Des's final journey
Wow, wish I would have known about this place when I started! Well today is Saturday and I am at work. 6AM to 5PM *yawn*. The good side to this is that I get 3 days off during the week.
I'm currently less than 2 lbs away from being at 50 lbs lost. I'm hoping to get there by tuesday and I just may if my 'aunt flo' will make her visit short! lol! The biggest news is really that I'm completely off my diabetes medicine and my blood sugar ranges from 80-115 (can you say rock on!!!!) So I'm suppose to be exercising 6 days a week. I haven't made that yet!!! Oops My work schedule is Mon/Tues, Fri/Sat. My 'play games with my boyfriend' nights are tues/weds/thurs (6pm to 10pm). My exercise schedule: Monday - after work cardio for 35 minutes, stretch then make 6:30 Pilates class, then do upper arm lifts Wednesday - Get to gym by 8:00am, do cardio/stretching before 9:40 pilates class (note, this one hasnt happened yet!) then do leg lifts Thursday - Get to gym by 8:00am, do cardio/stretching before 9:40 Yoga class (I tend to do yoga then cardio/stretching cuz dont wanna get up on my days off!) Friday - after work cardio for 35 minutes, stretch Saturday - after work cardio for 35 minutes, stretch, upper arm lifts Sunday - 10amish cardio for 35 and stretching. I've made it 4 days a week consistantly for the last 3 weeks. Wednesdays usually go to crap for some reason or another. Appointments, having to work on my day off, usually something. Friday is a 'new addition' so not overly consistant. I'm really good from sat-mon and thursday I usually spend 3 hours at the gym total time! I find pilates 'easier' than yoga, because yoga hurts my arms. I'm not strong enough to lift my fat butt yet The pilates class, well it doesn't hurt me. I can't do it all, I get cramps in my legs sometimes, I cant always hold a position, but it doesn't hurt. Yoga hurts. I'm going to keep trying yoga though because the instructor asked me to give it 3 months. I'm just modifying most everything. Another big difference may be that I DO my cardio/stretching before pilates, yoga I tend to not get there in time and do that after. I'm sure that makes me more loose for pilates.I tried arobics but at this point, I don't want to hurt my knees so I'm waiting till I'm under 300 and then will give it another try. My cardio of choice is ellyptical machine, I just love it! My meals yesterday: Protein shake - homemade calorie countdown milk - 80 calories 3 carbs, 8 grams of protein Vanilla protein powder - 120 calories, 3 carbs, 23 grams of protein 1/8th a cup of blueberries - 15 calories, 3 carbs So 220ish calorie shake, 9 carbs, 31 grams of protein. Lunch - pot luck at work (enemy territory!) Fried chicken, with skin peeled off - 113 calories, 15 grams of protein cottage cheese - just a scoop - 41 calories, 2 carbs, 6 grams of protein crab salad (just the crab part, left the rest) - 56 calories, 2 carbs, 5 protein green beans - just one spoon full about 5 green beans! - 9 calories, 2 carbs, 1 protein Total - 219 calories, 6 carbs, 26 grams of protein! Dinner - went to a buffet (crazy after lunch but oh well) salad (ate a bite of the tomato and 2 pieces of ham chunks) Burbon street pork - no idea but had probably 1/4th a cup green beans (had 2 green beans, they werent cooked well enough) Apple grilled pork chop - half the chop SF pudding - probably a bad idea but mostly whipped cream, probably 1/4 a cup. SO yesterday was a bit of a crazy food day, but today will be better. lotsa protein, low cal, low carb.... I can do it!

I'm so sleeeeepy today! Mostly from boredom I think because it's just dead here at work right now.
Lol, just spilt 32 ounces of water on my lap. I'm awake now! I really need to get to bed early, I've gotten about 6 hours of sleep the last 2 nights. Tomorrow will be bliss, I'm going to sleep until I wake up! My son is at my parents house so I'll turn off the ringer from my phone and snoooooze Then I'll go to the gym and then I'll go to my parents house for mother's day. Then I'll come back to work....endless cycle ![]() |

1) No longer have to take diabetes medicine at all.
2)I've lost from 387 to 318.5 a total of 68 lbs 3) I've lost 4.5 inches off my chest, 6 inches off my waist, 6 inches off my hips, 1 inch from my neck, 1.5 inches from my upper arms, 2.5 inches from my thighs, 1 inch from my calves and 5 inches from 'under my chest' (back). For a total of 27.5 inches. The total inches thing is misleading I think because the more places you measure, the more inches you've lost right? ANYWAYS, I've seen people with much higher 'inches lost' numbers and clothing wise since I've always worn stretch stuff anyways, I don't notice much in the way of clothes. Yet. |
