It's a New Day........................and a New Start for "me" .

I'm back for the ?? time. But this time is different. I have a made up mind to succeed and much prayer to get me through. If you really think about it, LCing is not hard at all. It's just a decision you have to make and stick with. You can't think about all the holidays, birthdays, and etc. It has to be your way of eating, EVERYWHERE you go. So with that out in the air, I'm happy to be here!

Hey Marlette,

I'm so proud of you , and to be able to wear a tight 12; is just amazing! I actually have a tight pair of size 12's on today with TOM. Thanks for the support .

I'm going to get back into taking pics and posting them. I think that kept me going a few rounds ago.

Yes, I started back swimming last week. I haven't gone to the pool this week thou (due to fast). I'm NOT trynna pass out in the pool (seriously). I've been power walking since I started the fast; which by the way is going VERY well. I feel good

So here we go again . I can't lose this race, and I know I CAN do it! I'm more prepared to start Induction this time, then I was the first time I tried it. I have my food down to the T. I have my work-out clothing laid out to hit the Gym in the morning or maybe take a 2 mile walk at the Park. The Gym may be packed because of the weekend?

Losing very fast right now!

I'm posting this specifically for people who feel demotivated on Atkins right now. I've just got to share this with you in the hope that this will help someone out there to stick to this.

I've been on Atkins for only 5 weeks and was losing steadily in the beginning, but something strange is happening to me, because I'm just losing so fast right now! I can't believe it.

When I started 5 weeks ago I weighed 172 pounds and got down to 165 pounds on Saturday 5th May after the first 4 weeks. I thought that a 7 pound loss over 4 weeks was fine and was very happy with that.

But since Saturday 5th May I seem to be losing about 1.8 pounds per day, every day consistently, and I'm down to 156 today, 11th May. I've lost 9 pounds in the last 5 days, and not in one big whoosh, but steadily over 5 days. (I weigh myself every morning.)

I can't understand it, but I'm sure not complaining! Perhaps my body just took a while to figure this new regime out and has finally decided to cooperate.

Look, I'm sure this won't last and I'm realistic about and aware of things like stalls and plateaus, but I'm loving this while it lasts.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'd love to know if this is common or not.

If anybody is wondering what I'm doing, I'm happy to share it, although I'm a little hesitant to give advice. I know that I'm very new at this, so I don't want to sound like a smart arse and then fall on my face 2 weeks later...lol.

Anyway, what I do is I just keep things as clean as possible. I don't bother with sauces or condiments or diet colas or coffees or anything else that I'm not 100% sure about. Not in Induction. I might attempt these things later, but for now my motto is :"IF IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT!"

How did your first day go?

I'm starting today, for real... So far so good. I'm looking forward to losing this weight once and for all. I had my share of JUNK FOODS !! I'm sick and disgusted right now. All that binging after those fast was NOT worth it! I'm done with those fast for now too. What a waste of time

Hey Meek,

Day #1 didn't start . I had some cake (red velvet) in the house that I wanted to finish up, so I don't set myself up for failure.

NOW - my husband's family is down from GA , so I didn't start today either. I plan to start tomorrow. I DON'T care who is here, I'm going to get this rolling. We are having a Mother's Day BBQ, and I know there will be plenty of meat (no sauce) and collards. I feel so bloated and I have had my share of junk too. So I'm right behind you. As you know, I'm starting Atkins. Kimkins is a good way to lose too, but I need some veggies . I don't want to feel deprived.

MEEK - let's do this .

Kimkins is veggies... K/E is not ! I'm on K/E for 5 days then I'm switching to just lean meats and veggies. I want to get into ketosis like now !!!
