Arrg!

I am sitting here waiting for the counter installer to make an appearance so I can leave for work. He was supposed to be here by 8:00. Not around 8:00 he said; before 8:00. It's now 8:11.

Sigh . . .

I'm starving and haven't had any coffee yet (insert tiniest violin you can find). lol

Here are my nutritional stats from yesterday. Weight is the same. I ate potato chips.

Also - I grabbed a yogurt parfait yesterday thinking it was a sugar-free choice. I checked it out and NO it wasn't. It had 38 carbs in it. Oh dear!

The counter-installer-guy did show up and had to do his blah-blah-blah with me. I must have a face that makes people think I care [kidding!!].

So when I get home tonight I should have a kitchen with a counter. Tomorrow my sink goes in. With any luck I should be able to cook something by Saturday.

Friday is my birthday and DBF is taking me, my two daughters, and their DBF out for dinner at a snazzy steak place here downtown.

George is not invited.

I posted earlier somewhere about triggers and said how stress is my huge trigger.

Well, I just got home, walked into my kitchen and oh what a mess. I can't even describe. I stood right there in the middle of the mess and scooped up sugar free ice cream until it was gone. It wasn't tons of ice cream, but jeez.

I don't even know where to start! The guy sawed in there so there's a coating everywhere. And he laid the long pieces in my livingroom and moved furniture around to accomodate that. And he moved the stove into the dining room. None of this stuff was put back.

I am glad yesterday is gone. Today is a great day. My counters look awesome. I am going to love this kitchen. The layout is so much better than it was. In the light of day it's beautiful.

I won't fret about everything I did yesterday and move forward.

Tomorrow is my birthday, the sun is shining, the weather is perfect, and my hair is having a really good day.

Today is a good day. We're going out tonight and that should be fun with DBF and my two girls. And my nearly-there son-in-law (they're engaged).

Tomorrow I am going to concentrate on getting my kitchen in order and cleaning my very very dusty coated house. I'll take pictures!

Tic, I did not eat cake, but I had a FABULOUS steak, salad, and asparagus at Manny's steak house. OMG so good.

DBF had invited both my daughters and their boys (youngest opted out to bring her boy - too much pressure I'm afraid.

It was a beautiful night and we had a beautiful time. I carried my cute new bag and wore kickin' shoes. I was hot.

Oldest DD got me a darling Coach bag with a little daisy on it and youngest DD got me a new outfit. Life is so good.

Life is good, but I'm being so challenged with all of this. I'm struggling with a tiny bit of depression (I'm certain it is hormone related). It doesn't help that I've lived in such chaos for such a long time. I'm soldiering on.

I have been researching joint pain for some of the morning. I am in constant pain and don't want to start going to find out what it is. Knees, hips, back, sometimes neck.

I'm looking into some homeopathic tactics. I will report back.

I've been eating pretty good. Now that I have a kitchen (yea!). I made Twyla's bark yesterday. I ate too much of it though. I didn't want any dinner because of that!.

Hey Sweet Daisy

SO glad ur back, missed u journal buddy. Can't wait 2 c the kitchen. Love the glimpse of wall color in the pic u posted previously, it appears some 1 has an artistic flare. I am so jealous of all the cute bags u r getting. Thanx 4 the journal comp, as u can tell I luv 2 journal, been doing it since I was 9, I also have a smile inside that always seems 2 flare up when I type, so I share. .

I am really sorry 2 hear u have a touch of the downs, couldn't tell from ur posts u always appear light and fun, that's why I keep blazingly(no sneaking 4 me) coming in. Sending u a smile like the 1 ur posts give me. Remember "If ur feeling down, think 2 urself, I'm a princess and spin around"(bit of wisdom from my daughter).

Missed u, thought DF had whisked, u away 2 some exotic local . I am so happy u enjoyed ur Bday, it sounds like u had a charmed night. U r hot w/ or w/ out the shoes(maybe a bit Ellie May-ish (circa Beverly Hill Billies) w/ o the shoes, but still HOT like fire)

I had joint pains when I was heavier, and everything has seemed 2 remedy itself since I have shed some lbs, I also take glucosamine, it was recommended 2 me, it seems 2 be working like a charm.

Glucosamine! I had a memory of this, but couldn't place it. I'll check that out too.

I'll spin to make myself happy! Just like your teeny darling.

Yesterday I spent a good deal of time organizing my kitchen and dining room. I loaded up my china hutch and just seeing that and my kitchen organized made me happy!

I am going to hug DBF extra tonight just because he's such an awesome guy.

I had a good day yesterday. DBF and I went to Sears to get my over the range microwave (carpenter-boy is installing tomorrow) and then we went to the grocery store. I got him pie and rolls. I didn't have any. It's hard with that stuff around! He's bad.

I had a yo-cheese, flax meal, Davinci's, and blueberry breakfast. It was really good. I like the yo-cheese and want to thank Twyla for the recipe. It really is so creamy and delicious.

The weather here has been fantastic the past few days. I think that all employers should give employees the day off on Fridays when the weather is like this. It's perfect out there. The sun is shining, it's 71 degrees, and the dew point is low. How can you beat that?

I just ate something so nummy. I was in a hurry (hey - at least I packed a lunch!) and grabbed some quick stuff for lunch. Two wieners, a piece of provolone, and I made this:

yo-cheese
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder
a splash of vanilla Davinci's
a small handful of frozen blueberries

Oh my gosh it was delicious. I like the protein powder.

I was reading a thread yesterday about CO and need to get that into my daily plan. I only tried Twyla's bark one day. I'll make some this weekend.

Kitchen is now with a microwave over the range, all the knobs on the drawers, and the quarter-round has been installed. Quite lovely. Hopefully the stools I ordered will come soon to complete. Oh and I have to paint yet.

Bought some Glucosamine yesterday along with DHEA. I'm going to lick this joint pain.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to try the Callan DVD for the first time. No more procrastination. I will report what happens.

Poor George was only walked by the dog walker this week. I played ball with him in the yard last night, but I think he misses our walks. I will get out there this weekend a bit if my joints cooperate.

Holiday week this week. I'm not taking any extra time off so it will be so quiet at work! Maybe I can sneak out sometime Thursday and check out the sales at Macy's. I have a hair appointment on Friday too.

I joined a challenge group here and I'm hoping that having to be accountable for my written goals will kick my butt. This slump has to end!

Onward.

I had gained three pounds over the weekend and changed my stats to reflect that, but this morning it was gone already so I again changed my stats. I think for accountability I need to change the stats as often as my weight changes. I need to own the number whatever it is.

Also, I need to weigh myself only once a week. Monday should be the day. So now I will not weigh myself until Monday. I promise.

Yesterday was a good day.

Here are my stats from yesterday.

I also managed to drink five or six cups of water. Not enough I know, but a vast improvement.

I also took ALL of my vitamins.

I didn't get a chance to do my Callan DVD (what a procrastinator), but I worked like a mo-fo in the garage sweeping, cleaning, and breaking down boxes. I played with George quite a bit too throwing the ball and such.

I'm happy!

DBF and I are finally going to paint the kitchen tomorrow. Yea and yea! He thinks we can do a ceramic back splash ourselves too. I'm going to do a plain white square with white grout. It will look so fresh!

After my wonderful success on the 4th I ate chips yesterday! Eee gads. Not millions of them, but I ate them.

I need to pay attention to triggers. Stress is huge. Entitlement is huge too. But you would think that the cute clothes in my closet that are begging me to wear them would be motivation.

Baby steps. I'm way better than I was a week ago.

I'm drinking my water today!

Kitchen is fabu. I'm struggling, but kitchen is fabu!

I decided to have tomato juice for breakfast (on the run this morning) and now I'm very bloated. Not a good idea for breakfast only I'm thinking.

Here are pics of the kitchen!

You are so right Tic! I love tomato juice, but I don't want to go through that again. I was running late and thought that would be a good choice. Not!
