Alexsange's Random Thoughts

Hi all,
Here is the first official entry into my journal. woo hoo!!!

From this point on I am not going to type properly, with capitals and all because I usually don't. At work I use all caps so I don't think about it. Just so you are warned.

i have completed my first week of induction and things are going okay. i don't crave sweets at all, i have the funky breath, and my tummy has a weird gurgly feeling in it.

it's funny i have been using my keto sticks, and they have moved up from beige, to light pink to medium pink and I never really had any induction symptoms until today.

what I did:
I woke up and drove my husband to work, and i felt so nauseous. I came home had a drink and 2 hard boiled egg whites, and i felt so icky and tired ( because i didn't sleep well) that i laid down and slept for 1.5hrs before getting up for work. I felt much better then, and off i went. After that i did go to burger king to grab lunch (a triple whopper with meat, cheese, tomato, and pickle only) and a side salad(lettuce, tomato, and 1/2 salad dressing) I didn't even finish all my salad....i was so full. And my mom's dogs got part of the bun so they were happy. I worked over there for a while and the went to pick up the hubby, a quick stop at walmart to pick up dinner. I was feeling pretty icky again the too, and i was super thirsty so a glass and half of sugar free peach tea later i cooked my dinner. hubby had something else (he isn't doing Atkins, just taking some trim spa) for dinner i had a nice London broil with some spice. I didn't finish that either, so i will have the leftovers for breaky. I surfed the net, played mario bros, and then came in here. I also had hubby take some picks with me in my undies and bra so I can track my progress. (and to share if needed). I also had 2 pepperoni sticks from wal mart (90 cal, 8 fat, 1 carb, 8 prot each) and 2 babybel chedar cheese (70cal, 5 fat, .5 carb, 5 prot each)

but anyways, back to the induction ickyness... I am not sure, but my body has changed how it acts. such as my tummy will be gurgly, and i don't feel hungry like i used to....but if i do have something, the gurlies stop...maybe it is me being hungry. i think it will just have to see.

food calculations are from calories per hour (if did not eat full amount, all cals are still included)

and some water from drinking fountain

so i guess that is everything.

Hi all,
Just a quick update, I will update a bit later.

I just started that TOM which i haven't had in a few months because i was too heavy, and with that came the whoosh fairy. I lost 4lbs, and some inches.

New measurements
start weight 286
todays weight 280
bust (48.5) 46.25
upper tummy (54.5) 54
lower tummy ( 57.5) 56.5
hips (57) 55

whoo who, I am shirinking!!!!

Today was pretty interesting, I stayed home and did housework. I also got dragon breath ....which is kinda weird because i happen to love it, but i worry about dear hubby. I also went up a ranking in my color on the sticks. i am kinda tired and i have to get up early so this will be quick.

food lists:
breaky - 3 eggs, 1tsp worchester sauce, 1 babybel cheese (5)
lunch- 2 babybel cheese, 2 peperoni sticks (4)
dinner- 8 oz steak and 9 porkrinds (0)
snack- revolution roll , margerine, 1/2 packet spenda, nutmeg (1.2)

so total I had 10.2 c, the full breakdown is below:
cals : 1680.1
fat: 101.0 55%
prot: 177.6 43%
carbs: 10.2 2%
liquid: diet soda....i was thirsty today, and i know i will get a headche later from all the liquids...

i remember reading somewhere about the percentages that some great losers (in weight) use, but i can't remember where it is to compare my stuff, and since my book is in the mail on it's way to me....i will just have to wait.

anyways i am sleepy so I will try to update tomarrow (at mom's house)

salmony goodness

hello all,

today was very interesring because i went over to my mom's house early this morning when i was still kinda groggy from waking up a few times last night... so i had an easy day. i also noticed that i was hungrier today and did not have dragon breath, although i did have good sticks. maybe because i wasn't running arround as much, and didn't really go outside that much (it was super super windy)

i had 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of cheese, and a few slices of pepperoni for breakfast.
for lunch i had steak, 2 cheese wheels, and 2 revolution roll slices ( i didn't have cream of tartar so I used a substitute so they flattened a bit )

and for dinner I made mom and myself some salmon that she buys at costco, you just thaw and cook. it is very tasty. she had leftover garlic potatoes from easter, and i have a salad with lettuce, cheese, real bacon bits, and a dressing i made from apple cider vinegar and olive oil.

for liquid i have some water and soda today. not very much because i haven't been thirsty. I also made up some hamburger patties for lunch tomarrow. I am working so i was planning on scrambled eggs with bacon and maybe some revolution toast. i toasted some up today carefully and it was okay. i want to eat them up because i won't be back here for a week, and i don't want them to go bad. because of the extra carbs, i am not going to have cheese tomarrow, just meats and maybe a salad.

i know that we shouldn't count calories, but based on my other days i did eat more today. it may be because of tom, or could be because i was super active yesterday, and i am not worried, because it is good to change things up a bit.

well i need to get back to the luxury of watching tv......

where does the time go

Hi!

I can't believe it has been so long since I updated. I admit I am not the best at keeping a journal....I have tried many times. I usually can't update from thurs to tues because of being away from home or working 10 hrs to turn around and go back within 12...I like my schedule....

anyways a whole bunch of stuff happened since i have updated. some is good, and some is not so good, bt overall i am happy. I am down 9lbs, which does not seem very much for being on plan for almost a month. I keep under 20 carbs a day and my sticks are good....but then i don't do any excercise except for funtime with my husband and some light housework. I know i should do more, but i am not....

also i have been having majorly stressful issues with work. there is so much drama there and it is just disapointing. plus apparently the guy in charge is totally afraid of any sort of confrontation, so he always waits until the last last minute to say something, so it totally messes up any sort of semblance of plans you may have. in fact i was stressful enough to contemplate going off plan....like getting some fast food, french fries, hushpuppies, ice cream, donuts ( i have been wanting donuts for a while) and just saying it won't hurt and i will feel better.....but then a lil voice i haven't heard before, the lil one that likes to burn fat and wants to go to hawaii said "if you do that, you will lose more days, and you will feel worse" so i just had some mozzela balls, steak, and a small, small square of sugar free chocolate....

plus i also had an issue with my local stop and buy our expensive drinks because it is cheaper than where you work. i like having diet dr pepper for work because i can get a big cup and it last all day and is cheap and caffiene free. well on sat it had an out of order sign so i got something else but sunday it was working so i filled up and went. now i am fairly sugar sensitive so i have trouble telling diet from regular and plus it is dr pepper so you aren't supposed to know. so along i went....and knocked myself out of ketosis....*sigh*

the good thing are that i did do some retail therapy and got some good deals...i even got a shirt in a lower size which fits kinda tight, but i can't wait until it looks good. i also the atkins 72 book i ordered so i am reading that, and has some yummy sounding dishes. i have been meaning to make a quiche, and some revolution rolls. I will do that tomarrow.

that is all i an think of now, i am kinda tired... i have been up since 6
