I was just checking my macros from 2002 when I first started Atkins. I can see that for the most part I had fat over 75% and was sustaining good weight loss. I was a very good low-carber for two years and slowly fell off the wagon when my marriage fell apart in 2004 and my momma got sick and died from cancer.
I've tried self-delusional techniques over the past couple of years and thought I could handle DBF's sugar-filled lifestyle. I just need to say no. No explanation - no excuses - just no. No big deal needs to be made of it. I can't eat that way! I just can't Obviously! This discovery makes me even more determined. I'm anxious to get myself moved into DBF's house and finish this remodel so we can start our life together. I could concentrate on the workout room in the basement since that's my baby. This is freeing.

Sandy, I'm going to have my Fluidity bar, a TV with DVD player for my workout dvds (Callanetics and Jackie Warner mostly). We're going to get his treadmill back from his sis (she doesn't use it I guess; yay!). I have free weights and want to get a new balance ball (dog ate mine
). I think that is about it!What else would be good Sandy? |

Hey, Daisy.
Just checking in on you. Good plan of action you have there. Re your last Fitday....uh, where's the fiber, girl? Fiber is TOTALLY relevant in the big picture of weight loss success. Just keep that in mind. ![]() Have a great day. |

Yesterday's macros seem like they're lacking vegis too. There is a ton of broccoli in my quiche thank goodness, since I've been eating that like mad this week.
I will be cooking another one tonight, but will only be having it for breakfast tomorrow. I'll have a nice salad with a peep during lunch. As always, dinner is the challenge. It's incredibly tricky coming up with a good dinner plan when I am so busy at the remodel. And with this cooler weather my dog is crazy! No matter how long we walk he's still full of energy and naughtiness. Tonight I'm thinking a couple of burgers on the George Foreman for DBF and I. I can micro one of those delicious squash I picked up yesterday. |

Oh that is a lovely bag.
What I am really craving would be a Birkin wanna be. I am searching. Somebody must make one that I can buy for less that $10k. Can you even imagine paying ten thousand dollars for a handbag!! Insanity. $200-400 I can handle maybe. Huge maybe. Only for a prize for being a motivated girl. I do love that one you posted though! Lovely. |

I notice you're not trying to keep VLC levels, so with that bit of carb freedom, you might want to consider adding Fiber One to some of your eats. It's PACKED with crunch and fiber, and it's higher in protein that any other fiber cereal. I add a Tbs or two to my yogurt or cottage cheese for my "blizzards," and you'd be amazed at how it adds not only to the crunchy delish taste, but in reaching that elusive fiber quota. |

It adds a bit of carbs though. Would I be better off with flax?
The Fiber One sounds delicious though. Can I add yogurt? I do love greek yogurt. Or my version anyway - Twyla's yo-cheese. Do you still eat that Twyla? |

But I thought you were keeping carbs higher (30-50)? Why did I think that? If that's the case, 1-2 Tbs aren't going to hurt. They'll help more than they hurt. Can you add yogurt? Depends on your plan. I guess I was confused, thinking you're not eating strict Atkins, or induction level carbs. If you are, then you may want to reconsider. I still eat yocheese, but only on the week preceding TOM (it's higher fat). Other times I eat cottage cheese or Carb Master Yogurt. That smiley, it mirrors me yesterday morning.... ....I'm ashamed-- utterly ashamed. But people can be such morons on the highway! Why do they hang in the far left lane and go 10 miles UNDER the speed limit, blocking the flow of traffic for miles? WHY???? ![]()

I should restate my intentions so I'm clear with myself. I might be careening all over the place.
Here's what I'm thinking: 64 oz water 30-50 good carbs 75% fat more fiber 100 grams protein It's a juggling feat. |

Wednesday's Report
Another good day. When you are eating so much fat you really don't get hungry. I just had a delicious supper. A cauliflower bake. Tasted so sinful! Sausage, cauliflower, cream cheese baked until bubbly. Wow! I am very sleepy now though. I am making a pasta salad for a pot luck tomorrow in the office. There was a request for my particular salad. I'm hoping there are choices for me there. There really always are choices aren't there? I could even eat my salad. Just pick around the pasta. It's full of other good stuff like cukes, tomatoes, turkey ham, and cheddar. I really do need to get more fiber in here. I have some fiber tablets. Maybe I should have some? No exercise tonight - I have a few more things to accomplish. DBF is on his way over after a long night of pounding fencing posts. Last edited by DaisyGG; 10-01-2008 at 06:28 PM.. |

Good morning Sweet Daisy,
Quote:
, u living the plush life, my dream bags ain't even 1/2 that. Something about having a bag that cost more than I could carry in it makes me leary . I am a Jimmy Choo fan, and I am so frugal I can find those on sell and dream, LOL. The posted Coach was $758, and that knocked my socks of, but it is so lovely . U started my bag obsession w/ the pic of that bag on the counter , and the gift from ur at the time boyfriend (now fiance ), after that, I have never been right, LOL.

1 pound sausage - I used Jimmy Dean 1 pound frozen cauliflower - of course fresh would be awesome 8 oz cream cheese 1 good handful of shredded cheese - I used cheddar season as desired Brown sausage while boiling the cauliflower until tender. Combine everything in a casserole dish stirring until blended nicely. I broke up the cauliflower a bit, but left it kinda chunky. Bake about 25-30 minutes at 350. It was bubbling pretty good. Seriously delicious! You can check my Fitday for the carb counts. It even has fiber! Probably the only fiber I got yesterday! |

THANKS! I'm making this for dinner TONIGHT! I have 2 fresh heads of cauliflower in the fridge and of course plenty of cream cheese on hand - always. (I'm a SF cheesecake addict) I just saw a recipe (somewhere?) for "making your own sausage" (basically, just take grass-fed ground beef or organic beef/pork and add spices - yup it's that easy!

I just had a hiccup in my plan. I ate pasta salad during our potluck. A pretty good-sized helping too.
I won't let it make me be "oh what the hell." Nope! I am leaving here in about 45 minutes and I will hit the dvd as soon as I change clothes. |
