Lifelong Challenge
I have finally decided to start a journal. I feel that if I have all of these wonderful eyes on me I will be more apt to stay on the straight and narrow.
I having been doing great on LC. No particular plan...mainly combination of several and experimentation to see what works best for me. I am 55 year old and have been overweight all my life. My highest weight was 230+. I quit weighing myself when I hit 230. In 1996 I put myself on a Low Fat/Low Cal diet and got down to 145. I went from very tight size 20 to nice size 6/8 but I have to admit I was hungry most of the time and didn't have enough protein in my diet so consequently I was very flabby and had a very unhealthy gray color to my skin. At that time I was working in a pharmacy and was in contact with several doctors that kept advising me to gain about 10 lbs. back and add more protein as I was unhealthy looking. When I quit my pharmacy job to relocate with DH who was in Army I gained back about 15lbs. of that weight I lost. Now 10 years later and age 55 I am battling menopausal weight gain. I am an exercise enthusiast so that is not my problem. I have been up and down on the scale from 175 to my current weight of 166 for the past 2 years. When I quit my job just before DH went to Iraq I noticed that my eating was horrible and I was putting on a few pounds. That horrified me!!! I am now on a journey to lose down to 155 again by keeping true with LC WOE. Last edited by HerbNurse : 05-07-2007 at 08:01 PM. |
