Just boiled some eggs and had two with a bit of butter. Nummy!

Here is an addition to our little family. We've had Calvin for a little over a year now. He and George get along great believe it or not! Considering that George's breed has a high prey drive. Calvin doesn't run, so George doesn't chase.

Felt really crappy today and had some major cravings. I offset them by having more hard boiled eggs and later in the afternoon I had hot green tea with a splash of HWC.

After dinner I had horrible cravings so I put a bit of HWC in my magic bullet and a dollop of organic apple butter (no sugar). That seems to have warded off any trouble I may have gotten myself into. Yay!

Esercizio
Took George for a walk this afternoon (cold, but nicely sunny!) I am going to do some stretching or the massage chair soon. I'm ready for bed I swear. I hope this is just low carb "flu." I'm looking at this as a good sign. A sign I'm getting the crap out of my system.

All in all a good day. I will feel better tomorrow.

I feel much better this morning. I think I pulled something in my back playing golf on the wii with Pupcake. That makes me laugh so hard! That is just wrong! I'll rewrite that script that I pulled the muscle working my wii fit yes? Yeah, that's how it happened.

We have such a blast playing the wii sports though. Bowling and golf especially. Pupcake is incredibly competitive and it's so funny to hear my normally mild-mannered Pup turn into a expletive-spurting dude. He makes me laugh!

I slept like mad last night too! I am not a good sleeper and last night I slept over 9 hours. Me! Oh and it felt marvelous!

I'm off to the ophthalmologist this morning and meeting DD2 at the club for some elliptical torture tonight.

Here's to all of us having a great and healthy day.
